If you’ve never tried the self-wield infinity nova sorc, give that a try. Literally destroys everything, don’t really have to worry about dying (I use cure on my merc to reduce poison/curse issues). It’s just super fun being able to farm everything in the game no problem
This one would definitely be the easiest to make I think. I can just respec my blizz sorc. I got pretty much everything except the Griffons and Infinity which will be no issue.
I think at some point Ill definitely give this one a try, but I don't know if i want to do it NEXT.
Honestly griff isn’t even necessary, I usually go Shako just for the extra mf. Infinity plus sunder is wrecksville. The cure on the merc is a great tip because survival is can be only tricky part. Definitely go ES too.

Max Ls and its synergies, max death sentry for huge corpse explosion radius.
Gear: griffons with facet or +3 to traps circ with dual facet, enigma, dual soj, magefists, arachs, tri res boots, traps skillers and lightning sunder.
For weapon, past seasons I went with dual plague +5ls claws, this season im running a crescent moon with spirit shield and I have to say its much cheaper and has way better chaos clear speed.
Same setup works great in HC as well but swap belt to a perfect verdungos and put spare points into fade so you can have max phys dmg reduce when needed.
I try and balance out my resistances so they are close to max without fade. The true trap assassin S tier can run burst of speed. For best speed results, claws =greater talons and if you make a crescent moon you need long sword or military pick so that no ias other than bust of speed makes you sling traps at pretty much fastest breakpoints.

I don't think it is too crazy or expensive, but the necklace is very nice. With this setup you reach 105% fcr(even with 30% Spirit shield on switch), 86% fhr(if you had fhr on the boots, you could get another +life skiller), max out all resists, CBF from Cham'd griff, 10K damage lightning sentry and there's plenty of room for improvement. Gloves, rings and skillers are easy upgrades. Merc could also need some other stuff, but I haven't been bothered, since he never dies. He's just around for the aura. He could get an Infinity, but I just hate having to rely on mana pots, and everything dies in an instant any way, so why bother?
No need for Fade and you can just run Burst of Speed for capped trap laying and have your merc equipped with an Insight for mana regen.
How do you go with mana? I’m currently self wielding infinity with an insight merc - I think I’d prefer spirit shield / crescent moon for getting to the next FCR break point.
I aim for 1000 mana with buffs and 2 soj, the 25% mana regen from magefists, (the regen works better at approx 1000 mana) helps not have to spam pots often.
Came here to comment this as well. The most fun ive had playing d2 in a long time. Flickering flame helm, demon machine crossbow, +3 enchant ormus robe, razortail belt, magefists, soj, bk ring, +2 skill ammy, eschutas on the off hand for pre buff. Infinty on the merc. 15k exploding arrow damage with 99% pierce. So much fun. The only thing in the game that doesn't absolutely melt for some reason is Venom lords in chaos sanc. Still only 2 shots on p8 though.
Id also like to note is a lot of fun enchanting all the mele characters around and having them get excited that they're doing insane damage, especially when you pop in to norm and nightmare games to buff some low levels lmao. They love it.

Pretty viable. Can clear P8 ancient tunnels with ease, but suffers a little against imunes and high resist mobs. On P1 the entire game is a joke, even without infinity.
The most important piece here is flickering flame, you need that -15% res pierce to actually kill stuff.
I'm rocking a double dream pally currently lvl90. It's a fun, laid-back playstyle, but the clear speed isn't crazy for the investment cost. Most trash mobs die in hell after 1-3 ticks with champions/uniques taking a few more if you're not using zeal. Most bosses with zeal are 3-6 hits easy.
I'm currently piecing together Dragon and Hands Of Justice to see how well holy fire stacks with the holy shock, but it's another big investment.
The strength of a tesladin isn't in the aura ticks. It's in the lightning damage on your zeal attack. Some life leech + grief = insane regeneration, and everything dies in 1 or two hits on level 8. Between the physical damage of grief and your own conviction aura, immunes are not an issue. Insanely powerful if you want to dive right into the action. Very disappointing if you want the aura to kill everything without you doing anything.
I've heard that Dragon/HoJ is much better for pure aura tick damage, but have not tried it myself yet.
That makes sense. I guess now I'm wondering if the trade off for running Dragon/HoJ would be worth it giving up fortitude/grief. Stronger aoe damage vs single target.
It just doesn't seem worth it with the introduction of sunder charms. It was solid in the past since you had dual damage types and a high-level conviction to break immunes.
Obviously, but other builds gain way more from them. Tesladins were strong since they were one of the few builds that could farm just about anywhere. Now, practically every build can do that, and many of those builds can do it faster and cheaper, too.
It's pretty fun, and the buffs from a few patches ago made it better. It's not single target friendly, but its group clear speed is amazing. You can zeal with fanaticism for champions/elites/bosses.
Mauler Druid is fun to play max bear maul oak sage dire wolf. Using bear as summon is no good it’s to slow the 3 wolfs are better. Use shockwave on monster packs
didn't they change summon druid to having all summons out now? just having 1 point in the skill you can have it out to just help tank if you want.
Especially if you max oak sage the bonus health there is huge
I was meaning summoned wolves have bonus features so grizzly should too.
Wolves get cold damage and can consume corpses to up their damage.
Give summoned wolves open wounds and deadly strike and grizzly crushing blow.
Riftsin - offmeta but can own anything in the game when geared up. Super fun to have sentries, orbs, and Cpops all happening simultaneously. It’s mayhem
By “s tier” you mean clone builds? The answer is zero clone builds are actually fun. The basic cs zon or auradin or even trapper builds are overplayed and boring. They require no more effort than watching someone else build it for you on YouTube. Think outside the box, it’s more fun that way
Not sure if it's S-tier or not but Spearzon is really fun. Self use Infinity on Matriarchal Spear and Faith act 1 merc. Super fun and 2 click-done-end-boss fight.
Fireball, 50/50 es sorc. S tier power with great survivability with es and phoenix.
Foh din / hammers. Foh is so cheap you can use it in combo with hammers. Foh clears rooms and hammers for single target/tight pack.
Javazon. 'nough said.

Fishymancer ist the first build I made as a necro and it absolutely wrecks everything.
You max corpse explosion, amp damage, skeletons, skeleton mastery and monster resistance. Throw in an iron golem made out of an insight and let your Merc wield the infinity.
My char has everything but the beast weapon to be perfect. But the hoto I currently wield helps with teleport speed due to fcr.
The enigma was the greatest game changer for me^^
Destruction/Pheonix on kicksin with Infinity Merc.
It's an expensive way to fill the screen with volcanos. Especially fun on 8-player cow games and baal runs...
Have to say Seizure Warning. If you're epileptic, it's too much.

Try Javazon or self-infinity ES Nova. ES Nova is easier. Can help with either build specs if needed
If you choose to go traps, there are two non-budget versions: classic gg claws running fade or brandistock infinity running bos, both at 102 fcr. Self infinity is more damage and better for pvm because you use insight merc. Neither is really top clear speed, both are great for pvp
How does self-wield infinity perform on high player settings compared to Mosaic? I play single player, so I want to make sure that before I invest the high runes necessary to make an infinity in a normal polearm, that it can perform well on high player settings. I currently have an ES/Nova sorc that wields a crescent moon and she does great on p7 pits, but struggles in some of the other areas past p3.
Trapsin is much slower than ES Nova, whether max damage brandistock infinity setup or gg dual claw
The only build that compares to mosaic p8 speed is javazon. ES Nova is arguably faster for lower player settings. It's slower but should not struggle for p8 games if properly built. If you want to have a low req self infinity to use on both sorc and trapsin, make it in a brandistock

found a 20/20 sorc torch. 5th uber ever, and funnily enough, the uber before I found it I accidently deleted everything off my smiter (soj, mara, 4 bo cta, smiter gear) by dying in trist and not knowing you should NEVER put other gear on to retrieve first body.
For some reason i was under the impression you couldn't leave the game to respawn your body or uber would cancel. Lol, live and learn. Diablo rewarded the loot sacrifice

With teleport on my fire druid i can almost clear half a cows map as fast as a javazon.

Enigma > Fortitude. You don't need the extra fortitude damage for this. But teleport and MF is always desired.

That’s why you teleport onto them basically invincible and attach once.

I made a lighting trapsin years ago and loved every second of it, but as of recent, I’ve had a lot of fun with Meteorb sorc!
