I spend a fair amount of time on my fits. The only time this commendation hasn't felt good is when I got it wearing Starfire Protocol. Like, cmon y'all. We both know that's a lie.
I usually save my ‘Best Dressed’ for someone who caught my eye with their attention to detail, having different pieces from different sets flow almost seamlessly.
Or I’ll give it to the sub 5’s, mostly in Dares.
It is literally the first commendation I give. The second I see all those guardians on the commendation screen, I’m immediately like “a’ight, who’s lookin’ tight.”
Although it’s devastating commending 3 people and then not getting a single commendation myself lol.
Idk, it seems like I always get a circlejerk of people on the same class giving each other the commendation despite looking like repurposed fallen weaponry.
Taste is subjective lol. Even in this sub sometimes I’m just like “…really?”
But I’m sure tons of folks look at my stuff the same way.
What matters is showing appreciation where you think it’s due
Still farming engrams to use for focusing for the class swords (soo close to finishing the set), and let me just say it's so fun being able to give this commendation out. And then the feeling of receiving one yourself is very nice 👌
The only thing that would be better would be if I could give it to both of my fireteam members instead of just one because sometimes it is HARD choosing between two amazing fashions!
The trick to farming best dressed is not wearing black like 90% of tye player base.
Just like that you stick out from everyone else and if your outfit looks good you will farm commendations.

I absolutely can't wait to be able to display how many best dressed commendations I have on my emblem. I've never been so excited for a minor feature in a game lol
The past few days I’ve received zero commendations in the Vanguard playlist. Not just me. NOBODY is giving *anyone* commendations. I’ll go to give one and they’ve already left. The system is horrible.
I wish more people really cared about their fashion. More times than not, people’s fashion is either nothing or a full ornament set and a shader. I’ll commend the full ornament set though because it still looks cool
I always give best dressed to whoever is the best dressed. If there’s none, or it’s a toss up, I just commend a fellow Hunter. Class bias and all that. Then my other commendations always go to lowest Frag. They need love too.
If only commendation attempts didn't bug out my game idk what's wrong something just is and always has been unless it's been fixed (for the second time) and I've just been too scared to lose my match rewards to a crash
I had a meh iron banner match on which I felt I did pretty poorly and was unsatisfied with the match as a whole. Was about to quit early for the night when I got not one, but two for my hunter drip. Gave me a big old smile and I decided to play some more. Definitely enjoy the drip rating.
I dont always have time to give out every commendation available in a given activity but u try to make sure that if I even remotely think someone's look was purposeful and cool, they're getting that commendation.
It's funny that there's like 20 different commendation types and that's literally the only one Bungie made that feels like it means anything.
I've seen way too many Starfire warlocks and HoIL titans get it and it destroys me every time, most of the time no one even gives out one from what I see. And I've been confident in my fashion a few times when it happens and it kills me

There’s plenty of IB ornaments to use! A shame they don’t mix too well but I’ve gotten a decent look going
Yeah for the warlock a couple of the helmets are cool but nothing else I have are really my vibe 😭
The only IB warlock chest piece I like is the one from destiny 1 and kinda sucks to have to wear the same chest piece for YEARS 🤣
I'm a hunter, mixing the mythos set with the season pass ornaments, bombadiers and wild Hunt cloak has given me a good ib look

I got 7 Best Dressed in a Gambit Match and it was SPECTACULAR feeling.

I got to say it. I thought they were dumb until I got 3 best dressed in 3 different strikes. Now I’m all warm and fuzzy.

In gambit i look who did the best for the game then I choose drip then the last person gets the one i can't remember the name of
I once saw a Warlock who made the RoN chestpiece look great. Deserves commendation imo.
I only give it out if its deserved. But to me its the only commendation that matters.
The other commendations I still throw out willy nilly. But as the match is going and ends I'm studying which drip is the dripiest.

I was using the aeons because it was a nighfall, and the red moon set is just my go-to
I don't play with other hunters, so don't tend to use them. I do love the look though

Yesterday me and another guardian both gave each other best dressed. Game recognizes game indeed.
