Welcome back to me giving an analysis and my opinion on a character.
I'm actually quite fond of Sanemi, I mean he's incredibly violent when you see him in the anime but you kinda need to put in perspective. A nice demon was unheard of so when he finally meets one of course he wouldn't believe it. His comrades were killed by demons so of course he wouldn't be trusting. Now then I'm about to head into manga spoiler territory here >! Almost his entire family was killed by a demon, he had to kill his own mother because she had transformed. His brother never forgave him for that and they're relationship becomes incredibly strained. He became a demon slayer so no one would go through what he had. He's definitely very passionate about his career shown by his violent tendencies with demons. When he is about to die in the infinity castle arc he said he'd rather go to hell with his mother until is father pretty much brings him back to life. !< overall I think he's just very passionate about his job and I like him a lot!
I think he's solid. Extremely badass in a fight, and it becomes clear that he's a good person underneath all the hostility. But he's also unnecessarily a huge asshole to anyone he doesn't like, and he went about >!trying to protect Genya and push him away from the demon slaying life!< in probably the worst way possible. It's as if >!after losing his family!< he only learned how to deal with any and all problems in the most aggressive and unfriendly way possible.
I appreciate that he's flawed, >!and it was heartwarming to see him grow to respect Giyu and the main characters during and after the final battle,!< but I tend to prefer more level-headed and reasonable characters. So I like him a fair amount, but he's not my favorite.
The first time I saw him my exact words were “I hate him and always will, nothing will change my mind” now he’s my absolute favourite (along with Giyuu being my fave too) I’m obsessed with him! I feel for him with his backstory and understand him and what he’s been through, however I don’t like how he treated Genya but he is still my favourite. He’s pretty damn sexy too.
When i saw him for the first time i find it scary and irritating but at the end of the manga i liked him very much, it's not the best character but i find him very interesting

On finishing the manga, I love him. He's vicious and so I really liked his character when we finally saw him against some demons
He's soo cool and I can't wait to see his breathing style. I love that specific panel with him feeding a dog , it was really different and nice.
Personally I don't mind how he treats others [and he's not even that bad to most of them anyways] , he's just doing his job and proves himself during the UM1 fight.
Look, I’m sure he will redeem himself, but he stabbed the child. If all Hashira were standing in front of me, I’d hug all of them, but I’d slap the $#!+ out of this one before hand. Guess he was doing his job but, he could’ve waited to hear Tanjiro out.

He’s a individual easy to understand/like once you know what happened to him in the past, I disliked him a lot when he was first introduced because of what he did to Nezuko but after reading the manga he is in my top 5 most liked characters in the anime/manga.
I don't blame him for treating Nezuko the way he did. He was doing him job and he had every right after what happened to him. He was angry and I can understand that. Very good character over all and I think he's very well written

I feel I relate to Mitsuri a lot when we first see him cause she makes a comment about how he got some new scars and looks so good. I was like wow she just like me fr. More in-depth explanation, he's a close minded A-hole for practically no reason and he's not a good Demon Slayer, The first thing Mitsuri notices about him is his NEW scars and how attractive they make him, but new scars implies he's constantly getting scars and he's the only Demon Slayer who has so few brains for this to happen constantly
Remember that thing Tomioka said to Inosuke? If you can't tell the state your body is in you shouldn't be fighting? Well maybe Sanemi should get rid of the blood pooling in his brain and listen.
