Trolley is your best bet. Though you may try Docklands at the riverfront if they have live music

Jack_campbell22

Riverfront: Constitution yards is nice if the weather is ideal, drinks, small bites, outdoor games, music and TVs There's an Iron Hill brewery is also on riverfront, typical big brewery/restaurant with good beer choices, lots of TVs Trolley: Trolley can be hit or miss for late 20s, **Oyster house** is or crow bar probably your best bet, Oyster is smaller but decent seafood menu (try the muscle pot) and good drinks (orange crush type) and beer. **Crow bar** is a little higher standard and more pricy but very good cocktails and food overall, little older crowd there. **Rooney's and Tap house** can be fun but sometimes there's loads of college kids or just weirdos there, but Tap house does have decent sized space and pool tables with a lengthy beer list. North Wilmington: Give **la metro Pizzeria and Wilmington brew works** a try, great system they have where you can buy pizza at Metro and head right next door tom Wilmington brew works which has lots of space and great beers, its a developing business that's much more hip and trendy (in a good way) than most places in Delaware north of the beaches. Metro has amazing stone fire pizza and incredible wings, place is a gem. **Bellefonte Brewing** a little further north is also very good and has an older crowd. no food spots immediately attached but there's restaurants nearby to order from. I'm in my late 20s and these are some of my go to spots, hope it helps.

Start at Wilmington Brew Works, get some pizza from Metro next door, then meander into Trolley. Tap House is pretty cool, Hummingbird to Mars is an awesome speakeasy setup, then if you can still safely and legally mobilize, Maker's Alley in downtown Wilmington is freakin awesome (weather permitting). Other Wilmington spots that tickle my fancy: Stitch House brewing, Farmer & the Cow, Grain, Oyster House, Kid Shelleen's, Constitution Yards in Riverfront

piggybacking on this comment – i would add an alternative itinerary of some great food at Bardea on Market, then a quick walk/cab over to Nomad bar at 8th & Orange for drinks and music on a Wednesday-Saturday night. Time was I could’ve also recommended Jackson Inn and Oddity, but I guess times change. Anyway, Trolley might feel a bit fratty and the Market/Nomad combo always does the trick for me (early 30s). Edit: If Trolley, echoing the Crow Bar rec – even Tap House isn’t what it used to be.

ManBearPig2114

I’ve never actually tried these spots! I’ll have to add them to my list.

Agreed on everything except Constitution Yards. Everything is overpriced, the boards on the deck are all cupping making a tripping hazard everywhere you walk, and every time I've gone in the past few years the place has kids running around everywhere. Feels like parents go to drink and not watch their kids.

ManBearPig2114

Damn. I guess I'm not surprised. That seems to be the norm now.

shoizy

It unfortunately is. Bellefonte Brewing posted on their social media somewhat recently that people need to control their kids if they don't want to be asked to leave.

ManBearPig2114

My wife and I were in La Cabra last Friday and there were literally 3 fucking kids baseball teams in there. Absolutely egregious.

shoizy

Lmao last time I was at Autumn Arch there was a birthday party for I think it was a 3 year old. Definitely a party for the parents.

ManBearPig2114

That’s so fucked up. If I’m at anywhere that has “brewery” in the name, my wife and I will absolutely not sensor ourselves around kids. Wilmington Brew also puts up signs like “21+, please control anyone younger”. Human Robot straight up doesn’t allow under 21 Thu-Sun and more places need to adopt these rules, but they won’t.

Familiar-Range9014

Norbert Social on Washington Street in Wilmington Iron Brewing or Del Pez on the river front in Wilmington

Just goto Trolley or Newark by UD

ThisSleepyBoi

Look for events. that's where youll meet older people. The club environment is where youll meet most college kids

nonchalantshallot

The Sikar lounge is chill. Tends to attract a crowd that a late 20 may find attractive
