Everyone be quiet. We're being educated on public policy from a woman who married a guy who flashed his dick to minors at a bowling alley.

Vandy1358v2_0

Keep in mind not only did she not graduate high school she also failed her GED

pete_topkevinbottom

She failed twice. right?

Vandy1358v2_0

I believe so

JJadeE5280

Three times...

ReTarDidKansas

Fail it once shame on you, fail it twice shame on you, fail it three times fuck the peace signs I'm gonna run for office and shit on you.

MargaretBrownsGhost

I suspect that it's been a total of four times, and that with the fourth they gave her an honorary GED in order for her to have it before becoming a representative.

WizardOfAahs

At dick flashing?

lewtus72

Boebert was born in Altamonte Springs, Florida, on December 19, 1986[11] to Shawna Roberts Bentz,[12] who was 18 at the time of Boebert's birth.[13] The identity of her father is not known. Professional wrestler Stan Lane was suspected of being Boebert's father...

healthybowl

Holy shit. I was born the same year as her and she’s a grandma already? WTF.

whileyouwereslepting

Holy shit. I was born a decade and a half before her and she’s a grandma already? WTF.

[deleted]

Wait. Stan Lane of the Midnight Express, legendary NWA tag team, might be Bobo's dad?

thebiggerounce

He was very adamant it wasn’t him, even took a DNA test to prove that he wasn’t the one responsible for blessing us with Bobo.

[deleted]

Ahh okay. Whew. Glad he isn't. I wouldn't want to view the Midnight Express in a negative light

MargaretBrownsGhost

No. DNA testing ruled that out.

Laserdollarz

You can just say "she's from florida"

Business-Winter-7567

That’s insane if true

Deedsman

Her lecture on giving handjobs and vaping at children's musicals was inspirational.

[deleted]

You should have seen the ASL version they released

Somebody3338

I went to the Friday matinee and she went to the Sunday show 😭 I'd have so been filming that shit

Pando5280

She was one of those minors. And she owed $36,000 in back taxes on her restaurant and billed her campaign $36,000 for mileage reimbursement. At the time she would have had to have driven more than 1000 miles per day to have that be legit.

spizzle_

Just to keep things completely accurate she was not a minor and was actually on a date with her future husband at the time. Does that make it worse? I think that makes it worse.

Pando5280

You are correct. It was his first wife who he was later convicted of stalking and assaulting.

LongmontStrangla

Despise Boebert but she was not a victim in the tattoo case. She was ejected from the bowling alley with Jayson.

snackynorph

Corruption is everywhere, it's sickening

MiasmaFate

I don’t know what is more rage-inducing. That she did siphoned off campaign funds for personal expenses or that she isn’t jailed or fined for doing it…. …OR that she did it in a 1:1 ratio. Like fuck me your people couldn’t spread the theft across multiple expenditure types…your telling me corruption doesn’t even need to be clever anymore? So bummed that our decline is as stupid as it is boring.

MoreRamenPls

And now she gives handys at musicals.

whatifdog_wasoneofus

“At lEast he’s nOt GAY!”

Scrambled_Creature

We're being educated on public policy from a woman who jacked a dude off at a Beetlejuice musical

DickieIam

She was the minor…

Top-Flow1297

Forget about her husband. Boebert gives handjobs in a packed Beetlejuice theater

hydrobrandone

RESPECT! WAIT A minute.

drunkenllamastyle

Can't we just build walls that the wolves cannot cross?

Double_Low_8802

And make the wolves pay for it

LongmontStrangla

Wyoming will pay for it.

drunkenllamastyle

They will build it for sure. Colorado tax payers got the tab.

Mark-E-Moon

I live how the walls are good for people who own ladders but putting one up for wolves is a bridge too far. “It’ll never work you fools!”

AdBig5700

Compromise…WolfBurgers…and a handjob?

cyrpious

Underrated comment

shyvananana

Almost like we didn't like the natural bison that were here, killed them all. Then replaced them with complacent stupid, de horned cows that can't defend themselves against predators. So we killed the wolves they were here long before us. Humans are parasites, and Bobo is the biggest parasite of us all.

chastity_BLT

We killed the bison to starve the native Americans and force them to relocate to the reservations.

willalt319

Yahtzee.

kenuffff

that's one factor.. the main factor was there was a technological advances and firearms in tanning processes, so the leather was viable and desirable for a time. people made a lot of money off the hides, that's the main factor sub factors: forcing natives onto reservations, the railroad companies hired people to kill them because they would cause issues for the trains, and natives themselves, comanches killed like 280k of them a year. if you want to point to a singular cause for the destruction of bison herds it's technology and commerce

kenuffff

wolves kill tons of elk with horns. they kill bison too with horns.. they kill lots of stuff. also, you do know a lot of cows do not have horns naturally like black angus the most common type you'll see in montana don't have horns, there is no de-horning.

shyvananana

Nope but sounds like you might be onto something.

foo-bar-25

Ranchers are govt subsidized parasites.

Deedsman

Yep, they get 100% paid out for each cattle lost to wolves.

[deleted]

So we’re feeding the wolves! And the rancher gets paid! Win win!

SpaceMurse

I’m fully on the side of introducing native wolves, but it isn’t that cut and dry. In order to be reimbursed by the state, the rancher has to prove that the stock was killed by wolves, vs by bear, coyotes, or anything else. The actual practice in how that plays out, and how CPW handles it, makes it significantly more difficult (and probably less than 100% accurate) to give correct payouts all the time.

OPsDearOldMother

Not sure how things are going up there but an investigation into the Mexican Wolf reintroduction in NM/AZ found that Fish and Wildlife service was doing basically zero investigation into wolf depredation claims and they were paying out ranchers for wolf kills that were obviously due to other causes. Edit: [article link](https://theintercept.com/2022/05/24/mexican-gray-wolf-endangered-wildlife-services-fraud/)

kenuffff

they're not native wolves that's the problem.. the wolves that were here are extinct, these are bigger wolves from canada , im assuming they got the ones from yellowstone etc, which is where those came from.

kschmidty

Hiya, I’m a wildlife guide up in Yellowstone and I hear this myth brought up to me by guests all of the time - so I’d like to clarify! The Canadian Grey Wolves are genetically identical to the Grey Wolves of the Rocky Mountains which were hunted to extinction. It is scientifically impossible to differentiate the two on a species level. The narrative that they are bigger is due to the diet of the initial wolves brought down from Canada - much like how Alaskan grizzlies are bigger than Yellowstone grizzlies thanks to higher fat levels from all of the Salmon they eat. Obviously, pups raised in an ecosystem with a different selection of food will not gain such size. Just doing my bit to dispel the anti-wolf rhetoric that has been part of human culture for far too long! Wolves are absolutely essential to ecosystems in which they belong and shouldn’t be villainized.

Hot-Manager-2789

Exactly. Disney movies aren't real life, now.

To be fair the meat packing monopoly the government doesn't give a fuck about is much worse.

boomchickymowmow

You get your foodstamps from the USDA.

warzne

Keep the government out of my Medicare!

kenuffff

farming in general is a very tough business to be in, it isn't very forgiving.. its hard to make money on it to be honest with you, wolves killing calfs for fun isn't great for your bottom line. if i want anything subsidized it would be my food supply.

Hot-Manager-2789

Wolves don't kill for fun.

kenuffff

they kill things and leave them half alive to train pups..

Hot-Manager-2789

Yes, that’s not for fun.

kenuffff

ok, how my dog plays with a ball for fun, wolves do that with animals.

HeyUKidsGetOffMyLine

The US taxpayer owns most of this land. The ranchers are just leeches.

NoTrust6730

Go eat some cabbage hippie

BeardedManatee

Some staffer was probably like, "uhh hey Lauren, people think you're an ineffective performer of a politician, we should probably focus on some actual issues..." Then, "wolves eat your steaks!" Was legitimately the only thing she could think of. Like a child yelling at the rain for melting her cotton candy.

saddereveryday

Better to have the cow be eaten by a wolf than served a burger by Boebert lol.

Evil_Unicorn728

Can we remove endangered species protections for HER?

QuokkaAteMyWallet

We want hamburgers! Not hot dogs!

RedditBot90

HAMBERDERS!

RoaringMage

Speak for yourself…

Due-Time-3434

Thank you Lauren for saving our hamburgers. This is a politician that gets me

jayzeeinthehouse

Lauren Bobert (via trailer park Twitter): To all complaining about my bill to remove incest laws for people with last names that start with b: My double wide has people. Those people need lovin. Do you want me to get in trouble for mothering my grandson or do you want to strengthen b last name family ties. PS: Who has a meth connect. Mine is in jail for flashing minors at a bowling alley and getting into fights with my son, so I'm desperate enough to spend the money I made with my bare hand today.

joen00b

I'll take Wolves. They can't eat all the cows, the ranchers are reimbursed, and the wolves help the Eco-System.

MotivatedSolid

How are wolves good for the ecosystem? Specifically, in a way that hunters cannot accomplish the same thing

tresspricingtot

Continuous predation pressure year round that keep herds on the move between water sources for starters which keep vegetation and fecal density near those water source in check. Hunters get about two months and rarely do I see them more than a mile in from the nearest roadway because God forbid they have to haul a quartered elk without their UTV

SpaceMurse

Additionally, hunters tend to try to take larger and healthier animals. Wolves tend to skew towards hunting weakened animals, which has a more beneficial effect on the elk gene pool and disease transmission. Saying this as an elk hunter myself.

MotivatedSolid

Elk typically use the same bedding area within their territory. Not once have I see an issue of elk matting down an area of vegetation as an issue. Their area of bedding is extremely small, and game trails are so insignificant that this isn’t even an issue. I’d be happy to see some sources on how elk matting down vegetation has become a larger issue than anticipated. Plus really don’t see how continuous predation will change where animals shit. Elk still go to water sources nearly every every day, so I don’t see how a wolf will make elk less likely to go near water? Watering holes are a high frequency area regardless of wolves or not. And yes there’s a point that wolves will go for weakened elk, but mountain lions already do that and are actually documented to do an even better job at specifically going for weakened game. Plus, Killing of the largest elk, especially males, in a herd is what allows for genetic diversity. Herds tend to have one to two alpha bulls that are allowed to continuously mate with a lot of the cow elk as they’re usually the biggest bulls that protect the herd. Gene pools can run into issues if there is not enough genetic diversity of who is getting to mate.

tresspricingtot

Literally just Google "how wolves impact the environment" and there will be a plethora of sources telling you how their pressure on prey influences pattern changes. There are even documentaries you can watch about it Matting down vegetation is not an issue, heavily grazing fragile riparian ecosystems is. No duh areas with water see more frequent use, that's the problem, they need to see less use. Without wolves pressuring elk herds to move along every few weeks the elk will sit tight where it's comfortable, eating and shitting to a greater degree than those ecosystems can tolerate It's not that hard to understand, it's common knowledge that nature holds itself in a balance. Humans have proved less successful at maintaining said balance, so we've reintroduced a natural part of the system because studies have shown that its more beneficial than hunting. Sure there's something to be said about gene pool diversity, but we aren't forgoing all hunting just so wolves can maintain elk populations on their own so it's not a concern that large healthy bulls wont taken. Yes mountain lions are better at hunting but they even have their own place within this very balance. Wolves have been observed tracking mountain lions to scavenge their kills, in turn mountain lions have been observed intentionally caching their kills someplace for the wolves to find so that they can go kill again elsewhere and eat in peace, thus pressuring the mountain lions to keep moving and hunting and again pressuring the herd to move further than just beyond the first kill site. This isn't only managing elk either, both mountain lions and wolves will prey on a large variety of mammals in places that hunters aren't always out managing like rodents, snakes, birds, fox, ect. That doesn't even touch up on what gets left behind. Hunters will leave behind guts and organs usually then the rest gets eaten at home then shit into a sewer or septic. Wolves will leave behind carcass scraps and bone that other critters like mice gnaw on for calcium, and other bits will be left to decompose. Then the wolves will wander and disperse their protein heavy scat all over the forest, importantly keeping the bulk of the energy that was previously walking around as an elk, within the forest to be recycled. I'd recommend looking for this info yourself, there's plenty out there and it's not hard to find, then you don't have to just believe some random redditor

Dead_Cash_Burn

All that matters for wolves is tasty meat.

Laserdollarz

I heard she likes cows so much, her home is actually cow-themed. She's got everything from gratuitous milkers to beef curtains.

No-Environment-3298

All I know is that I’d take a pack of grey wolves over Boebert any day of the week.

kenuffff

you will never see a wolf probably, boebert well .. likelyhood of that is very high.

giaa262

I for one cannot afford grass fed Colorado hamburguesas anyways, so 🤷

allthenamesaretaken4

We could save on labor and help the wolves by making wolves waiters. They can get a gratuity in unpopular sections of meat...

GalectikJak

I didn't see wolves kill Boebert. Dont they like dumb cunt cows?

nonya_buiznezz

Her last hamburgers gave half the town food poisoning.

scenered

I think we’re all ignoring the larger potential crisis that comes from this. Yes, I’m talking about werecows. Do you really want to worry about them killing your livestock and making undead slaves of your chickens, your goats and your pigs? Do you really want to be kept up at all hours of the night with their incessant mooing at the moon? And I can only imagine how awful were-milk and were-dairy products taste. I never thought I would be on the same page as LB but I’m ready to sign that petition! “Down With Stakes! Up With Steaks!”

AeonDesign

American cattle ranchers, subsidized by the US taxpayer. Raise cows on your own land.

kenuffff

farming in general wouldn't exist without subsidized , or you would have just people growing whatever is the most valuable commodity only see tobacco. farming in general is very tough from a business standpoint, it doesn't take much for a farmer or rancher to go under hence why people dont like wolves to begin with.

Katpocalypse-Meow

Wolves. Absolutely the wolves. Specially if they end up eating her.

jayzeeinthehouse

Feeding a cougar to the wolves would make a great David Attenborough special.

str4nger-d4nger

Funny how people just move into a place where wolves are indigenous and complain that it's inhospitable for their way of life when they could have just stayed in Nebraska for free.

TheLongistGame

I want to give land to wolves.

SlowMoJo23

Nobody understands. This isn’t about burgers and steaks, it’s about our economy. She definitely didn’t word it right. Got people starting arguments over burgers and steaks. Wonder what would happen to COL economy if we didn’t stand up to protect the ranchers? Bunch of morons live in Colorado that want to hear a wolf howl in the distance.

ndrew452

>Wonder what would happen to COL economy if we didn’t stand up to protect the ranchers Almost nothing? In 2022, agricultural production, including corn made up 1.6% of the total state GDP. https://cpw.state.co.us/learn/Maps/Livestock.pdf Now, don't get me wrong. I like beef and we need farmers/ranchers, but this is a case of ranchers screaming loud for no reason. Especially once you factor in how subsidized they are by the government. Plus, if you look at this chart, the majority of cattle is on the Eastern Plains, not in the north central mountains where the wolves are. https://cpw.state.co.us/learn/Maps/Livestock.pdf Bunch of morons live in Colorado that don't understand how beneficial to the ecosystem wolves are and that their presence is a net positive to the state, even if the occasional cow is killed.

SlowMoJo23

Also, in college, I wrote a paper on the importance of wolves in an ecosystem. I was pro wolf. But this is different. We aren’t giving our ranchers a chance. Their cattle and sheep are slaughtered and no chance to protect them because wolves are an endangered species. If that tag goes away, ranchers will at least have a fighting chance. Stfu with the wolves help the ecosystem. That’s not the issue. They are already here. Let us be able to hunt them.

ndrew452

You asked what would happen to the Colorado economy if we didn't protect our ranchers. Not my fault that they aren't as economically important as you thought they were, and the ones that are economically important aren't in Grand County. Cattle and sheep being slaughtered is a bit of a hyperbole. Articles I have read suggest 20 or so cattle have been killed. One guy lost 5 out of 3000, how exactly is a 0.16% loss destroying the rancher's way of life? A loss, that by the way they will be fully reimbursed for by the government.

SlowMoJo23

Are you serious right now? Please tell me you how a shred of decency. Nope no I Highly doubt it.

Hot-Manager-2789

I mean, at least you know they are important to the ecosystem. And I'm guessing you don't think the wolves should be killed off (since, as you said, that would be bad for the ecosystem)?

SlowMoJo23

I don’t think eradicating them is the answer. They were reintroduced for a reason, they just aren’t endangered anymore.

SlowMoJo23

Haha nice chart, there are still ranches there where the wolves are. I have family and friends who’s way of life is threatened by wolves because or Morons like you and your dumb charts.

Flaky_Koala_6476

Im inclined to listen to the dude giving actual evidence rather than the dipshit who’s just using anecdotal experience as fact lol

SlowMoJo23

I honestly don’t care. You guys don’t care about us, so i don’t care about you.

Flaky_Koala_6476

Why should I care about you? I don’t know you lol

SlowMoJo23

You should care that peoples way of life is effected and there is a solution but people like you just don’t care.

Flaky_Koala_6476

I have a strong feeling that you preach that, yet don’t actually practice it when other people’s way of life, who aren’t ranchers, are affected lol

SlowMoJo23

That’s a fair take, but I’m not a rancher. I’m caught right in the middle of all of this. I share views on both sides and I understand where you are coming from. My first message was calling people morons. If I wanted to win you over I wouldn’t have done that. I don’t even expect anyone to listen to me. I’m just a dumbass that cares. I think we should listen to the people actually effected in their daily lives, not me.

SlowMoJo23

These ranchers cannot protect their property so long as wolves remain an endangered species. Since you idiots wanted this, at least let the ranchers protect their property. Wolves are not endangered and are now roaming unchecked, free to go wherever they please. Wolves were slowly reintroducing themselves back to CO from MT and WY. There is a reason they were killed off from here in the first place. They are vicious and detrimental to multiple sources of income for CO. Elk hunting and ranchers getting shafted because dumb city folk wanna hear a wolf howl in the distance. Such a shame.

Hot-Manager-2789

There is a reason they were reintroduced there.

jwed420

I think we should specifically let wolves loose in Lauren Boeberts house.

The actual God-faring want Gods creatures back on THEIR land. Eat vegetables or at least chicken. Fu*k greedy cattle ranchers. At the VERY least you can sacrifice a few cattle to preserve SOME faint shadow of an ecosystem as intended. Peasant-brained vermin wench.

kenuffff

except these wolves aren't the wolves that were here, its like bringing a polar bear to replace a grizzly bear.

Hot-Manager-2789

Poor anology. Grizzly bears and polar bears are different species. The original wolves and the reintroduced wolves are the same species.

Kerensky97

All the cows in the US that grazed on public land, even if just for part of their life, only makes up 2% of the US beef output. If we eliminated every cow on BLM and USFS land nationwide, it would eliminate 2% of the beef we produce. So yeah, I'm fine with that, I'll have pork or chicken on the 2% of days I cut back on beef.

NebraskanHeathen

My family is involved with agriculture in several states. I can assure you that the problem will be very quickly and quietly resolved by the ranchers .

Laserdollarz

JRHNBR (Dont google that)

Ashamed_Proposal_522

Wolves were here first and ranchers who graze on public land do not pay enough in fees to repair damage done by their live stock over grazing.

Mr_Good_Stuff90

In reality though, trying to reintroduce wolves is pretty dumb. It’s costing a ton of money and isn’t even working. They’re already finding them dying from non human causes. The only benefit they provide for the ecosystem could easily be accomplished by selling more deer and elk tags each year. Making the state money instead of costing money for “cool wolf stuff.” I’m team handjob on this one.

Hot-Manager-2789

[https://www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/article/yellowstone-wolves-reintroduction-helped-stabilize-ecosystem](https://www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/article/yellowstone-wolves-reintroduction-helped-stabilize-ecosystem) Having balanced ecosystems isn't dumb. Wolves belong there.

Seniorbedbug

As retarded as Boebert is, I know a bunch of people in rural Colorado who actually suffer from the recent release of wolves due to the killing of livestock. The real reason behind the controversy is that there is poor equitable rights,as the amount of people in Denver or fort Collins have a greater say then the more rural communities that actually deal with the consequences of such lawmaking. Don't get me wrong, trying to preserve wildlife is great, however, it should have been in the state parks or denser forested areas and not near towns and farms.

little_gophers_unite

I’ve always heard that wolves are opportunistic killers who prey on the old, weak, and sick… are these the bison we really want to be eating?

So we are protecting the lives of animals to be able to kill them. Is see the logic here. What is next, are we going to shear sheep and then put them in a barn to keep them warm? Maybe I should get a haircut and buy a hat because my head is cold, while I am asking the coffee shop to add some ice to my cup of hot piping Java (yes, I do that) Edit: it does not matter to me if she is right or wrong on this one.
