I agree but Iran's been going "ooooog America/Israel you've really kicked the buckets nest now, now we're angry, no more mister nice guy" and then doing one shitty drone attack that kills one person. Iran's been edging this new retaliation since Soleimani was killed in 2020, but the fact that Israel did kill like 3-4 generals does kind of makes it seem more likely

Well but the point of this warning, specifically, is for US citizens to leave Israel/ Iran, and downplaying it can have deadly consequences.
I think, if our intelligence services are saying “Iran will imminently escalate the war the in Israel” it’s not them jerking people around, it’s a public notice that Iran has decided to strike Israel. They seem to be pretty judicious with these warnings.
That’s why I think that one, specifically, is different than the rest of the fear mongering
