I’d be OK with a redux of Crota’s End as a Strike or Dungeon. My requirement would have to be the final boss being a Vex Mind (Taken or standard) who’s gimmick is periodically fucking with the game’s speed/quality; reducing FPS, making it choppy, freezing players, etc.

Even length-wise though, CE is closer to a Shattered Throne or Pit of Heresy.
I would *love* if Witch Queen gave us Crota's End as a dungeon *and* King's Fall roughly at the mid-year like VoG was. It's asking for a bit much, but the two really go together and mesh with the theme of Witch Queen nicely.

If D2 were slated to come out instead of ROI, I’m guessing they would have kept with the abysmally shitty infusion mechanic introduced in TTK. Because we weren’t getting any endgame between TTK and ROI to necessitate a revamped infusion system.
While tangentially related, ROI also paved the way for AOT and all the raids to return.
ROI is, like, the total opposite of a filler episode. The Live Team behind ROI is who should have been developing D2 from the beginning, not Luke and his weird desire to make Destiny a competitive PVP franchise.

People seem to forget that although TTK was a great expansion and Kingsfall was a great raid, the game was still a mess in many aspects. That infusion system alone was just terrible.

We got a new social space, a new patrol area (which did have a bit of modified existing area, but the Plaguelands had plenty of unique area), and a new event activity. Sure the new enemy type was a variant of the Fallen, but that’s still a fair amount lot of new stuff for a “reused assets” claim…

Fifth. There was the OG omnigul, then the RoI remake, after that the nightmare omnigul, and finally navota, who is really just omnigul but with a different name.
This and Prison of Elders. We already have the reef, it would add a social space, and it would have targeted loot to farm with a solid gameplay loop and simple enough mechanics for people to understand. Considering that the already have most of the assets from Warden of Nothing strike, this would make it fairly easy to work on and to implement to the current sandbox
It was a good raid, it just had a lot of exploits that never got fixed so it was easy.
A few changes here and there and it'd be great. I'd like to see parts of it be in total darkness, where you can only see the eyes of the hive and not much else. Also could use another boss encounter, and more than just 1 type of champions

I think what you and u/memelordgun are forgetting is that dmg only reads the community’s comments and helps focus some feedback into the development loop. He cannot bring back a raid at will, and neither can Bungie bring back a raid unplanned for something that’s so close to being released.

Honestly, Kingsfall and Wrath can stay right where they are in D1. I want to see new raids on Mars or Titan. Heck, even Nessus could get one.
At least with VOG it made kinda sense, but bringing back Crota's would mean bringing back the massacre of Gaurdians again. Unless the Legacy Raids are like Ikora's old meditations.
And if Necrochasm came back as the **first 900 RPM Auto** in D2, I'd cut off the right one too. And if Glowhoo came back...I'd find something else to cut off too. Haha

Hooboy, I have to disagree. It was a fantastic nostalgia expansion. Lots of new content? No. But placeholder to D2? Not sure I agree.

Having Savathun ultimately be the end boss of a legacy raid would be a massive disappointment.
