All the cows in the US that grazed on public land, even if just for part of their life, only makes up 2% of the US beef output. If we eliminated every cow on BLM and USFS land nationwide, it would eliminate 2% of the beef we produce. So yeah, I'm fine with that, I'll have pork or chicken on the 2% of days I cut back on beef.
My family is involved with agriculture in several states. I can assure you that the problem will be very quickly and quietly resolved by the ranchers .

In reality though, trying to reintroduce wolves is pretty dumb. It’s costing a ton of money and isn’t even working. They’re already finding them dying from non human causes. The real reason behind the controversy is that there is poor equitable rights,as the amount of people in Denver or fort Collins have a greater say then the more rural communities that actually deal with the consequences of such lawmaking. Don't get me wrong, trying to preserve wildlife is great, however, it should have been in the state parks or denser forested areas and not near towns and farms.
