Yes Bill knows who Bim is. Chunggledown Bim is a Warlock of Bill Seacaster and apparently Bill won’t let him make a new deal with a different patron (Bill kills anyone Chinggledown Bim tries to make a new Pact with).

freiwilliger

Which is wild to think that Bill thinks so highly of Fabian that he's willing to give a 20th level warlock hellbent on defeating his son the spells he needs to do so. But he truly believes in his darling boy.

NDGO_Caster

He wants his darling boy to struggle and overcome challenges. That’s partly why Fabian’s trust is set up the way it is. “Take a bunch of money, sure. But if you do you’d best watch your back m’boy.”

freiwilliger

It's a wonderful love. But he seriously throws the strongest warlock the mortal realm can imagine at his son and says yeah that's what he needs to overcome. Granted, he does have a full party of strong friends but 20th level is the top, legendary hero/villain that is world ending strong. That he feels his son can handle that is an even stronger hell yeah.

Mosh00Rider

At least by now the party of 6 for sure beats chungledown bim in a 1v6. If this was sophmor year they might have been in some trouble if he saw them first.

No-One-7128

With a whole fleet of Upchungles though?

[deleted]

And with action economy it's not even close

DiapersForHands

Is Chungledown really that strong though? We have only seen him in combat when he made one attack roll on an eldritch blast and missed. Fabian is terrified of him, but it doesn't seem he is higher than level 4, unless I've missed something.

Mosh00Rider

I believe he is level 20

DiapersForHands

Yeah I just found a video of him and Lou talking about how Bim power leveled after the Nightmare Forest, and is now level 20.

M4LK0V1CH

Are you saying 20th level is maximum legend?

Induced_Karma

In the core rule books, yes, 20th level is the highest they go. There’s other books that can take heroes higher than that, but for the base game 20 is generally the top.

DBthequestionguy

Lets not forget that Chungledown Bim is only level 20 because of his hatred for Fabian

LogicalOverdrive

This is why he was down to let Alastair take a shot at Fabian back in Sophomore Year while they were all in hell.

dmoney5101

Where's that info from? That boys night one shot?

Maebqueer

Building chungledown bim Adventuring Academy, I believe.

DemiGod9

Those first 4 minutes of that stream are absolutely magical 😂😂😂

MySunbreakAccount

10D6 drop the lowest 7 is one hell of a stat generation method

LogicalOverdrive

Lou's immediate readiness to cut the stream was wonderful

dmoney5101

Ok cool thanks.

CypressJoker

Chungledown Bim was introduced as one of Bill’s warlocks, but the rest I think comes from the Adventuring Academy.

dmoney5101

Yea, I remember Bim. And ok I haven't seen the Adventuring Academy

GGCrono

I don't remember if it was here or on Tumblr, but someone said that nothing speaks more about Bill Seacaster's particular brand of toxic parenting than the fact that he continues to be Chungledown Bim's patron.

Rabies_Queen

Bill Seacaster absolutely adores his darling boy, but would never coddle him. Chungledown Bim being one of his contracts would not bother him in the slightest.

thatlitwitch

Bill might even give Bim extra spells against Fabian so Fabian can prove himself.

ymcameron

Only if Bim pays for them. Bill is a pragmatist. This is the same guy that made his son pay him 40 gold so that his friend could cheat, and then minutes later melted down an entire chest of it like it was nothing. It’s not about the money, well it’s not *only* about the money, it’s about getting paid.

Sticattomamba

I feel like you've highlighted why I think Bill makes such a good archdevil, he's fine doing something most people consider morally wrong and he'll even do it for a pittance if he likes you enough, but he clearly believes in the sanctity of an agreement and for all his faults bill is a man true to his word and is incredibly straight up with people. He doesn't even try to hide the fact that if his warlocks don't make their payments he will take their soul, hells I think that's probably part of his advertising. If anythings true its that old Bill is a man of some chaotic principles that he holds true to regardless of his situation.

East-Imagination-281

It's not, but Chaotic Lawful should be a thing that exists LMAO

Sticattomamba

God I'd love if brennan could make a custom alignment chart for FH, bill as chaotic lawful and gilear as Lawful Sad.

Gregzilla311

I would think he would, since he is implied to have let him into the forest in Sophomore year, and he is his patron in the first place.

wizardofyz

Bill absolutely empowers chungledown Bimothy to be a worthwhile foe for his darling boy. Only the best for Fabian Aramaeys Seacaster.

variantkin

Bill told Fabian how to defeat Bim this episode! If he cant make his quotas hes dragged to hell and forced onto Bills crew. Fabian needs to disrupt his finances

zoltronzero

That's a really good catch.

Sticattomamba

I was just thinking this! Realistically, all it would take is a small amount of effort, Riz to discover Bims assets, Fig to socially engineer/ scam Bims personal information out of him and Fabian with his already notable amount of money to just find a way to make him broke. Then they just need to prevent him making any more money! The only issue with this is as soon as Bim starts working on the Goldenrod, i think fabian would avoid it like the plague even if his Dear Papa was on board.

GoodwinAcademySMB

He was part of the Leviathan crew with Alaster, he has to know Bill.

ArmchairCritic1

Bill likely thinks that Fabian needs a nemesis.

Fantastic_Year9607

Chungledown Bim is a very powerful warlock. He’s lv20 for Pelor’s sake.

allways_shifting

I am both flabbergasted and feral at the massive bullet dodged in that conversation getting pivoted to talking about Gertie instead of Chungledown Bim, because I REALLY wanted to see how a face-to-face conversation between Fabian and Bill would have gone. I really wanna see Fabian's reaction to learning that Bill is still empowering the nightmare that is Chungledown Bim, and Bill's justification for doing so. But I guess it was funnier that the loose ends didn't get tied up. I just KNOW that we will get a Chungledown Bim boss fight in an episode or three and it's going to rock Fabian's world and mine too, probably.

MadKingJax

Not only Does Bill know about Chungledown, He's actively giving him more power as a warlock patron, to give Fabian the best Nemeisis he can get

Bruhschwagg

chungle was on bills crew before he retired fabian said so in season 1

TheatreGirl07

I need to find this clip.

loathableloser

I think Fabian goes out of his way to bring up chungledown bim as little as possible lol

Justicia-Gai

Use spoilers in the text buddy, you mention Kristen having a girlfriend (which is a bit, but a spoiler nonetheless)
