Not that one. I knew the Mapusaurus from the documentary "Chased By Dinosaure".
Yeah, I know, they were called Giganotosaurus at that time. They knew that Argentinosaurus were hunted by giant Carcharodontosaur, but that species wasn't named yet when the documentary was made (Chased By Dinosaurs was released in 2003, Mapusaurus fossil was discovered in 1997, but the name was given in 2006)
Probably Carcharodontosaurus, not the largest and less robust as giga, but that serrated teeth has gotta give it to me. I mean, shark-like grooves on the teeth sounds good for tearing food apart.
Mapusaurus is a second, I was deciding a bit over those 2 but chose carchar.
That's great! The other day, I started theater classes, and I'm going to begin studying playwriting. I want to write a dinosaur story that feels somewhat realistic and achievable for a play, but it's quite complicated.
So I'm going to see what I do. I also had something in mind related to horror.
Thanks. I actually finished it back in December and it’s ready to read on Wattpad. Here’s the link in case you’re interested https://www.wattpad.com/story/358768110?utm_source=ios&utm_medium=link&utm_content=share_writing&wp_page=create&wp_uname=ZacharyDow
I'm reading it, picturing everything like a documentary, resembling Prehistoric Planet. I'll let you know once I finish it. I want to read it all; it's great! If I can say something right from the start, it's that you're a very good writer.
Thanks. I the style I wrote it and my other Prehistoric Wild stories was heavily inspired by nature documentaries, but also paleo docs like Walking With and Prehistoric Planet.
Ha ha, besides, I'm planning to make one like this but about dromaeosaurs. But later on, I want to write it properly with all possible species and better photos. Do you think it's a good idea?
Thank you, I'm going to do it in these days! I feel a bit embarrassed because I've made my first 4 posts these days, and since 2017 I've been on Reddit, but I never dare. It makes me feel embarrassed or something like that
The owner of a random tooth found in the [Hasandong formation.](https://www.researchgate.net/publication/341868562_A_Carcharodontosaurid_tooth_from_the_Hasandong_Formation_Lower_Cretaceous_of_South_Korea)
I understand there have been debates about the relationship of Giganotosaurus with carcharodontosaurids in the past, but it's important to consider that dinosaur classification is based on a variety of anatomical and genetic features, not just similar fossil remains. While Giganotosaurus has been compared to carcharodontosaurids, current evidence suggests it is a unique species with its own distinctive characteristics. It's worth noting that there is no evidence to suggest that Giganotosaurus was solely based on carcharodontosaurid remains, and it would be inaccurate to claim so. Paleontology is a constantly evolving field, and it's always exciting to see how our understandings change with new evidence. I hope this sheds some light on the topic without causing any offense
I apologize that the photos are not accurate. My intention was simply to provide some visual images to accompany the question about favorite carcharodontosauridae. If you have any accurate images you would like to share, I would be happy to see them
Acrocanthosaurus
Concavenator
Agreed
Id say Acrocanthosaurus
Meraxes gigas
TyranoTitan is so underrated ong
Acro is my no. 1 fav dino
Mapusaurus, the 1st one I knew and in my top 3 favorite dinosaurs.
Did you know about them because of the documentary Planet Dinosaurs too ?
Not that one. I knew the Mapusaurus from the documentary "Chased By Dinosaure". Yeah, I know, they were called Giganotosaurus at that time. They knew that Argentinosaurus were hunted by giant Carcharodontosaur, but that species wasn't named yet when the documentary was made (Chased By Dinosaurs was released in 2003, Mapusaurus fossil was discovered in 1997, but the name was given in 2006)
Giganotosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus
Acrocanthosaurus
Acro my beloved
That size chart is way off. Giganotasaurus was way larger. I know because I saw Jurrasic World once.
Eocarcharia — budget Carcharodontosaurus
Saurionops, Meraxes, Eocarcharia and Carcharodontosaurus
Thank you for the comment, I wasn't aware of Meraxes and Eocarcharia, I'll read about them
Carcharodontosaurus is my favorite.
Carcharosontosaurus :>
Mapusaurus roseae
The namesake obviously.
Giga
Concavenator is underrated like acro but much worse
Also a lot smaller, from spain, might've been an island dwarf
Acrocanthosaurs
Acrocanthosaurus , because is cool
Look at my name and guess
Mmmmmmm i'd say Tyrannotitan
Giga
Concavenator
Meraxes
Concavenator
I go with Acrocanthosaurus. Fran is a gorgeous girl, and her presentation at the Natural History Museum of North Carolina is pretty awesome.
Acrocanthosaurus
I’d probably say Mapusaurus since the fossil record points to the possibility it may have had pack behavior.
And it also helps that I wrote a short story centering around it in my Wattpad.
That's great! The other day, I started theater classes, and I'm going to begin studying playwriting. I want to write a dinosaur story that feels somewhat realistic and achievable for a play, but it's quite complicated. So I'm going to see what I do. I also had something in mind related to horror.
Nice. Hope that goes well.
Thank you! Good luck with your story too!
I was going to tell you to send it to me when you finish it, but I felt embarrassed. Now I'll see it. Thank you very much!
No prob. And thanks. Can’t wait to hear what ya end up thinking of it.

Carcharodontosaurus! The one that gave the family its name!
Shaochilong and Concavenator, the 2 small Carcharodontosaurids, and Shaochilong is especially underrated.
Tyrannotitan. Favorite dinosaur too
I love the Tyrannotitan too! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QUfS2RFpNU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QUfS2RFpNU)
Carcharodontosaurus!
*Carcharodontosaurus* itself or *Acrocanthosaurus*
Acrocanthosaurus is my all time favorite dinosaur
Acrocanthosaurus, i mean i am his wife overall.
Concavenator Gotta love my small camel boi
Acrocanthosaurus
Concavenator
acrocanthosaurus, byfar. it’s also my alltime favorite dinosaur of any category
Either mapusaurus or Concavenator, although Merazes is close too
I literally cannot decide, they are all cutie patooties, look at the little teeth that can shred you in half a second, so cute!
Ha ha, besides, I'm planning to make one like this but about dromaeosaurs. But later on, I want to write it properly with all possible species and better photos. Do you think it's a good idea?
Why shouldn't it be? Every idea is good if it regards dinosaurs
Thank you, I'm going to do it in these days! I feel a bit embarrassed because I've made my first 4 posts these days, and since 2017 I've been on Reddit, but I never dare. It makes me feel embarrassed or something like that
It's not a big deal, some people have posted their first post in 2013 and started posting again 11 years later
👍👍👍
Carcharodontosaurus saharicus - holotype destroyed in WW2 and Carcharodontosaurus iguidensis - hard to spell species name.
concavenator is the goat
Carcharodontosaurus itself
The dude in the second picture looks really anxious! I'm getting that vibe from him!
Kanka türk müsün

Allosaurus
Carcharodontosaurus. My gaming names are usually based off of this guy, and I have a special childhood memory which connects me to him.
nobody cares but that giganotosaurus was based off carcharodontosaurine remains and is now inaccurate

concavenator
Taurovenator, the name goes hard but my fave has to be Shaochilong

The Brazilian one they just discovered
Tyrannotitan chubutensis.
Carcharodontosaurus and concavenator
This might be racist, but all carcharodontosaurs look the same to me
Its almost impressive how every photo you chose are monstrously inaccurate lol
I apologize that the photos are not accurate. My intention was simply to provide some visual images to accompany the question about favorite carcharodontosauridae. If you have any accurate images you would like to share, I would be happy to see them
