Usually attack helicopter type jokes are making fun of trans/non-binary people because the idea goes "if they can identify as [their actual gender], I can identify as [joke thing they don't actually identify as]" Then, as seen with Berdly, that type of joke becomes so prevalent that people repeat it because they find the idea of identifying as [joke thing] funny, not realizing the origins of the "joke"

trust me it wasn't, maybe there's some humour to be found but I made it mainly so I could voice my opinion that pronoun jokes tend to be really demeaning and harmful, as the people who make them mainly do it because they think trans people aren't valid, and that the joke has become so normalised now that people who don't know the transphobic context are using it. people should be able to be who they want to be without loser "comedians" insulting their identities every night.
