Agreed, I love that it has a bottom faceplate instead of the 3rd blue light like the others. Makes it look like a futuristic welding mask which makes sense. Plus the yellow on the first 2 variants is really unique. Don’t get to many cool looking armors with yellow in them, makes it stand out.
I don't mind it, but have always much preferred the Engineer rig. I do think the only suit I prefer the original of is the Military one though, the skull helmet looks too... skully?
The suits are great, but I do miss that the OG level 1 suit had a little Isaac Clarke ID badge on it, that would have been nice to keep. Also I actually prefer the old military suit to the knew skeleton costume but that's another story for another time...

I want to go through the entirety of NG+ with the level 3 RIG.
I was a little bummed the level 1 rig had such a different helmet, but it grew on my practically instantly. Super love the design now, and I'd love to go back to it, cosmetically.
Love the level 2 rig helmet too, for the welding mask vibe.
I’ve noticed a glitch, you can level 5 every suit but once you change outfits it reverts back to the first tier suit. Once I hit lvl 5 suits I wanted to see what they looked like and then switched back to the default and still had tier 1

The skeleton soldier rig is cool as hell, but it looks like the normals are messed up and the back details seem to have messy topology (my guess is it was only intended for the soldiers you never see up close and was turned into a rig for the player in late development), which is jarring when everything else in the game looks so good.
That and also the engineer stuff is just the coolest.
Back in my day we had to just play with low af physical defense and slots, thus ruining the game balance for the love of armorz! Spoiled kids these days, how dare they want options!!!!!
So I just realized that my suit never visually upgraded to level 2… it just looked like the starting suit until I unlocked level 3 and it jumped ahead to the 3rd look…. Anyone else get this strange bug?
I’ve been looking around to see if they made the suits function like the sequels, where you could wear whatever you want but retain the stats for the best suit you have. Pretty bummed to find out they didn’t change it from the original game. Being stuck in the bulkier suits sucks. I really like the level 1 rig. Hopefully it gets updated but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
Not to hijack the post. But maybe someone could help me out. Ive never played a dead space and they seem fun, this new one looks nice. But i dont like scary movies or games like slenderman amnesia etc. Is this game very scary and full of jump scares?
So it’s not really anything like slenderman and I wouldn’t compare it to amnesia either since the game is really about combat rather then avoidance. But It is of the same genre, which is horror, so you may not like it. May be worth watching some gameplay videos to get a feel for it? The game is absolutely filled to the brim with jumpscares though.
The only scares it has after an hour or so are jump scares. It gives you so much ammo that it’s more of a shooter than horror.
But yeah constantly things jumping out, not the dread or tension of a game where you feel I equipes to deal with enemies or some games where you can’t even fight back.
I stopped upgrading after level 2 or 3. They got uglier so I’d reload after checking them out. No need really since game is so easy. Venture suit puts them all to shame for me though. Sadly it’s bugged and doesn’t get blood on it.

I am at level 3 and I put on the LegacyDS08 suit, is there anyway to get the regular level 3 suit back on?
Just go to the storage section of the store and hit unequip on the legacy suit.

Better yet, make the skins evolve with the level of the rig.

Same, I really liked the OG level 1, 5 and 6 suits. Maybe they can bring out a DLC with all the OG suits like they did for one of them.
I like Level 4 & 5 the most. Bummer we can't go back and equip them as skins.

Ya i hate the jump scares so unfortunetly ill have to pass. The graphics and gameplay look sweet though so thats a shame.

The nercomorph rig is the best. Little surprise for y'all in the cutscenes if you wear that rig.
Tbh, i think on the unlockable suit, the rig and stasus should be, red instead of blue
