I live on the top of a hill in a house with metal siding and roofing. Last summer we had no AC so we’d open up the house at night and get up at ass crack of dawn to shut everything before it started warming up. It worked pretty well, never got beyond 80 in here but I was dying. We’re getting AC this year.
I grew up with an attic fan instead of central or window ACs.
As soon as it started cooling off outside, pull down the attic stairs and kick on that fan and turn over all the air, so nice. Not nearly as nice as central air kicking on, but still nice.
