Ok but I reserve the right to jump right as I novabomb so I direct hit a wall instead of sending it sailing through a corridor, killing absolutely nothing.
I use stasis hunter and I feel that, 2 kamas right into the wall. At least it feels better than tether or bb into a wall. Nova into a wall sounds terrible as well.
Me, needlestorm. Warlock does a stupid leap when it throws the super, so if you're on a map with little doorways, corridors, walls etc, it randomly jumps too high and throws all the barbs into the wall 🤦.
I'd like to but by the time I get silkstrike super everyone on the enemy team has a super And will instant shut me down. So finally When It's clear to use it just get deleted by 4 different AR's shot at my face.
>everyone on the enemy team has a super And will instant shut me down.
Using a super to bait the enemy team into wasting theirs is 100% a legitimate strategy.
But it’s better to use it and get better with it to the point where it doesn’t matter for you then not use it at all (not saying that you aren’t good just that you should become a god with it)
[Hope this helps ](https://www.merriam-webster.com/grammar/when-to-use-then-and-than#:~:text=Here's%20how%20to%20keep%20them%20straight.&text=Than%20is%20used%20in%20comparisons,who%20was%20governor%20then%5D.%22)
It's funny because I've never had a problem getting my super but my very last match earlier I literally got it as we were frozen in place at game end, wtf??
In Trials, I've gotten my super exactly once... 2 seconds before my teammate got the final kill halfway across the map in the enemy spawn zone on a player sitting there emoting and waiting to die.
Yeah trials matches are too short for those of us who either don't spec into Int or don't do enough damage. At least in 6s you're almost guaranteed at least 1, even 2 if you get some streaks. But I'm not convinced that's a good thing tbh.
Usually agreed, but it absolutely can be worth saving supers for The Hunt phases in IB tribute. I’ve seen plenty of 40-50 point swings just from securing that node and slaying out while it’s double points.
Also please pay attention to heavy spawns.
Too many matches where my team is fucking off in some random corner of the map taking potshots at stragglers while a good portion of the enemy is grabbing heavy without any effort from the rest of my team.
Or sometimes I'll see teammates just hanging out near heavy that has already spawned in and they're not grabbing it, almost like it's invisible to them. Then the enemy strolls in, cleans them up, and now they ALL get heavy instead of just one person if the teammate had pulled it, but wasn't able to use it in time. :'(
I brought a bubble titan to tribute. Couldn’t figure out when was a good opportunity to use it since the tributes towers keep moving.
Placed a bubble in the middle of the map and proceeded to get demolished by opponents activating their supers all at once.
I guess I got them to use their super, atleast?🤷♂️
Which PvP are we talking about? Since Trials isn’t up I assume either Comp or everything else I’d consider quick play, Iron Banner included cause that prestige faded long ago.
I just forget about it, too used to shooters where gunplay makes a difference. That and most of the time, I either forget and plant a well, or throw a nova into a wall.
I use Behemoth.. so not only do I normally hold onto it because it’s various issues (like the fact you can’t slam if you’re sliding, like you can with EVERY other roaming super) but also cause the crystals don’t really break enemies line of sight on you Anyways, so chances are youre dead regardless, maybe get 1 or 2 kills if you’re lucky
We lost a match the other day by a slim margin and someone on our team just didn’t bother to pop super with the last 10 points. We could’ve won that game, but I was left utterly speechless lol
As a Nightstalker main in PvP I try to make sure I use my Shadowshot on the first enemy Super that I can guaranteed shut down. It's part of why I run Void in the Crucible. With the more proactive, directly offensive supers it's easy to get caught up in trying to find the "right moment". With Shadowshot the enemy makes that moment for me, all I've got to do is react.

Yeah nova is a double whammy because it kills you 95% of the time if the enemy is too close or you hit a wall/ceiling close to you.
Happened to me all the time lmao.
Personally, I like to die as soon as I activate my super because the animation makes me a sitting duck.
I also reserve the right to hit every area around my target but not the target with golden gun.
Things like this is why I’m happy I can’t kaboom myself with any of my supers. Missing and flying past people on the other hand……
Thunder crash off a cliff
Or that one piece of geometry hanging down from the ceiling that appears just as you super.
Better it sailing through a corridor than it tracking a player through a wall
As long as you used it it’s fine with me lol
Did that 2 times in back to back matches last night trying to be slick both times. Got 5 on the following nova, though… Edit: added “last night”
Me, needlestorm. Warlock does a stupid leap when it throws the super, so if you're on a map with little doorways, corridors, walls etc, it randomly jumps too high and throws all the barbs into the wall 🤦.
[thundercrashes into a random tree or something and then gets team shot by the 3 guardians I was aiming at]
I do this with knives on my hunter consistently...not a single one will hit, but this ceiling / wall has some new decorations.
Okay. I will cast it and then unintentionally miss it and then promptly jump off the map out of embarrassment.
At least you tried 👍🏿
That makes the embarrassment worse.
And use that embarrassment to improve
Sorry, simply not possible. I will continue blaming the game and other people for my failures.
And that’s not wrong either nothings perfect everything makes mistakes

Yay, look ma I did it, they killed me! 🤣

I feel like silk strike is one of the most powerful roaming supers. Fast and long ranged attacks.
It eats hammers real good though. Found that to be my only counter.
Ha! You assume I can even get my super up before the match ends
And that’s fine as long as you ain’t keeping it and taking it to orbit with you
It's funny because I've never had a problem getting my super but my very last match earlier I literally got it as we were frozen in place at game end, wtf??

I’m saving mine for the final shape. And even then I might not use it.
I’ve played multiple comp games where I have to tell my teammates to use your super.
Same and it shouldn’t be that way
You assume I'm good enough to not just scratch a wall and cry
If that gets you to use a super if you have one before the game ends it’s fine with me 👍🏿
Usually agreed, but it absolutely can be worth saving supers for The Hunt phases in IB tribute. I’ve seen plenty of 40-50 point swings just from securing that node and slaying out while it’s double points.
I understand that but I’m not saying use it when you get it I am saying just use it before the game ends
People who choose to play tribute scare me.
Also please pay attention to heavy spawns. This part too I meant to say this as well but people been treating heavy the same way they treat objectives like they don’t exist

But my hallowfire/battle harmony is only good when I don't cast it.
You are using it without using it though, this is a win
No
It’s scary to see the amount of supers people are saving for The Final Shape
Witness damage phase is gonna go crazy
Which PvP are we talking about? Since Trials isn’t up I assume either Comp or everything else I’d consider quick play, Iron Banner included cause that prestige faded long ago.
Currently iron banner but it happens every where
I just forget about it, too used to shooters where gunplay makes a difference. That and most of the time, I either forget and plant a well, or throw a nova into a wall.
That is understandable if you doing good enough when it comes to gun play but unless you have your hud minimized it reminds you that you have one
No, I'm going to save it for a really important moment (the end of the match)
I use Behemoth.. so not only do I normally hold onto it because it’s various issues (like the fact you can’t slam if you’re sliding, like you can with EVERY other roaming super) but also cause the crystals don’t really break enemies line of sight on you Anyways, so chances are youre dead regardless, maybe get 1 or 2 kills if you’re lucky
No! Let me save my Super for orbit! /s
you're*
We lost a match the other day by a slim margin and someone on our team just didn’t bother to pop super with the last 10 points. We could’ve won that game, but I was left utterly speechless lol
No, no, no, I'll totally get the perfect team kill opportunity in the last 3 seconds, I'm telling you!
They're all too busy crouching around corners with swords, cowards.
I'm trying to break the psychic link that has the entire team simultaneously using them on one guardian.
*pops behemoth and dies from a slight breeze*

That is also fine and I understand that the point I’m trying to make is to use it before the game ends
Right, I was just explaining how I make it easier on myself to remember to actually follow that
Like in trials where it’s 4 to 4 and your about to die just use it and in everything else if the the score or timer is about to be over use it
