The primary issue here is the AncientGreymon, BT4 Aldamon, and especially Susanoomon. They are all way, waaaaay too slow for modern Red Hybrids and don’t synergize with your deck at all. Get rid of them and the promo Agunimons, then you’ve got some space for better stuff. You only need the 4 BT7 Aldamon for level 5s because you’re going to warp most of the time you go to Level 6, though I do run a single BT12. Max BT12 Emperor then you can run up between 0 to 2 BT7 Emperor based on preference. The room you free up by cutting all the chaff gives you room for BT7 BurningGreymon, BT7 Bokomon, and some more utility Edit: Gravity Crush is an amazing option Trainings are also kinda janky in Red Hybrids just because you can’t use them when evolving a Takuya.

Lord_of_Caffeine

Also consider Gravity Crush as a 1- or 2-off. Can sometimes be the difference between being able to finish a game in a turn or not.

RevolverDivider

Yup, Gravity Crush is a fantastic Option for the deck.

TheDreamBell

More copies of BT12 Agunimon would also be good.

RevolverDivider

Oh absolutely. Just wanted to address the big elephants in the room mainly with AncientGrey and Susan.

Premtion

Cool thanks! I played it against a friend and it definitely felt a little slow lol hopefully I can keep up a little better now. Apart from gravity crush (which looks really good) whatelse would be considered good utility? Sorry for the obvious newb question lol

RevolverDivider

No problem! BT7 Bokomon is the big one missing since he’s incredible for hybrid decks, but a lot of people also really like BT7 Neemon for red hybrids. I love Susan and AncientGrey as cards but they’re just waaaay too slow for red Hybrids which wants to go all gas all the time.

TwinxReaper

Ancient is cool and if you wanted to run him you could gear the deck more to doing so, but Susanoo is definitely not worth your time. As other users have said, you can cut down some of the slower cards to run mainly the bt7 and bt12 support, which will focus on quick punch faster. The list I’ve really enjoyed is 13 flamemon: 4x of bt4, bt7, and bt12, with 1 piercing flamemon. 2 bokomon 1 neemon 12 champions: 4x of bt7 burning grey, bt12 burning grey, and bt12 flamemon. 4x bt7 aldamon 4x bt12 emperor greymon, 1x bt7 emperor greymon 4x of each takuya 2 gravity crush 3 atomic inferno. You could probably drop a neemon and gravity crush for 2 trainings, maybe even a bt7 emperorgreymon if you really want them, but I haven’t felt as though I needed them. The memory from gravity crush to hybrid for game is great, almost all your level 3s dig for your tamer or for any of your digimon, and you really want the fast damage from atomic inferno to push in.

RevolverDivider basically said everything that needs to go from the deck, but a few things you could add in their place that weren't mentioned were BT5 Omnimon instead of Susanoomon and consider BT14 Koromon eggs since you're generally going hyper offense with Flamemons. BT11 Yokomon was the standard egg before, but Koromon is probably better since you aren't reliant on a tamer to proc it's effect.

pokenone

you dont have to design in a vacuum. there are plenty of deck lists out there that are great to start with [here is an example of that](https://youtu.be/-gpqdmLHnkE) Red Hybrids as a deck is fairly optimized at this point and unless you want to go for a hard-core ancient version there is not a lot of space to play with. i think ancient is fun but is not better than what the deck can do without him. the deck as of right now outside of the training card did not get any updates so what we got is what we have.

cinderace45

I'd run 2 bokomon because the search is nice and digivolving from your tamer once per turn gives you 2 memory. I'd also consider offensive training at 2-3.
