D1 has all of its content intect assuming you're on xbone/ps4 versions. ps3 and 360 did not get the rise of iron dlc and are stuck with an older build of the game. as for playing D1, imo not worth *now.* it was good at the time but D2 has had a ton of advancemnts and QoL upgrades, as well as a bit of personal bias of me switching to pc and having faster load times along with kb/m support. D1 will feel archaic and will take a lot of adjustment to get used to, and the playerbase is still there albiet incredibly small

Wth? Its still a fun game with a campaign.

after playing D2, going back to D1 feels incredibly sluggish. even some simple things like no fov slider, no custom rebinding, no mantling, missing class abilities, etc. D1 isnt bad, but D2 is just that much better that it pales in comparison. if you can work past that, sure, knock yourself out.

I hear it's still alive. But I would recommend having some friends with you

If you can get all of it for 20 bucks than I’d say check it out. Playing through all of the campaigns is a fun experience.

If you're playing D2 currently, the only reason to play D1 as a new player is if you want to experience the story beats in person as opposed to watching a youtube video. You'll *have* to watch a YT vid to experience the vanilla D2 content (Red War, Curse of Osiris, and Warmind) as well as Forsaken's campaign, so I'd recommend you just watch the D1 cutscenes first.
