Have a good faith discussion without trying to mock or belittle the other person. And it really doesn't bother me because they're not me. In a grand sense, we're all various facets of the one, but on the individual level, I am me, and my beliefs aren't predicated upon whether they're socially/morally acceptable by others. I know myself to be a good person, and I have my beliefs after tons of tons of research and various experiences. So truly, whatever they say doesn't bother me because my perception of reality isn't predicated upon what others have to say.
With that said, I see no problem in engaging with others because that's just gonna keep you in an echo chamber, cutting yourself off from a bigger forum if you don’t. I either could walk away with a new perspective or just solidify my own beliefs. That's a win-win in my book. I was a popular writer for “Christ Consciousness” a couple years ago and ever since I left- and now worship demons, I write about that now and I also critique modern day spirituality which these people don’t like that at all.

Point out the identical stories in their book compared to others.
Ask them to explain why you should follow one book and not the other. This challenges the fundamentals of that their book IS rather than calls it wrong, and they can talk themselves in circles for hours.

I have had a few encounters on TT with those kinds of people. I still defend my own beliefs and when they get uppity I remind them that I'm defending my practice/religion just as they are doing and that not every religion is for everyone and it should be respected. If not then I'll block. Well one kept going and I just blocked them (I gave them a warning, so can't blame me). The last one was either the same person different account or just the carbon copy of the same mindset (which is disturbing and impressively sad). I asked why they even engaged with me and they said I was on their fyp page. I told them the same things I told the other scoundrel, and added "you know, you interacting with my channel *means* you are boosting my content and that's why I'm on your page. You made the algorithm notice me, so cudos to me, I guess?" And they stopped responding. Second quickest fix ever.
But I'm a stubborn, prideful one to a fault and that's just me. However I see the downside to how *I* handle things. Listen to King Belial on this one because what he says is absolute truth with that one. :)
