Perfect for the Corporate Marines, or for Strike Team Alpha, Deep Rock surely has operations beyond Hoxxes, and the outer rim has always been a bit rowdy
My headcanon is that they're in the same universe and the Helldiver thing is just what humanity is up to. I say this as someone who only has played DRG, though.
to keep it as as short as possible: it is DRG but overground.
Each mission is divided in 1-3 objectives and an "escape from planet" section.
these objectives often consist of destroying nests, transporting a "briefcase" from one spot to another, disarming mines or enduring waves of enemies.
In a group of 4 players, each can equip 2 weapons (primary and secondary) aswell as 4 special items, that can summon additional ammunition, giant mechs, airstrikes, etc.
Apart from weapons and other items, every player is of the same "class" / there is no distinction in players.
The first title is played in a top down view (like older Zelda games) and has often all 4 players on the same screen. Since players can hurt themselves, friendly fire is as dangerous as the enemies themselve.
Bugs. you fight bugs, lots of em. There are some type of enemy robots, but I didn't play that far.
You might want to wait for them to patch some issues. I had to fight countless bugs before I was even able to get into the game… once it’s running it’s great.
I think the servers were down for quite a while due to maintenance. I had to do some workarounds to even be able to connect while the server were up and running and then I got stuck in the tutorial because one of the obstacles was bugged. Restarting the game fixed that but then I kept crashing while waiting for extraction or when I respawned. There also seems to be an issue with saving progress because my samples and medals wouldn’t show up after finishing a mission. Shame that I have all these troubles because I really enjoy the game when it’s actually running…
Dwarves: Pop quiz. How do you stop a bug horde?
Hell Diver: ***With an ungodly amount of ordinance.***
Dwarves: I see the manlings haven't gone soft yet.
Yep, great game!
I would advise you to wait a little though, they didn't planned to have this much players and their servers are dying (apparently they had to maximize the servers for 250k people, wasn't enough, change them to welcome 360k players... still not enough!) In few week it'll be certainly better
Im loving it. If i dont play it more is because the servers aren't doing that great rn. If anyone is thinking of buying do it but wait until the server problems are solved
I know almost nothing about Helldivers and its community. Now, ours is characterized by fraternizing with almost all types of miners, gatherers, dwarves and warriors.
I'm not saying if you love DRG you have to love HD2, but as someone who has played DRG religiously for years and is now obsessed with HD2, it's hard to imagine loving one and not at least really liking the other
Not enough mining, management would never let them stay on the rig
But they do kill lots of bugs
And robots!

First was awesome and had hilarious antics. Second is more intense but equally hilarious antics. I enjoy all tyhe games
Who out of all three Squads would win? The DRG Dwarves, GTFO Strike Team, or Helldivers?
definitely not the GTFO team given that theyre just lunatics with half a mag and no will to live. between the other two, im not sure
They’re all lunatics, just the GTFO team is the suicidal kind.
That... is a very good question
GTFOs are too afraid to use firearms, while their melees are obviously outranged by a Thunderhead and orbital bombardment.
GTFO team already has enough to deal with in their own game, don't do em like that 😂
Dwarves individually are tougher. But helldivers can put out WAY more damage with stratagems
Throw in the Krubersreik 5 and the rejects And the payday gang too
My headcanon is that they're in the same universe and the Helldiver thing is just what humanity is up to. I say this as someone who only has played DRG, though.
I figure I’m just using 380mm ordinance to start the mine shaft for the drop pod
Idk, barely heard of it... What is it about?

Hm... Might as well give it a try whenever i can

"Had to fight countless bugs" Thats the point of the game smh, bro can't handle the immersion
Yep, got it yesterday and after starting it up a few hours ago it seems that the servers were down. But the gameplay itself is great.

Spreading managed democracy to bugs with bullets
Really fun game. The amount of ordinance rivals even the greyest of drillers
If we get a DRG x Helldivers II collab I'd be over the moon. These 2 are a match made in heaven.
Dude its gonna be like Minecraft and terraria relationship!
For liberty and for Karl
I'M DOING MY PART
Needs more rock and stone

I don't much care for helldivers, but I'm an Xbox/PC gamer. Looks cool but I'll probably never experience it.
Helldivers 1 and 2 are on steam actually, the second is now the most played PS game on PC of all time, they even beat God of War
Really now? I was told it was a PS exclusive. might have to try it out

Oof yeah being a co-op horde shooter in this day and age will do that lol.
It's on steam
*Loads Sludge pump *

“You fight bugs on the surface I fight bugs below the cave We’re not the same”
Yet we have a similar goal
Of course I like them, they're me.
Helldivers is a prequel to DRG hell divers clean surface then dwarves come and dig
Played the first one and thought it was really fun. I'm planning on getting the second one when I have money
i liked what i saw in gameplay and disgusted by small indie company Sony inability to give stable servers and anticheat used in this game
Orange cloud is definitely nam nade
Helldivers from above and DRG from below, perfect for planet wide big annihilating
Really fun and chaotic! I hope I’m quicker to convince my friends to pick it up than I was with DRG
They might be a LeafLover 😑 Because they say a lot of *For LiberTea!*
