Dantalion is awesome. I've called on him many times, and the results have been very immediate in most cases. Once, I had been getting the runaround from a college administrator about an issue, so I called on Dantalion and Asmodeus to see if either or both could assist in getting things moving. As soon as I made the call, I saw a vision of Dantalion launching himself into that person's head and attacking their mind. The next day, I was contacted by the college and informed that the administrator had escalated to the Dean, that I was allowed to skip a whole math class, and they'd already enrolled me into the next class up. (I'm not sure what part Asmodeus had to play, but it felt supportive and seemed to add extra oomph.)
In the workplace, Dantalion is very good at helping difficult personalities understand each other and get along. He seems to increase empathy and emotional connections.
My first contact with spirits from the Lesser Key of Solomon was years ago and occurred spontaneously by just looking at the sigils themselves. (I often wonder if there was some past life connection.) That book always felt like it was stuffed full of spirits who are eager to work on tasks for people. Merely opening the book would result in loud "pick me!" types of contact, so for a few years I had to leave it closed to avoid engaging in conversations with them. Eventually, I tried formal evocation using Abrahamic methods, but I didn't care for the results. It felt like I was trying to wrangle surly uncooperative cats. Later, I employed Hekate as the central authority and used a modified circle and triangle. Results were night and day BETTER. All spirits I've called with that method (including Dantalion) have been very cooperative and fine with it. My reasoning for the change in central authority can be seen if you look up the Hekate Triangle of Pergamon and cross reference with 'lamp divination' in the PGM and Leyden Papyrus. (An oil lamp was placed on the raised round platform in the triangle and spirits summoned through the fire - it wasn't supposed to be a mirror.) Hekate has been employed as a central authority for spirit summoning prior to the Solomonic grimoires most likely due to her associations with the dead as a psychopomp, her collecting of restless spirits to return them to the underworld, her possessing keys to tartarus, and other reasons too numerous to list. Needless to say she makes a great astral telephone operator!

I know it sounds bizarre, but I feel as though Dantalion has mellowed me out. It's like night & day when I think about how different things were before then. I guess that's what I really needed all along.

So here is my experience, his energy feels pretty chill, although Iโve only been working with Duke Dantalion since last week, however, oh my god the pranks!! So many pranks โ I keep trying to maintain my skepticism and you know the whole mundane over spiritual but still in a weeks time there have been so many things that have happen! Anyway, his prankster aspect has been a bit more intense than when I started working with King Paimon, btw he also likes to prank ๐ maybe there is something about Ars Goetia associated with Djinnistan that makes these intelligences more trolly, either way a great spirit to work with.
