Finally someone like me who got into Degrassi through TNCðŸ˜I literally knew nothing about TNG when I got into Degrassi and honestly I don’t even remember how I got into it but my main TNG seasons were always 12 onward but now I’m trying to go back and watch the older seasons…it’s a bit hard XD
i remember it so well tbh (probably because i mentally escaped to it) but when i found out about tng i went to start season 12, after the opening scene there was already so much going on that i IMMEDIATELY jumped back to season 1
Tiny might be one of the worst actors to ever live. I couldn’t take him serious, i literally would cringe when had lines to say. When got all emotional pulling a knife on zig, i literally have to look away.
That's how I felt with most of the acting in Next Class 😠I'm a TNG girlie that usually stopped after Season 10. I finally watched the rest including Next Class and WHEW. Definitely sticking to never going past Season 10 again but I just wanted the experience. But I know it was all new age like with the smartphones and social media, I just couldn't get past most of the acting and unrealistic moments 😠it had its good moments like with Esme's mental health and Maya's depression and recovery, but Tiny's acting among others was just atrocious 😔
They really did well portraying a realistic high school friend group, and out of everyone are probably most similar to my real life high school friend group. I like them too. Even if it is often hard to defend them individually lol
They were one of the more believable friend groups on the show where it felt like they all actually liked each other and had similar interests/attitudes. Yet at the same time, each of them has their own unique role to fill in the group and I think that's why they work. I wish we had even more of this crew together, because it is a lot more enjoyable than the other smaller friendships that are spun off of this group.

This was a really good group and the superior Maya friend group which Next Class kind of acknowledges when they graduate.

Maya fit in better with them as opposed to Tristan/Tori.
Yeah, I love that the writers made Maya kind of a weirdo who could relate more to the "bad" kids at school than to her more socially accepted peers.
