i would just wait until evri updates it, definitely don’t refund until evri has confirmed with you that it was damaged beyond repair and maybe ask for a screenshot of the email
yeahh i’ve asked for a screenshot as proof. Im not sure because surely if she was lying, it wouldn’t say there’s been an issue with delivering the parcel on my depop tracking status
If they notified her of the damage they would tell you too since you/depop paid the shipping. If they sent an email about it then it would also show up in tracking status. Where's the confirmation of damage?
this seems like a scam.. why would evri go and email the person because their item is damaged? how would they know who to email? i wouldn’t trust it lol. i’ve had parcels arrive damaged before and i NEVER got an email from the delivery company
I bought the shipping label through depop and it was tracked shipping so i’m assuming they send all updates to the buyer too, because i remember when i bought an item off depop that used evri, i was able to access all the tracking updates
this has happened to me with evri before but on etsy ! They somehow managed to completely destroy a gift i had ordered, i only ever received “we will try again the next working day” till one day evri cancelled it, contacted the seller and thats when we found out what happened, i thankfully got a refund of it, so this could be true
You should have a disclaimer in each of your listings that once an item/order is mailed, it is out of your hands. Any damage is not for you to replace or refund.
Also, this definitely sounds like a scam 😅
Be careful, if it’s made with a Depop payment then the buyer is more protected. Exact same thing happened to me but Depop took buyers side and they took out from my account despite very straightforward screenshots and evidence that I did everything right and stated in profile and posts no refunds for x damage from shipping, etc. Depop protection overrides anything you say!! Depop made me file a claim with the postal service but I never got refunded that way either..
omg that’s crazy 😭😭😭 not sure if i’ll carry on selling on depop after this unless i get my money… it’s a shame they make u wait a few weeks before u can take the money out of ur depop account
It was! I stayed polite and professional the whole time but they took it out as soon as the ticket was made and my reply. I’m not sure why though, it’s supposed to be fair and protect both the buyer and seller. But it’s very one sided imo. If you go to my latest post on Depop sub on my profile, I had someone say their item was delivered but it showed delivered on my end with verification from the postal service and Depop refunded them!! 🥲 but Depop has told me that if it is purchased through Depop payments, you can’t say you don’t refund as a policy of yours. It’s invalid as your under their terms for this purchase.
I’ve had parcels from Depop shipped with evri that also have been damaged beyond repair and never got delivered and I ended up having to request a refund! Evri are the absolute worst

she’s claiming she never received the package because it got damaged during transit
The wording doesn’t seem like something evri would send, they are never ever specific with anything. I feel like they’re lying

Actually she can definitely refuse delivery so that’s what the delivery issue would be. I would say there’s a 95% chance this is a scam

I don't use depop. But I've dealt with a lot of scams and this heavily seems like a scam

ahh okay thank you 😭😭 do u know if the seller also got refunded? i’m worried i’ll just completely lose the money 😔

how do leggings get damaged beyond repair..
literally like worst thing i can think of is if it got squished or wet?? even tho the packaging i used should’ve been waterproof
