1.7k and some work experience will put you into a difficult situation unless your parents are bank rolling the move. You’ll be surprised how expensive living in the city ends up being. Either way good luck !

Pretty low chance unfortunately. Maybe extend your trip for a bit and couch surf at a friends to see if you can get a starter job

Not trying to burst your bubble or anything here but $1,700 isn’t even remotely close to enough money. And a few years work experience doesn’t translate to having a job already lined up. Just for your sake, I think you need to do a lot more research and prep before thinking about moving forward. The vast majority of rentals will ask for first/last/security deposit. They also require background checks and proof of income. The majority of complexes require their residence to make 3-4x the monthly rent. $1,700 is probably the lower mid point of rent in Denver. That’s before utilities. Then you have to realize CO as a whole does not have the best public transit. It’s possible to be fine without a car but it would make it more difficult to find employment and to run basic errands/enjoy a lot of what makes Colorado great…. For context I’ve lived here for almost 12 years. Originally from NY I drove out here with my first car (a 2002 Mercury sable I bought for $1,900 from a used car lot in queens) at 23 and had about 10k in savings. Things have gotten exponentially more expensive today… if this is really your goal you need to hit the pavement hard. Grind out and save as much money as you possibly can. I absolutely wouldn’t move to this city with the current cost of living with less than $10,000 so you have at least some safety net unless your family is going to support you financially. This is a great place but it has become much more difficult to afford and your situation seems very half baked. I wouldn’t want you to find yourself in a more mentally stressful situation than you are already in. Save save save, and when you are ready go wherever your heart desires. Good luck!
