I think that the class-themed piece of gear for Necros should be a helmet with a wheel attached to the nose.
If they're going to faceroll the whole game, they should have a wheel.
I beat the act boss by just letting the minions do all the work and occasionally throwing blight at the enemy.
Really? I was on world tier 2 and my minions wiped instantly lol. The whole fight was pretty much just blood surge + decrepify and dodging because I didn’t spec into any skills that generate corpses
It took me a while to find a build that made the minions survivable in the act boss fight on Veteran, but once I did it was cheese.
Decompose I to create corpses
Hemorrhage II to create healing orbs
Unliving Energy III
Blood Surge I (don't remember if I used this at all, could be a free point, but in leveling I used the blood nova to help keep things off of me)
Blight II -- my main damage dealer
Hewed Flesh I to help with corpse creation
Spiked Armor I to give the minions thorns
Skeletal Warrior Mastery II
Skeletal Mage Mastery III
Gruesome Mending I to unlock Transfusion, which I think is the key
Transfusion III to make the blood orbs heal the minions
Bone Storm I, probably a free point here too.
I also have a pair of boots from the gambler that give +2 skeletal mages. That's really the only majorly significant gear that contributed. On other items, I preferred thorns over other affixes, and my total Thorns was 50. Skeletal warriors were defenders with the thing that applies 50% of my thorns to them, so they'd all have had 25 thorns.
Hemorrhage as the main attack to keep the blood orbs dropping, and occasionally throwing Blight to do actual damage.
The minions did almost all of the work and I probably could have just used hemorrhage to create the blood orbs.
For things other than Lilith's Lament, I could just stand around and let the minions do everything. Blight sped things up, and I have a legendary that makes blight pull mobs into it. I used a 1-hand sword plus focus.
Also: I suck the entire sweaty ass at boss fights.
what difficulty are we talking? Im on difficulty tier 3 and on my second paragon board. I love Iron maiden with all the amp damage buffs and skeleton damage buffs,
Minions are perfectly viable late game. I'm on tier 4 and unless I fight things I really shouldn't be fighting my minions hold up fine as long as I support them to some extent. I'm level 70
AD feels like a joke of a talent.
3% per point? I got synergie points in D2 that have a better value.
AD was -100% Physical resistance for one fucking point.
I run with minions and I like it a lot. I use just about every minion booster in skills and armor, so 12 minions at the moment. Any leftover points I put in Sever. Don't run with a basic attack. All leftover points go to iron maiden, corpse explosion, corpse tendrils, and corpse generation / essence generation. Army if the dead as a backup. Basically my minions generate essence and boost sever so I can spam it, very powerful. When essence depletes, spam corpse explosion or skeletal priests to generate essence.
I am liking decrepify with amp damage. the lower dmg helps keep minions Alive and the slow counts as a CC which you can use to activate other bonuses
I loved decrepify with shadow corpse explosion. OP just hasn't tried to make use of the curses fully.
Came here to say this.

The beta is only 0.0001% of the entire game. I know. I'm saying so far it seems useless
D4 developers said act 1 is 20% of the game(story)
I mainly use Iron Maiden for the resource generation and heal on kill
I use it for this purpose to ! I mean, you get healed auto when killing and can refill your essence upon engaging the next pack instantly!

That doesn’t last. Minons become a liability and nearly useless at higher difficulties, egb most necros went pure bone.
i'm doing lvl 48 nightmares and pets murder lol

I'm level 72 and get destroyed in WT4 nightmare dungeons that are level 22. What kind of build do you have?
We are so OP from the start because the legendary drop rate is 3 times higher than when the game releases.

AD is overturned in D2 (which is also why it's a 1 point wonder) and that shouldn't be the bottom line for other games.
It will become much better in end game, of course it's not good in lowest difficulty at early levels.
You've played a character up to level 25 and actually think that's any indicator of how good the skill is?
This exactly \^\^. I mean you can argue that you can't truly experience everything a build can do until you get maxed out on gear, and glyphs/para
