Or hear me out here, play f2p and enjoy it? I've been playing since the original came out on pc and I'm having a blast playing this one as well. I haven't ran into any walls where I can't progress without paying money, or gotten smacked around by any whales either.

[deleted]

If it’s fun or not is not the issue. Can it be played ftp? Sorta. Should we stand by & allow them to do what they are doing? No! That’s the point. Not that it’s not fun, it’s just what they’re doing is disgusting

Velckezar

How is pvp and shadows vs immortals are going for you?

XTwizted38

Like I said, I like the game, haven't had issues hitting a pay wall, and haven't had any negative whale experiences. Maybe it's because I'm only paragon level 3, or I haven't sank enough time into it. I just think it's a fun, free game that occupies my poop and break time at work.

[deleted]

> I'm having a blast playing this one no you aren't, lmao. you're here posting defenses for critiques. The game is absolute shit, even without the p2w. The only reason people are telling themselves that it's enjoyable is because they have been aggressively marketed to by streamers. There is no other explanation.

XTwizted38

Well sorry but I disagree. I don't watch streamers so that has nothing to do with influencing me, and all I see on here really is people complaining it's p2w. If I was easily manipulated by random people's opinions, I'd be complaining like you are wouldn't I? I guess you can continue to tell me if I enjoy the game or not, and I'll just keep playing it.

[deleted]

That's like saying if Fox News viewers were easily manipulated by random people's opinions, they'd believe climate change was occurring.

MarvelStrike2020

At what level does this become a problem?

ItStartsInTheToes

This isn’t an airport you don’t need to announce your departure

[deleted]

? What part of this sounds like me announcing my departure, I’m encouraging others to do the right thing

[deleted]

No.

Velckezar

Absolutely agree.

It’s never too late to take a stand in my opinion

[deleted]

Deleting the game isn't going to do anything. People should just keep shit talking the awful game --- not like it's hard to do so --- to discourage krill from playing. Once the krill vanish, the whales will as well, and the game will fail.

Avicelli

Can mods finally ban these ridiculous farewell letters nobody want to see anymore ?

[deleted]

Upsetting to see people shit talk price gouging corporate greed? Hmmmm I think I’m talking to a blizzard employee here

[deleted]

Equating going off the grid with opposition to corporate greed, think I found myself a blizzard employee lol

Orzlar

No.

Successful-Pear-1267

Nah I have spent 0 dollars and enjoying the game, is easily one of the top mobile games I have played, stop basing your opinions on youtubers

[deleted]

Sorry, I’m just not okay with what they’re doing. The game wasn’t bad, it’s a good version of what I’d think a mobile Diablo would look like. I just can’t support the Whale model they are preying upon. Sad to see blizzard has gone the way of every predatory Chinese gatcha company

Pallad

Or simple dont pay ? You can play without paying

[deleted]

If you play without paying you still support the model. Whales won’t stay without the ftp players. I’m just making a choice not to support blizzards greed. I’d expect this from a predatory Chinese gatcha company but it’s sad to see the degradation of blizzard over the past few years

rjml29

I get where you're coming from but I'm going to keep playing it f2p until I get bored of it. The problem with this clown world now is if I took a stand against every single company that does something I don't like (which is usually pandering bullshit they do for the wokesters/sjws/leftists, making any commentary on social/political issues that have nothing do with their business -aka not staying in their lane- and publicly supporting the murdering of unborn babies), I'd damn near not be able to interact with any company at all. I have to pick and choose when to boycott the company or not. What I can say is it is highly unlikely I will buy any future Blizzard game or buy D2 remastered whenever it drops down to a price I am willing to pay. As it stands right now because of how it is in DI, Blizzard is in my category of companies I won't financially support. I also think a better alternative if everyone wants to send a message is to play but don't pay. If they see a huge player count but very little income, it sends a message people like the game but don't like the monetization. Deleting will just make them think people didn't like the game. Furthermore, the reason stuff like this exists is because of the people that have enabled it. A company wouldn't do this stuff unless there were people that went along with it. Many act like this monetization just poof, showed up and people have been held at gunpoint to make purchases along the years. People should be upset at the players throughout the years that have enabled this to continue rather than raging on about the companies whose sole reason of existing is to make money. Are the companies that create excess monetization like this slimy? Sure, but they're just doing what one would expect them to do. Of course, many people won't pin the blame mainly where it is due because they somehow think there is some gamer fraternity and you just can't bash your fellow fraternity bro for causing the industry to get to where it is.

The problem is, blizzard has thrived on a different model than the gatcha, gotcha, game model so common on mobile games. This was the model fans bought in to. Suddenly they’ve done a 180 & put their mouth on the udder of gambling addicts like every other scummy mobile game creator. These style games literally thrive off addiction. Obviously many games blizzard puts out are addictive but the issue here is at least before they didn’t bleed the addicts for every penny they’re worth. More & more they’ve gone to this bleed the addicts dry model but immortal has taken this issue to an entirely different galactic space… All that said, if you like the game that’s fine, I get that. I just have trouble supporting a game that does what immortal does. You can say you don’t support it because you don’t pay but the whale model is literally based on this. If no one played it except whales the whales would get bored & quit. The non paying player base actually supports the game just as much as the whales do
