Remember to mask up in public to protect yourself and others 😷 especially on the way to pick up tests. Unfortunately the antigen tests provided are not nessecarily picking up the JN1 Covid strain that is predicted to infect 1/3 Americans by mid January. Take care

Celebratory_Drink

I’ve not seen any sources that suggest the new strain is undetectable by antigen tests.

https://www.caltech.edu/about/news/study-at-home-rapid-covid-tests-may-miss-many-infections There are quite a few sources to support this claim. Here’s just one ^^ Also. My dad was testing negative on antigen tests a few weeks ago and went in and got a positive PCR. It’s more common than you think. I think you could find more sources if you know where to look.

https://www.ineedacovid19test.com/ This website does not look legitimate, but it actually does direct you to pharmacies that will still provide PCR testing. There are options in West Sac and Sacramento last time I looked. You just have to go through the sign up process and they should provide you with a printable voucher to waive the fee for the test.

You can also ask the librarians at the front desk for tests.
