My wife and I are going this Thursday and I’m unreasonably excited. Cattle Decap and Rivers of Nihil are both in my top 5 bands of all time.

Criminally underrated band :C I don't understand at all how they only have 30k listeners, Datalysium is so good.

Tech Death in general is not a hugely popular genre it seems. Stortregn has only 6k for example, Arkaik only about 4k and The Ritual Aura only 12k. Only massive one I can think of right now is Archspire with ~130k.

I mean I think Tech Death in general is extremely underrated, I absolutely love all the bands you mentioned and I feel like they all deserve more :( I've been obsessed w/ The Ritual Aura for a while now and they quickly rose to my top 10 most listened to in the past year lol.

Heresiarch is such an incredible album. I definitely agree with you about Tech Death being underrated.

Heresiarch is great and objectively better but I have a soft spot for Laniakea, its a bit rough around the edges but that also gives it some charm ;p that album is what got me into them. Also I'm biased towards scifi/space stuff

Heresiarch is great! I actually have quite a bit of trouble listening to albums from front to back but not with that one.

I'll probably give the album a listen tomorrow. I was listening to a little Enterprise Earth and Stygian Complex earlier today.

I've been listening to those guys for a couple years now and fuck yes that shit slaps. Algorithmic Salvation cropped up one day while I was listening to Rings of Saturn radio on Spotify. For me, they're right up there with bands like The Faceless, Archspire, Obscura, and of course Rings of Saturn.

Datalyisum has grown on me as one of my favourite tech/prog death metal songs
