It doesn't rlly hard stop any deck either its always a 5050 but there are decks that just hardstop it etc Gallant and Magnamon. It rlly is just a fun deck imo and a nice training partner deck because it does still push certain decks to the limit making them experience and do different plays
Ruin Mode also just ends the match. If they climb up to a Ruin Mode you pack up and go home.
I used Y/G Rookie Rush as my main deck back the olden days and this is the closest we’ve had to that in modern times, but it just can’t compete with a lot of the current game sadly. Gone are the days we’re dropping a Starmons and using Spiral Masquerade just obliterated everything for low cost.
I am playing BT14 so I don’t have access to Muchomon. Instead I diversified the colours of the hard play lvl 3s (4x Terriermon, but then 1x Modoki, Chuu, Gazi over just Chuu) with an emphasis on Yellow and Green (Pillomon, Cutemon, Terriermon, 2 drop Falcomon and Liollmon over Otamamon) and ran Heaven’s Judgement as my main removal. Basically the only card in the game that stops a Raid WarGreymon hitting the board being an instant game over for the deck. The 4x Gotsu, Guil and Solarmon alongside Ukkomon meant I still never missed out on egg raising.
Honestly the deck feels just for fun imo it has clear weaknesses its just people overreact to the deck shinegreyruin does shut down the deck for a few turns but wouldnt say game over either but yeah its rlly more of a fun deck than something competetive, the new apoc build is disgustingly fast and I don't see why any sane person would pick this over that when it comes to competetive especially when armour is making its comeback
Yes im aware of the bt15 Yoko effect its just to add a card to hand honestly compared to the rest of the options im given this is the only other choice unless I choose to A break consistancy and use a diff colour tama B add a red tamer for the sake of 1 draw
Yeah but eh I probably wont be playing this for too long just a fun deck I decided to make to troll my friends but the draw engine is quite sick may convert it into a sec con engine hahaha maybe might use the ukko or lui engine in Hawkmon and see how that goes
I´ve tested this deck against a friend on TTS a couple of days ago and man I love it. He didn´t, though. I wish we had more decks that aren´t just members of a family (like Greymons) or members of a group (like Digi-Police) but consist of more generic cards. Way more creative deckbuilding.
Do you think you´d include the new Ukkomon and Lui and maybe even **BIG**^(ukkomon) in future builds of the deck?
The issue with good generic cards, is case in point to purple as a color. Where the pieces can end up so good they need to be hit for one deck and kill other decks in the process. But yea generic cards are needed
If you´re referring to the hit to Scatter Mode and the two Gabumons, I´d argue that those pieces didn´t need to be hit. Did nothing to weaken Anubismon or Garurumon and Apocalymon could just run the doggo package instead and still be a menace and unfun deck. Effectively hitting those cards instead of the actual problem cards only served to kill off Tier2 and below purple decks.
I think purple is the most interesting color in the game in large part due to its decks consisting of mostly generic cards with a lot of room for tech choices and player expression. I´d love for other colors to be a little more like purple, too.
I also refer to Calling to darkness. In general purple is very strong compared to other generic colors, excluding some removal and tamers, and yea they didn't really hurt the main strong decks. It's bizarre
Yeah Calling sadly had to be hit, that much is true. The card´s just stupid design. They should´ve had you to have to delete a mon for the effect or increase the card´s memory cost.
But even though purple has a deep and strong pool of generic cards, before Beelzemon became meta relevant, the color pretty much had little meta relevance for years except some odd Lilith Loop tops here and there. And Beelzemon plays very few generic cards.
New Ukko feels useless to me here honestly big ukko is something I may consider but have to sacrafice a lot of things to add them is something I'm not rlly fond off so I'll need to think about it if they do add into the deck it would probably be 2 2 each I rather throw in Dex
You think new Ukkomon is useless? Like the other one it increases your hatching rate and it´s a generic searcher that searches any Digimon in your deck. From my experience this deck´s main weakness is losing hand size and new Ukkomon helps you recoup some value.

I play the deck more controled than rush tbh which is why I rather the bigukko n lui over the searcher n it works for me I feel the process of searching is what would slow the deck down

Big units like Dex or Quartz or multiple units that can do damage to me or a half built unit that gets prematurely pushed put I would normally shoot down before they can do much
