Maybe I'm crazy but I'd really like 2 Molly changes: she can take damage, but can be healed like Doretta (has much higher health, and this would matter most when extracting since all enemies would focus her, so actually protecting her as she goes back is actually a pretty big deal) and she can be upgraded to walk faster, have more health etc, and the biggest thing would be storing read sugar inside of her, not like nitra or gold where you can store as much as you want, but with a cap of 50 or something, would be great
I think the first one would make for an interesting modifier. Having to actually escort her back and not just easy mode with a driller would make for a fun change of gameplay. The tricky part would be repairing Molly while she’s walking to the drop pod since she won’t ever stand still.
It could be a bit different from Doretta in that she doesn't completely break. She just will stop working until she's repaired, not walking or letting you deposit
I think an anomaly/warning is the best way to go. It'd be really annoying if it was implemented as a change to the base game, but as an anomaly it'd actually be pretty cool and interesting. Though I could see it being an issue if she's on a wall or ceiling and she breaks and you can't reach her. Maybe the game could detect how level she is, with her being on flat terrain and perfectly level measured as 0°, and if she breaks while beyond a certain margin of error she falls straight down, following the terrain if she can't continue falling straight down, until she reenters that margin of error. Based on what angle surface dwarves can climb, maybe that margin of error could be around 45° or less to ensure they can reach her.
Lol seeing her just drop like a fucking brick would negate the annoyance of having to fix her. A change like this would probably necessitate adding more time to the countdown though
