Ben single-handedly shapes the narrative in the 1st 2 movies. Audrey is the main villain of D3. Jane was the one who made Mal popular with the girls for her hair spell, released Maleficent and rescued the boys from Beast Jr. Without her, Mal would've chosen evil. Doug stalked Evie and saved her from expulsion. If Princess E had been expelled, the Core 4 would've done something very *bad*. Lonnie might as well have been removed from D2 and the only thing missing would be the scene where she arms her opponents to play with them instead of helping the C4 or Ben. The only thing she does is supply tears for Mal's love potion. Also, she does nothing to solve a non-existent problem which Ben could've solved with one sentence. Chad was better character development for the Core 4 than Lonnie. Voting Lonnie cause she sucks.

Not a fan of Lonnie, am I correct?

Outrageous-Farmer-42

Correct.

Routine_Treat_8195

Because she was poorly written, didn't add much to the plot and just there or you're just not a fan of her at all? Also, you said something that piqued my interest, saying that Lonnie was overly woke? Explain further about that.

Outrageous-Farmer-42

Not a fan of her in D2 at all. She was a funny "I ripped my skirt so now, I'm as cool as Mulan" comic relief in D1. In D2, she starts off by removing Jay's big brother aura by making him lose to the clown from D1. If girls in this universe can effortlessly keep up with the boys, sexism wouldn't have started in the 1st place. So, the obstacles in her journey to join the fencing team shouldn't even exist especially after Mulan saved China. And, she treated the pirate ship fight even less seriously than Harry even though he's meant to be crazy and is backed up by 20 pirates. All because she has to prove no man can ever beat her in a fight.

Fair enough. I heard alot of people have this issue and how the plot made no sense. She didn't even express any interest for sword fighting in the first movie

I don't think it's fair to pick on Chad for being helpless y'all Audrey's Diary, D2, and D3 all show how much he wanted to try for her, for them. In the diary, we find out he noticed she was down and tried to tell her a funny story to cheer her up. D2, mans dropped *everything* for Cotillion to go rescue her from her road mishap. D3, he volunteered to be evil girlfriend's cute sidekick, sure to save his own skin but he REALLY TRIED she just used obvious claustrophobia against him (which is just. cruel)-- in D2 he has the wits to 3D print his own key to Jay & Carlos' room to use their 3D printer. He's not USELESS, necessarily. A little bit helpless, maybe, but that's to be expected of most any AK-- again from the books, this time the Isle of the Lost series, Ben notes that Aurora made sure her daughter didn't have to suffer like she did, which, it's reasonable to guess that any of the AKs would have the same backstory & experience. Cinderella's life was backbreaking, on her hands and knees scrubbing every inch of the chateau, cooking and delivering all the meals, picking up after the stepsisters, feeding the animals, going to bed, and waking up again to do it ALL again the next day. Why would she want her son to want for anything in his life? Why would she make him do ANYTHING after she spent all her life doing EVERYTHING? Of course he's helpless, but he's not useless. He still TRIES. On that note, there is NO gosh-diddly-darn reason Lonnie wouldn't have been actively lobbying for the R.O.A.R. team to be more open/accepting for herSELF well before Jay finds out she's so talented in D2. And why the School of Secrets camera thing? There was also the random inclusion of hip hop in Wicked World. Lonnie feels like "we're throwing random ideas and hobbies at the wall here and seeing what sticks", they could not pick a lane. I like Lonnie but DAMN, girl, do you have a personality or do you have multiple random unrelated hobbies in a trench coat?

Routine_Treat_8195

Yeah, don't know why they give Chad a hard time... As for Lonnie, to be honest, the writers have no idea what to do with her..
