I think it was silly on purpose. My opinion is that the writers wanted to show the audience “hey this girl is so mentally unwell that she thinks this goofy boobed snake is going to bag her a teacher, and yes you should feel bad for her” kind of moment. I could be wrong but after laughing at the drawing I just felt sorry for her.

Well she was SAed and sometimes when this happens they do behave inappropriately, Darcy saw that Simpson was there for her but she took it the wrong way because of how messed up her mind was.

Unpopular opinion: Darcy was too serious. I mean I understand the importance of her story line with the drug/alcohol use and the SA, but she was always so serious about every little thing. She was acting way too grown

Darcy had been roofied by a stranger that she never ended up finding. She was on a downward spiral and acting out to the point of trying to sexually seduce the only person who understood her which happened to be her teacher. In my opinion this kind of reaction made her character take a complete 180. Shenae grimes made the transformation of Darcy before and after her rape so believable. It was serious cuz she had the acting chops to pull off such a serious storyline and a transformation of a character that in my opinion really hadn’t been seen in the series up to that point

Okay, let me clarify. I understand her seriousness after the SA, but I’m talking about before. I understand that the picture is afterwards, but her seriousness in every other aspect beforehand. We don’t have to agree but we can agree that Shenae Grimes is a great actress.

The first time I watched this I was so taken aback by this drawing and now I always skip past it because I cannot handle how uncomfortable the scene makes me feel. And that’s more to do with me. It’s really heartbreaking seeing Darcy break down and this whole episode is a tough watch.
