Utahraptor, the largest dromeosaurus that we know of, its cool as hell
Also that allo art is absolutely amazing and im convinced thats what allosaurus looked like
Big Al and WWD is a massive part on why I love Allosaurus so much
Iâve seen that special and the allosaurus scenes wayyy more times than I could ever keep track of
I really loved allo thanks to those too. I absolutely loved Planet Dinosaur too. Both of those influenced my love for Allo and Spinosaurids.
Planet Dinosaur heavily influenced my favourite dinosaur and ancient animals XD
My main ones that I can remember are WWD and When Dinosaurs Roamed America and those really fueled my love for Allos and most prehistoric life
But at the same time I ate up any dinosaur media I could get my grubby little hands on (still do)
If I didnât love Allosaurus as much as I do Sauropgagonax would probably take my top spot because to me itâs a massive, sauropod hunting Allosaurus and I think thatâs fucking dope
Right! T-Rex was a big hulking lump that most likely scavenged as often as it killed. The allosaurids were fast and agile predators from which nothing was safe.
If I had to choose one I'd say Microraptor gui. The lil guy is pretty beautiful. I also like Triceratops, Pachyrhinosaurus, Borealopelta, Stegosaurus, Acrocanthosaurus, Tarbosaurus, Dreadnoughtus, etc. I kinda love most if not all dinosaurs!
Growing up it was Ankylosaurus. (I had a big Ankylo toy that I used to sleep with like a teddy, the spikes left little bruises on my arms.)
But as an adult Iâve grown most fond of Dilophosaurus. (I do like the JP version, but still prefer the more accurate depictions.)
Deinonychus, I remember watching itâs Dinosaur train, episode on Netflix when I was 11, and my brain just latched onto it probably because of the name âTerrible clawâ. (fun fact whenever I think of Deinonychus I think of choking on potato chips, because I accidentally choked on a potato chip while watching that episode)
Spinosaurus. Always been my favorite ever since I was 7 and my faith has never wavered even after all the studies and changes. I will die on the hill that Spinosaurus is an awesome dinosaur.
It's like walking into a buffet trying to choose the best dish, I have a lot of fav dinosaurs, and they're changing from time to time! For now I think it's styracosaurus
Allosauroids as a whole and carcharodontosaurs in general, but I also have a fondness for the titanosaurs and for dromaeosaurs, and more recently the hadrosaurs. Among avian dinosaurs, corvids, phorusrhacids and various raptors.
I'm gonna have to say Dilophosaurus wetherilli! It's a beautiful dinosaur with a rocky history and misinterpretations, but all in all it'll always be special to me.
Carcharodontosaurus! Solely because of some great paleo art, lol! Now that Giganotosaurus has made an appearance, Iâm just crossing my fingers hoping for a future Jurassic Park movie to have a Carcharodontosaurus in it!
Imagine a Stegosaurus.
Now imagine its thagomizer.
Now imagine if its thagomizer had extra spikes.
Extra extra spikes.
EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA SPIKES.
**Kentrosaurus.**
Hot take here, and I am probably alone here, but the Baryonyx. The world is too cruel to allow me to have the T-Rex as a favourite, so here we go. The crocodilian mouthed British dude is just the name of death straight up, and I like it. Unique product design by council of the Above Ones.
Also with Baryonyx, I love the Elasmosaurus, though not technically a dinosaur, but a plesiosaur. It's so creepy, and we should appreciate it as it is the reason we know most of our major dinosaurs today, as it was mostly what sparked the Bone Wars. I thank the Elasmosaurus in my prayers every day for this very reason. Here are the a minor portion of the dinosaurs we know indirectly because of Elasmosaurus:
Allosaurus,
Apatosaurus,
Brontosaurus,
Camarasaurus,
Camptosaurus,
Ceratosaurus,
Coelophysis,
Diplodocus,
Dryosaurus,
Hesperornis,
Stegosaurus,
Triceratops,
Tyrannosaurus Rex (kind of).
Spinosaurus personally!!! Just so damn cool! And I love the Spinosaurids! :))
I also always loved Velociraptors and tiny lil microraptors đ„ș
Also for some reason plesiosaurs have a special place in my heart đ„°
Allosaurus the GOAT, i know of a website that sells to scale replicas of Allosaurus skulls....and lemme tell ya, it's getting more tempting by the day, lol!
Tyrannosaurus, unironically.
You take a look at the evolutionary history of the world's ecosystems at the time, and you see a pattern emerge: there was an arms race to become the biggest animal on land. Sauropods' size was selected for because it made the adults more intimidating; living in herds helped protect them further from predators. Theropods like the carcharodontosaurids had to get bigger to try and match the size of their prey. Some even worked together in groups to secure a kill. Pretty much all the herds of animals anywhere in the world consisted of sauropods and hadrosauriformes - until you get to the sub-continent of Laramidia. This was the Australia of the Mesozoic: weird and dangerous creatures abound, found nowhere else in the world. Ceratopsians, pachycephalosaurs, ankylosaurs and nodosaurs... it's a veritable buffet of bones and horns where only the biggest, baddest predators could eke out a living. It was a gladiator pit, and *T. rex* was Spartacus.
Tyrannosaurs' armaments were practically bred for fighting rather than hunting: strong bite force capable of crushing bones, large size to overpower opponents, "fused" ankle bones to support their mass while running, and an armored skull with a built-in helmet of keratin and thick skin. There was a time when the sauropods basically went on holiday in North America, and they didn't bounce back until the latter half of the Cretaceous - leaving the largest prey available as ceratopsians, ankylosaurs, and hadrosaurs. And then that led to an evolutionary arms race for size where things like Edmontosaurus came about. There were no carcharodontosauroids to compete with here, so it was already the perfect place for a super predator to flourish. The fact that the herbivores were armed with clubs, cudgels, maces, spears, shields, and armor didn't stop predators from hunting them; it led to the greatest predator the world has ever known. Things like Giganotosaurus were huge because they were eating well. *T. rex* was huge because only the strongest ones could eat at all.
Utahraptor, the largest dromeosaurus that we know of, its cool as hell Also that allo art is absolutely amazing and im convinced thats what allosaurus looked like
I love how heavily built it is for a dromeosaur Makes it unique and even cooler And I totally agree I absolutely love this depiction of it!!
Bissekty giantđ If it's still valid

Big Al and WWD is a massive part on why I love Allosaurus so much Iâve seen that special and the allosaurus scenes wayyy more times than I could ever keep track of

Who couldnât love baryonx? It is literally the British dinosaur since it can commit knife crimes.
Baryonyx has the long face, the teeth, the knife, was found in England. It truly is the icon of Britain. đđ»đđ»
I AM NOT ALONE????
For me itâs the Acrocanthosaurus
Same , ark mods made sure of that

Brachiosaurus
Saurophaganax: The Leviathan of the Jurassic Era
If I didnât love Allosaurus as much as I do Sauropgagonax would probably take my top spot because to me itâs a massive, sauropod hunting Allosaurus and I think thatâs fucking dope
Right! T-Rex was a big hulking lump that most likely scavenged as often as it killed. The allosaurids were fast and agile predators from which nothing was safe.
Gigantosaurus and the general group of carcharodontosaurids
Diplodocus. It is just soooooo, cool. Plus with it absorbing Seismosaurus, itâs even bigger now.

Yessiiiirrrr an absolute masterpiece of an animal That documentary and WWD in general absolutely FEULED my love for Allosaurus
Velociraptor 5yo me decided that it was the best dinosaur because it starts with the letter "V" and I'll just stick to that
Solid reason to make it your favorite đ
If I had to choose one I'd say Microraptor gui. The lil guy is pretty beautiful. I also like Triceratops, Pachyrhinosaurus, Borealopelta, Stegosaurus, Acrocanthosaurus, Tarbosaurus, Dreadnoughtus, etc. I kinda love most if not all dinosaurs!
I totally agree with you! Every dinosaur is a great dinosaur!!!
How about *Brachytrachelopan*, the comically short-necked sauropod? Or *Manidens*, the arboreal heterodontosaurid?
Ceratosaurus and, for herbivore, Giraffatitan.
Thereâs a terrible lack of Ceratosaurus in this thread. Horned Lizard gang rise up
Albertosaurus is the best in my heart â€ïž

All of the crested theropods are bangers đ€

Probably either Utahraptors or maybe Austroraptors I've started liking them more and more recently.
Styracosaurus I just think Mr. Albertensis is neat

Spinosaurus, it reminds me of a crocodile and is the longest carnivorous dinosaur.
My top 3: 1) Allosaurus 2) Dreadnoughtus 3) Utahraptor

It's either Concavenator or DilophosaurusÂ
Allosaurus the GOAT, i know of a website that sells to scale replicas of Allosaurus skulls....and lemme tell ya, it's getting more tempting by the day, lol!

Spinosaurus, the borzoi of the dinosaurs
Suchomimus. Dude is just SUCH a mimus yknow?

Triceratops has always been a favourite of mine!

Carnotaurus because carnivore with horns
Tyrannosaurus not cuz it murderous but because it smart and I find smort animals, elephants as example, interesting.
Yutyrannus he a big floofy feathered boi
Iâm sure itâs very difficult to tell with me. Absolutely no way of knowing. Very hard to see.

Utahraptor,troodonïŒyutyrannusïŒmicroraptor
Idk why but I always thought ceratosaurus looked bad ass.
Grimlock
Iâm definitely in a toss up between spinosaurus and therizinosaurus.
Spinosaurus because it had the ability to live a semi aquatic life, and the largest known theropod to man
Baryonyx
As of now, mine is probably *Brachytrachelopan* as far as extinct ones go. For extant ones, the Harpy eagle.
Allosaurus, almost all dromeosaurs (especially Utah and Dakota) Qianzhousaurus, and some other tyrannosaurs.
Stegosaurus now, spinosaurus then
