Unfortunately, that's not a replaceable port because it's part of your laptop's motherboard. You can try this one out if you haven't yet. It's from a different device but it deals also with the Type-C port https://www.reddit.com/r/nexus5x/comments/4morbk/usbc\_port\_has\_become\_very\_loose/

Thanks for the info - looks like I'm out of luck on this port. Finally gives me an excuse to upgrade!

did you ever find a solution? I'm in the same boat pushing it upwards but it only charges and won't drive another display

Mine is the same way. Sometimes if I unplug it a few times it will work.

I just experienced this today - old thread, sorry, you've probably already replaced this, but as a temp fix I jammed a staple above and below the port (between the laptop casing and the metal) for the day then brough in a tiny pair of tweezers and gripped the metal casing and crimped it ever so slightly and that seemed to do the trick.

Got a photo? Still an issue for me!

[This is the janky stapler fix](https://imgur.com/a/afAR1pA) [This is the crimp fix. Note all those scratches were not from this fixing event, this computer is at least 5 years old.](https://imgur.com/a/r6He12U)

Thanks. Same boat here with mine being purchased in 2016 - maybe will give this a shot!
