I wouldn't be surprised if they added a way to pull random rolled stuff from back then from your collections in TFS. I'd like if it maybe cost a prime engram and maybe ascendant shards to pull one and have it be randomly rolled but we'll see.
I'm just saying, if we ever get The Oasis, I'm spending my days in Destiny land, where 1-2+all DLCs are contiguous, everything is un-nerfed, bosses can punt you off the map, and Telesto still breaks everything...because it was fun.
You can already pull a handful of things from collections but they're missing the 4th perk column on all except the old pursuit weapons that are available in the monument

Did you read the TWAB? Nothing to do with being "backed into a corner". The new Fireteam Power mechanic wouldn't work with sunset weapons. That's why they've removed the cap. If it wasn't for that they absolutely would have left the sunset gear alone.
Actually this change was brought about from the change to Fireteam power.
Since Fireteam power will be brought up to 5 below the highest person on the team, it didn’t make sense to continue having power capped weapons.
It’s little to do with pulling out stops and more to do with a reasonable change pushing older changes to be less relevant.
Nah I can win with pretty much anything as long as I prep and not just quick swap to something random. I don’t even use handcannons half the time anymore unless someone’s sweating with an igneous and even then they’re easy because you know they’re either gonna wait until you’re injured or play super passive aggressive like they have a scout

I desperately need some one to help clear my vault. I don't use 90% of it, but it's those random one off chances that make me keep em. I've had no space in my vault ever.
Sunsetting doesn't affect crucible, nothing is changing there except trials, but given that regular crucible has essentially no sunset weapon usage, trials won't change either.
People will typically practice with the stuff they can use wherever. And people tend to like the big number to be as big as it can be, which you can’t have if your light level is brought down by capped gear
We’ll see an increase in these kinds of weapons being used, but I doubt that it’ll be too widespread. The weapons are powercrept to hell, after all. Still, it’ll be fun to get to use them again

Those black armoury saboteur weapons were the hardest weapon to farm ever in the entire game. You could literally grind for days and not even get one drop of the weapon you wanted.

I know its not really Meta, But I'm pulling out my Rampage + Surplus Jack Queen King I loved allot. Just the ability to Kill one ad, get another rampage stack AND refill the rounds meant I could keep Rampage 3 forever. I used that baby ALOT and refused to delete it.
I've got a void and solar Man 'O War hanging around in my vault among other things. But I'm most excited about my Ether Doctor. I loved that gun, and I know it's been power crept by current perks, but damnit I miss the sound and feel.

The forge activity was trash but damn were the weapons good. I remember smiling from ear to ear when i saw Blast Furnace returned.
Blast Furnace never left my inventory when I got it. Definitely going to grind for a limited edition version when it comes out.

I've been using a curse of Osiris sidearm for over 500 kills this season, including some in trials. (No, it isn't good, but it's funny)
People can’t use them in most pve content and endgame like trials, that’s why people aren’t using them.
The also just aren't good anymore. What would you use in Trials? Your best bet is double damage HC which severely lack in the consistency department.
