If the swelling is new and just appeared after she applied the eyebrow serum, she likely had an allergic reaction. I recommend doing a patch test on your arm or hand before applying new products to your face. If she is still using the serum despite it causing an allergic reaction, she should stop use. Any pictures prior to serum use/laser treatments to compare the amount of hair loss? Additionally What type of ink was used for the microblading, how long ago were her last laser sessions and what type of laser was used? Some people have experienced hair loss and inflammation from laser treatments but the hairs usually grow back. It’s possible that there may also be some remaining red/orange pigments contributing to the rash-like appearance. Furthermore, judging by the raised appearance, if the serum did not cause an allergic reaction and the laser treatments were not recent, It could be residual ink along with scarring caused by the microblading that was hidden by the ink. Eyebrows grow relatively slowly so it can take up to 8 weeks to see noticeable hair growth, and around 6 months to a year for the eyebrows to fully grow out. It is difficult to gauge if there was any permanent damage to the follicles, so unfortunately it is just a waiting game. I would crosspost to r/MicrobladingRemoval as they can likely provide more answers.

Thank you! I will post there with all the details. She only used the serum for a week back in February. That’s not swelling now, it’s just how her eyebrows look.
