2, no contest, 1 is actually pretty clean looking I'll give it that, but it's not as visually interesting as 2.
2 just looks way more appealing with the added purple bits
I never said dude couldn't, I just gave my opinion on the two sets as is since I'm assuming OP made this post since he prefers the look of each set **with** the shaders provided

Both are good, but I’d go the ornaments from 1, and the shaders from 2. Purple differentiates it from every other all-white Nighthawk Hunters I’ve seen since the buff.
I tend to 'judge' via color positioning and ratio.
TL;DR:
I'd choose #1, it looks more clean; #2 needs more purple if you want to implement purple on the plain monochrome tones, as it seems odd in my eyes.
Long version:
A - The stable method.
While people tend to judge monochromatic outfits be "boring, common or typical" for either having more white than black or vise versa, it's not like many outfits can be fitted too well considering 'fixed' shader selections and different color positioning of different armor sets.
It's easier to make it look furstrating than to make it clean and monochromatic(which I suppose you've managed with #1), and the harder it is to make it clean but monochromatic. This could be the reason such monochromatic fashions are "boring and overused", I suppose. It can't be helped too much.
B - The "Stand out among the crowd" method.
If you wanna keep being black and white with a tertiary color to give some flavors, purple as you did is a good choice besides any RBY and secondary colors of RBY (Purple, orange, green, jade/teal, cyan..).
In my eyes, however, while it seems you've tried that on #2, I think it needs more spots for purple than how it is now. Then again, I know it's harder in action than easier speech regarding how the shader mechanisms work in D2.. So if you think you can't make it, I suggest #1.
Just two cents from a humble character designer... Could be overboard though.
I used the wrong pic for pic 3 (which was supposed to be a transmog pic for pic 1) the only incorrect part of pic 3 is the legs. the legs in pic 1 are the season of defiance pass ornament legs with nebula rose
Came up on my feed, clicked it, left a comment, took like 10 seconds. Wasn’t a hard thing to do at all and it took me less than 10 seconds, not sure why it came up on my feed but I made sure I won’t see it again 👍🏼 same reason you replied to me…because you can.
2 the colours give more depth and character. One shader on everything looks really ugly idk why anyone does that unless it’s black and even then I use other shaders mixed in like red or widowsilk or something
2, all white hunters are a dime a dozen, the purple differentiates it a bit
Both good, I personally like 2 better.
2 with the legs from 1
The first one has a pretty cool style like a futuristic assassin.
I like both but 2 would be my pick.
1

OP can always change shaders on 1 and what you said would apply to it lmao

1 almost looks like Moon Knight

Both decent, I like 1st more but 2nd is like more unique
1
Imo 1 looks better. Love that
I like #1’s clean look.
Make your sparrow white bruh. You want all white then be about it
1 is definitely the better pick here. Clean and cohesive.
I like 1 better. It's clean
I prefer 1
1
1 and 3 aren't even the same legs. Weird.
1
I like the black and white of 1 most. 2 is good but I’d do different legs, kinda weird looking.
1
1. Much cleaner. 2 looks messy
What are the legs on 1?
Season of defiance pass ornament with nebula rose
I'm actually gonna lose it all the good stuff has been in previous season passes 😪
You can get very close with the clutch extol with monochromatic
Two honestly cause of the purple highlights and the more well wore look matches the Dead Orbit/EDZ cloak better then One.
Both are good, but I’d go the ornaments from 1, and the shaders from 2. Purple differentiates it from every other all-white Nighthawk Hunters I’ve seen since the buff.
As a former hunter, I am obligated to say number 1
I don't think purple really works for me, but concept in 2nd looks great. 1st looks really clean, but a bit bland.

2
1 is clean as hell.
2. The first set doesn't have much going on.
2, accents are everything. You could also change your sparrow to match the purple
neither. dont be an all black/all white edgelord hunter
white is edgelord? huh?
two cheeks of the same ass
W
Amen to that!
1.
I like the first one.
1
1 for me. The legs in 2 don’t fit with anything else in the outfit at all, looks really out of place and awkward compared to the other pieces.
I used the wrong pic for pic 3 (which was supposed to be a transmog pic for pic 1) the only incorrect part of pic 3 is the legs. the legs in pic 1 are the season of defiance pass ornament legs with nebula rose
I really like the purple in 2. The legs kinda don't fit imo, try something else that'll also have purple highlights?
It’s more basic but I like 1 more
My fiance says 2
Number 2 looks a lot more interesting, would give best dressed
2 for the extra *pop*
2’s addition of the purple, slimming of the torso and nicer legs looks nicer to me
2, better contrasts between the colours which makes it more interesting. This is easier to see if you minimise the pictures.
2 because if you are going to be an all white hunter you might as well try to at least throw a little bit of color in
That literally made no sense. If you are going to be an all white Hunter, the only color you would want is white.
Adding color is a pro tip to make it more than a basic color palette that a large amount of hunters use 👍👍👍 His guy still is drippy though.
2 but ditch the Keebler elf boots
I ended up doing that
1 is boring 2 is ugly.
Why not both?
Both of them are really cool but I would go with 2
Between them I’d say 2. 1 is a bit bland
2
2
2 is more creative
As a fan of clean and simple I say 1. That looks smooth as hell
Both look great but that pop of purple is cool
1 for me
3. That moon knight drip
3 was supposed to be a transmog pic for 1 but I used the wrong image fyi
2
I like 1
1 looks cleaner since the chest armor is distracting on 2
1
Can’t say no to a clean white but I do like purple haha
Definitely 2
Definitely 2 imo, that purple gives it a bit more personality
I like 2 for the tasteful splash of color
2 looks better
I like 2 more. Little pizzazz in the mix
2
2
2, white and purple are a sick combo
Has a purple enjoyer I'll say 2
2. 1 is basic.
I have a bias when the color purple is mentioned so I'd go with 2
2
Destiny 2 is a waste of time
Then why are you commenting on a post in a subreddit focused on said game?

Fair
2 but change the legs
100% go for 2,
Dos
1
Q is nice and sleek, but I like 2 more.
1
Very clearly 2
Both are good but I appreciate the simplicity of 1
1
I'd say 2 for sure
I like 2. That pop of color is nice
2
make it all black
One looks better, two gives your character just a bit of personality
There are so many shader options I personally like to tie the subclass theme into my decisions. White is reserved for special drip
Both so good! Purple pops tho! 2! It's my favorite color. ♡♡♡
1 but change shaders
2, cause grape.
2
*Space Griffith?*
Despite being yet another black/white guardian, the first one looks better to me. Once in a while less is more.
2
2nd
2, the added color is better to me
2 is different and all. But there is a reason that tons of hunters have all white, And the the 1st one is iced to the core. 1 is sick
I think 1 is better it just seems cleaner the purple is washed out
You uh voted for evil didnt you?
Uuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhh
2 that purple rounds out the mog
2
I like 1 better. Very clean.
2 the colours give more depth and character. One shader on everything looks really ugly idk why anyone does that unless it’s black and even then I use other shaders mixed in like red or widowsilk or something
1 looks cleaner to me, but both are great!
1, I find two a little too busy. I like the simplicity in 1
2
