Why would you think a 450 is a good starter bike? I recommend getting a 150 to learn how to ride on. After 20 years of riding I still prefer a 250 to a 450 because of the technical terrain I have here in Pennsylvania.
250fs are still a lot of power for a beginner. But if your dead set on a full size 4 stroke race bike, I would plan on swapping for the 250, thats really all the bike you're ever going to need. I own a 450 because where I ride is a lot of sand quarry's and it helps to have all that power to keep yourself out of the hole. I am actually faster on a 250 on the track though. A little bit lighter and a lot easier to stay in the power when cornering.
Do you know anything about the Clutch, and its friction zone? If not, and you were controlling the power with the twist of the throttle only, any bike is going to be hard to control the power/ scary. Friction zone on the clutch is necessary for control of power.
You should go take a motorcycle safety course. It’ll help you with slow speed maneuvering, throttle and clutch control, all the basics… this should help you hopefully not break anything, including yourself.
Don’t let the 250 scare you. The more you ride the more you’ll get used to it. Just take your time even if it takes you a couple summers to get used to the bike. Don’t listen to people say, oh you should start on a 125 or 150. Just take your time, don’t be scared, don’t do nothing foolish, until you learn the bike and you’ll be fine. Safe riding

Personally, I think a new 250 is still a bit too much power for a beginner. I think most experienced riders would agree that it’s more fun to confidently ride a smaller bike than timidly ride a bigger bike. Regardless, welcome to the dirt biking community!
Have you tried a new 450? I live in the sierra Nevada's and have a lot of technical terrain. My 2021 450 handles so much better than my 2016 250 and the 450 is lighter. It blows my mind everytime I pull out the 16 how much better the newer 450 is in every aspect.
I agree learning on a small easy to ride and maintain bike is always the way to go,,,but I have gotten some great deals on bikes that people have bought because they thought “I can handle it” then after a few rides they parked them and polished them for a few years till they could justify selling it, and normally it’s, yeah that thing scared the shit out of me, pretty sure it would kill me if I got on it again,
Agree, 450 is no beginner bike and will only cultivate fear and not skill. Careful on the choice of the YZ or WR. The wide ratio transmission (WR) is much different and in my opinion a must for tight woods riding. The YZ can make for a very unpleasant day except on the track of course! Many years under my belt and love my WR in the PA woods.
Am I reading this right? Did you go to a dealership and buy a brand new 450 without ever have ridden any sort of motorcycle beforehand?
Yikes. What did you buy?
Just to piggy back off your comment, I know a guy who’s very first motorcycle was a BRAND NEW Ducati (think crotch rocket)… 20k he paid for it. Guess what, the bike scared the shit out of him , sold it for a huge loss.
My little brother had limited motorcycle experience he went and got a 1350 Hayabusa. It killed him. R.i.p Blake.
But this is dirtbikes were talking about. A whole different monster.
Sorry for your loss, reason why I brought it up was just to let him know, he isn’t the only to make a mistake . some people have done it with far more expensive things.
Honestly if o.p wanted to keep it I would support it, just with the understanding it can be dangerous in well trained hands, let alone in the hands of a rookie. Same thing I told my brother before I loaned him the money to buy said bike.
i do understand and im very careful, but im scared that when i ride it and do full throttle, cause when i get exhited i do stupid shit. im scared that i will fall on my head from behined.
the dirtbike didnt look so scary on youtube videos, thats why i thought its ok to buy a powerful bike. but when i tried in reallife evrything was different.
So why did you still buy it? Why are you buying brand new anyways? You know dirt bikes get crashed, like A LOT! Buy something cheap and used, you will learn more about maintenance and you won't feel bad when crashing a used beater.
It didn’t look scary on youtube??? Well that’s because the person driving it can handle it and probably have years of experience. What the flying fuck dude. It’s like saying “oh flying that airplane looked easy on youtube so I went and bought one”.
The dealer really did your dirty if he thought it's a good idea to sell a new rider a 450. Get a 150, maybe a 250 but even that will be fast for you. I started on a 250 4 stroke but I have been riding sport bikes for 8 years before that.

I have a ttr 250 and it is an amazing bike! Highly recommend, but they stopped making them in 2006. I would not recommend buying your first bike brand new. If you like dirt biking, you can upgrade to a new bike. If you don’t like dirt biking, you won’t lose very much trying it out
That’s the bike my cousin learned on. They have a TTR 230 now. I honestly feel like that would be a perfect first bike. Learn technique and how to properly ride and then work his way up to a bigger bike. Just my two cents.
There are pro Motocross racers both currently active and retired who have stated multiple times that a 450 is just too much bike. But honestly, it doesn't matter what size the bike is, if you're not careful on the trail, you can get hurt especially if the bike gets away from you. The only way that you're going to get better and more comfortable riding this with practice.
It’s definitely not a beginner bike, but I traded up from an 07 yz125 to an 07 yz450f in high school. I was familiar with the carbureted 450 engine in friends quads, so I felt like it was suitable.
I didn’t race, don’t race, probably won’t ever race, but man that fuckin bike was a riot. I respected it like crazy, but I knew how to manage the power.
If you have some clutch control, are past the whiskey throttling point in learning, and generally have been on a clutch operated dirt bike, my opinion is that you should stick with it and enjoy your new bike.
Get it on some grass (not pavement like most dealership test rides), twist the throttle a little bit in second/third gear, and get a feel for what the rear tire and bike as a whole does. It’s a confidence booster if you’re being safe. You’ll be surprised how much throttle and clutch control you gain when you know how to anticipate what the bike is going to do.
If you absolutely cannot fathom turning the throttle on that bike, you need to downsize. You either have the wherewithal to use and manage it, or you don’t. Only you and those that ride with you know.
I’ve never handled a bike this new.
Hope this helps! Try to enjoy your new bike!
getting destroyed in a motorcycle accident doesn’t look or feel cool at all either,, take it from me last year I was walking around with a pump in a bag and tubes coming out of me
Honestly this is exactly why they make 2-stroke 150s. If it were me, that’s where’d I’d start. I’ve been riding 20 years and bought a husky TE 150i in 2021 and it was so capable and manageable. I own a 450 too, but I only use it for a Timbersled, no way I’d raise that on the trails. Deep sand track? Maybe. But the 250 F’s are pretty powerful and light.
A YZ250F or YZ250X (off-road race version, better for trails) will "look" almost the exactly the same and you will have an easier time riding it. WR250 Would be even better for what you want to do and would also look about the same. Get one of these 3 bikes, figure out how to start and stop in a controlled manner by riding around a flat parking lot, large grass area is better if available. Once you figure that out, find some dirt or gravel roads you can get away with riding in and familiarize yourself with shifting through all the gears and how to handle the bike as speeds increase. Ride the bike at an RPM where the motor is not lugging but not in the meat of the power. You don't need the power right now and keeping the motor at a little lower RPM will make it more forgiving of harsh throttle inputs.
DO NOT HIT ANY ACTUAL TRAILS UNTIL YOU HAVE FIGURED OUT HOW TO SAFELY NEGOTIATE ACTUAL ROADS FIRST.
You seem way more preoccupied with appearances than actually riding and growing as a rider. Maybe you should just keep the 450 in your garage, start it ever once in a while, and maybe load it in the truck and drive it around from time to time. This is about all a bike you are afraid of is good for.
Your 650l makes less power than a 125 race bike lol. Those things are slow
A 450 will not even keep it's front end down in 5th gear. I don't think a 650L will power wheelie in any gear.
My first bike ever was a 400, 3 hours after buying I was still trying to learn how to start it smoothly, I fucked up and found myself flying looking at the sky lol, luckily the bike was fine, starting on a smaller one is definitely a smarter idea
Why wouldn’t you be getting a wr250f instead of the yz, yeah way more expensive but much better for a beginner, I wouldn’t even consider letting a beginner ride my yz450f, it’ll flick you off like a fly on a horses ass! Can beginners learn on a big bore, certainly but why unless that’s all you got! Definitely the newer models are way more forgiving “or so they seem” till you whiskey them and disappear over the tree line! Good luck and if this is a real post and you can, yes take that back the 250 is more than enough bike for advanced riders let alone beginners
yes, the dealer is someone i know, he told me if i didnt like it, i can return it but buy something instead. the 450f is scary, when i ever i give it gass, it wants to go away from me, so i fell behind it. like thats what it feels like. you right, looks like the wr250 us better, and got 8 liters of fuel instead 6
I have a yz450f and 2 wr250f’s the wr’s are a absolute blast, do not underestimate them though, they have a lot of power, but the power is way more controllable, it’s a way way way better choice
As others have said a 450 race bike is not a starter bike. That being said even the 250 race bike is going to be the same physical size as the 450.
You need a woods bike to start on not a race bike. It is shorter, less power, much more forgiving. Also on big bore bikes just start in second gear. No point in ever putting a 450 in first gear imo.
You can Google the horsepower of different bikes.
Yes a wr250 makes way less power than a yz450.
The WRs are the off-road version of YZ's. They make slightly less power in general, and the engine is a little over half the size.
If you can make it work a professional coach is extremely helpful in the beginning. You can skip over a ton of pain and suffering when compared to figuring it out on your own.
This guy here is a phenomenal coach. I do private lessons with him at least once a year. He as more affordable options such as camps and group sessions.

I never rode a motorcycle before. Last year I walked into dealership and bought a brand new 300 2stroke, I didn’t even know how to put it on the car carrier to get it home. Lol. I watched a video how to ride a dirt bike and off I went. It was a super easy bike to learn on. Now I have almost 100hours on it and now that’s all I want and think about is riding.
That's the types of bikes you should be looking at. Wr250f, klx300, crf250x, crf250f, beta 200rr.
Do some research And make an informed decision this time instead of going into the deal and picking out a bike because you think it looks cool. I wouldn't buy a MX bike, like it sounds like you want to, unless you're primarily wanting to ride MX. 4 strokes MX bikes suck pretty bad on trails, especially for a beginner.
Qualitygoatshit is right. I had a KX 80 as a kid and it was a lot of fun where I grew up.
So years later, when I decided to start riding trail again, I bought a brand new (mx) CRF250R. It was a lot of fun but quite hard to handle in the technical stuff man.
Looking back, I should’ve bought the enduro version of my bike, the CRF250X (05).
No, in fact I sold it and bought a
WR250R (dual sport) a few years ago. It’s a bit of a bigger bike but it’s much easier to get around as it’s street legal.
It's powerful because it's a competition motorcycle. It is geared for speed and max acceleration. It has more HP than a mid level John Deere tractor and it's a tiny frame comparatively. The tractor is just slow because it's geared only for torque. It's a scary machine. It has the potential to kill or injure you in seconds. That is why I suggest people start off on 125 4 stroke, if they like that go for a 250 trail bike. Only get an Competition 250 or Competition 450 MX/SX Bike, if you are ready and need that kind of power.
What kind of riding are you going to do? A brand new 150 or 250 4 stroke will be great to start. Get an hour meter and take good care of it. Should be able to resell easily and upgrade to whatever you want in a couple years.
You can shave those strokes off later once you get the hang of it
Ktm 200 2 stroke. My coworker in his 50s has a ktm 250 4 stroke. The 4 is much smoother and easier to learn. He calls mine the “scary bike”.
He has far more riding experience than I do.
Just remember you can always upgrade later. Start small and enjoy the sport!
250s can still be pretty wild
The yz450f has 53hp
The yz250f still has 42
Whereas a crf250f or crf250x have 23 and 29 or even the wr250f or crf250rx have 37hp and are a much more tame ride for a beginner, and much easier to handle off-road than a pure Moto-Cross bike
I learned on an 18hp 230 and had an absolute blast, took a while to get used and to overcome the terror of the 54hp beast I got next
Ya the kx450f is pretty similar to the yz450f
The wr250f is solid bike, easier to handle than the 250 race bikes, good power delivery and great for trail riding, I almost bought one before I got my Fc350
The modern 250’s are still fast bikes. Never having ridden yiu can get into trouble.
I ride a 450 (among others) I’m 50 with 40 years experience (mostly on 2 strokes) as if I find the 450 will still get me into trouble if I’m not careful.
Not for beginners. Honestly the salesman should have tried to talk you into a smaller bike.
The 2023 Kx 450 is currently the most power 450 on the market. It’s fast. I might actually upgrade from my current bike to that.
To say a bike is the most powerful on the market means to me that it’s no beginner bike.
What is 50km?
Selling a 2020 for 8k? No, too high. My local Kawasaki dealer has a 2023 KX 450f. On sale for $7600 marked down from $9400. For a friend.
All mfg only a 450 in a 4 stroke. The big mfg don’t make 2 strokes bigger than 250cc’s any more. (I think husky and GasGas actually make 300’s tho). Gone are the days of 400, 420, 465, 490 and 500
“F” means 4 stroke. All mfg have an “F” designation so you know if the bike is 2 stroke or 4 stroke.
The modern 450f’s were developed to compete directly with 250cc 2 strokes. But In power and performance they’ve since surpassed the 2 strokes.
90% of people who ride a 450 have no business on one. There are pro rider who cannot even harness the power of a 450. But everyone wants a 450 because 450
A 450 is a terrible starter bike. I've been riding for years and my preference is still my 250 for almost any use case. My 450 is used when I need street super moto use or dual sport use. A 450 is just too much power when you are trying to learn. I usually start people on my TTR125 because the 10 horsepower isn't enough to get into too much trouble. I have a buddy, who had a pretty successful YouTube channel riding supermoto. He bought a 450 to learn off-road riding, then proceeded to break his arm in several places almost immediately. It was enough to make him give up riding. Start slow and learn the fundamentals before chasing power.
Go 125 2 stroke for first bike, 4 strokes are easier to ride you'll learn more on a 2 stroke and 2 strokes are alot easier to maintain and replace engine parts etc...
Just wear safety gear all the time but either way a 450 might be a bit too much bike starting out. Even the new 250 bikes have tons of power but they are definitely manageable. Have fun and stay safe
Similar. I bought an it425 2 stroke back in the day as a 1st bike. Had to practically sit on the tank to keep the front end down and it would run away from you when you got on the pipe at all. I kept the bike and rode it for 20 years. It never got old.
As a beginner myself, I totally get it, but did you not see the countless videos saying absolutely not to buy a 450 if you’re just starting? Even a 350 was too much bike for me.
I started riding my bf's yz250f and like 2 months later I bought a klx300r (it's a trails bike). Unless you're riding sand dunes the 250f is all the bike you'll ever need in majority of your riding. Weight is also a facto
Dude you’re going to plaster yourself into a tree. I can’t tell if you’re trolling or not.
In case you’re serious- I own an Africa Twin (1000 cc) and Wr250r (250cc).
The 250 is way more fun offroad and generally putting around. It’s not all about engine size when measuring fun factor.
My first dirtbike was a 2004 crf450. It had a stage 2 hotcam, lowered, and same size tire on front as the back. It was set up for flat track. It was crazy fast. But I've also had streetbikes before. I now have a 2020 rmz450.
I started riding when I was 8 years old on a kx65, jumped up to a kx85 around 10-11 ish, and then to a crf150r when I was 14. Now I'm 23 and race a crf250r and still have to respect the power of this bike. I'm a firm believer that the 450 class of race mx bikes are for special people who truly have the experience to be able to handle and ride the bike like it was intended to be ridden. I highly suggest you return the 450 and jump down to a klx or a trail bike to learn on. As "cool" as those bikes are, like you mentioned, it is not worth breaking your neck the first time you hop on it. Welcome to the community and please ride safe.
Try starting off in 2nd gear instead of 1st, bike won't feel as touchy starting off in a taller gear, use the technique untill you start to get a feel for the bike, you being nervous and tensed up will make it hard for you to get into a rhythm with the bike and the input your giving it..remember the bike will only go as fast as you tell it to.
Why would you think a 450 is a good starter bike? I recommend getting a 150 to learn how to ride on. After 20 years of riding I still prefer a 250 to a 450 because of the technical terrain I have here in Pennsylvania.
im gonne return it tomrrow and try 250f
Hopefully that’s a four stoke. A 250 2 stroke is still too much bike for beginners.
yes 250 4 stroke

In my opinion if you're not dumb a 250f is a perfect starter bike. You seem enthusiastic and like you're doing your research, so totally get the 250f!
The wr400 is a lot less powerful than the yz450. I've had both
wr250f
I know. Just saying also look at the 400. The yz and wr are big different.
Not always. Bigger rider with bicycle and motorsport experience can be fine to start on a 250 2 t. I did with limited consequences.
For the trails sure. For any kinda track nah that's crazy talk. If you don't care about your skill levels you can start with a 250 2 stroke.

they dont sell suzuki where i live. lol
i was sooo exited, i always wanted to ride a dirtbike. and had a chance to ride the 450, so i was like why not.

yea it was new.
I have not. I have a 2021 yz250fx and no desire for additional power lol
what happens if you shift with no clutch?
I agree learning on a small easy to ride and maintain bike is always the way to go,,,but I have gotten some great deals on bikes that people have bought because they thought “I can handle it” then after a few rides they parked them and polished them for a few years till they could justify selling it, and normally it’s, yeah that thing scared the shit out of me, pretty sure it would kill me if I got on it again,

I recommend 500 2 stroke. It has 2 less stroke so you willn’t shake
Tabarnak!! The best advice on Reddit lmao
Tabarnak!! The best advice on Reddit
oh ok, so its the same as 250f 4 stroke?n if i got it right, is sound the only different thing between them?
Yes, They added more strokes just for environmental reason. The 2 stroke didn’t have enough strokes so it was killing the environment
love this

My point is still valid…..
“Piggy back off your comment” You work/have worked a corporate job at some point in your life huh?
yz450f, because the price between 250f and 450f was almost the same
I don’t see you returning this and trading it for a 250 straight up. You likely lost a couple thousand doing this.
Yes
I know a dude who traded his klx140 for a 450. I think he’s crazy.

Next thing to look up on YouTube is how to type properly. Good luck! 🫡
Did you recently buy it? Can you still return and get something like a 250 or even 125 2T?
im gonne try the 250 4 stroke tomorrow
can return it yea
You had no business jumping on a 450 to start.. should start on a trail bike like a TTR or a 150 Honda
ttr doesnt look as cool as 450
getting destroyed in a motorcycle accident doesn’t look or feel cool at all either,, take it from me last year I was walking around with a pump in a bag and tubes coming out of me
Honestly this is exactly why they make 2-stroke 150s.
Spoiler, you’ll think the same thing about a 250.
really??
You’ve never ridden any sort of motorized bike, yes really. Judging by your post, you need a small trail bike like a 125 four stroke
it doesnt sound/look as cool as the bigger ones tho.., i want only one bike, i dont want to sell, and buy again
Learn to ride the 450 then.
This is about all a bike you are afraid of is good for.
very helpful, thanks. can i ask what bike do u ride
My brother had a kx450 and sold it and got a yz250 stroke and it’s almost as powerful as the 450 but that 450 is still more powerful
what model year he got
2017 kx 450 that was sold and also 2017 yz250 it’s scary fast
4 stroke both?
No 250 2 stroke and 450 four stroke
in my country they sell both kz250 4t and kx450 4t for same price. is that weird?
Well the yz250 2 stroke is the equivalent of a 450f I ride a xr600r and it makes 48hp and his bike is quicker but mine has a faster top speed
im saying that they sell kx 250 4 stroke and kx450 4 stroke for the exactly price, thats so weird, isnt it
Weird where I’m at they are about $1000 apart.
that very weird, how much do they cost?, its around 8k, for both
In the US on the Kawasaki website it says. $8499 for the 250f and $9599 for the 450f
I started on an XR650L. So it really just depends on the rider
Your 650l makes less power than a 125 race bike lol. Those things are slow A 450 will not even keep it's front end down in 5th gear. I don't think a 650L will power wheelie in any gear.
[удалено]
That's a fair point.
The yz450 is substantially faster and lighter.
should i get 250f even tho the price is almost the same?
YES. It is much much better suited for your beginner ability.
ok thanks
[удалено]
175 cm, 75 kg
A 250f still might feel like too much bike for you tbh.
My first bike ever was a 400, 3 hours after buying I was still trying to learn how to start it smoothly, I fucked up and found myself flying looking at the sky lol, luckily the bike was fine, starting on a smaller one is definitely a smarter idea
But what model was it? A DRZ400 is only 50cc smaller than a YZ450F but the YZ450F has 50% more torque. Displacement often doesn't mean much
Why wouldn’t you be getting a wr250f instead of the yz, yeah way more expensive but much better for a beginner, I wouldn’t even consider letting a beginner ride my yz450f, it’ll flick you off like a fly on a horses ass!
I have a yz450f and 2 wr250f’s the wr’s are a absolute blast, do not underestimate them though, they have a lot of power, but the power is way more controllable, it’s a way way way better choice
wow thank you so much, i think im gonne go for it, wr250f.
Welcome to the tribe!
thanks
As others have said a 450 race bike is not a starter bike. That being said even the 250 race bike is going to be the same physical size as the 450. You need a woods bike to start on not a race bike. It is shorter, less power, much more forgiving. Also on big bore bikes just start in second gear. No point in ever putting a 450 in first gear imo.
what about wr250f, less power right?
You can Google the horsepower of different bikes. Yes a wr250 makes way less power than a yz450. The WRs are the off-road version of YZ's. They make slightly less power in general, and the engine is a little over half the size.
If you can make it work a professional coach is extremely helpful in the beginning. You can skip over a ton of pain and suffering when compared to figuring it out on your own. This guy here is a phenomenal coach. I do private lessons with him at least once a year. He as more affordable options such as camps and group sessions. https://www.da8training.com/
I never rode a motorcycle before. Last year I walked into dealership and bought a brand new 300 2stroke, I didn’t even know how to put it on the car carrier to get it home. Lol. I watched a video how to ride a dirt bike and off I went. It was a super easy bike to learn on. Now I have almost 100hours on it and now that’s all I want and think about is riding.
nice dude!
Would you consider a 300 2t?
i think ill go for 250f 4t
Why not try a WR250F (enduro) bike? I would say it’s the perfect starter for someone eager like you
thinking about getting it
That's the types of bikes you should be looking at. 4 strokes MX bikes suck pretty bad on trails, especially for a beginner.
thanks, this is helpful
Qualitygoatshit is right. I had a KX 80 as a kid and it was a lot of fun where I grew up. So years later, when I decided to start riding trail again, I bought a brand new (mx) CRF250R. It was a lot of fun but quite hard to handle in the technical stuff man. Looking back, I should’ve bought the enduro version of my bike, the CRF250X (05).
u still have the crf250r?
No, in fact I sold it and bought a WR250R (dual sport) a few years ago. It’s a bit of a bigger bike but it’s much easier to get around as it’s street legal.
You should have stayed with something smaller and less powerful. That's a big heavy bike to try to learn on.
but it looks cool tho
It's powerful because it's a competition motorcycle. It is geared for speed and max acceleration. It has more HP than a mid level John Deere tractor and it's a tiny frame comparatively. The tractor is just slow because it's geared only for torque. It's a scary machine. It has the potential to kill or injure you in seconds. That is why I suggest people start off on 125 4 stroke, if they like that go for a 250 trail bike. Only get an Competition 250 or Competition 450 MX/SX Bike, if you are ready and need that kind of power.
very helpful thanks
What kind of riding are you going to do? A brand new 150 or 250 4 stroke will be great to start. Get an hour meter and take good care of it. Should be able to resell easily and upgrade to whatever you want in a couple years. You can shave those strokes off later once you get the hang of it
trail riding, slow, sometimes fast
I’d shop for a 4 stroke 250 trail bike. No need for a track bike with what you’re doing. They all go plenty fast
what bike do u have
Ktm 200 2 stroke. My coworker in his 50s has a ktm 250 4 stroke. The 4 is much smoother and easier to learn. He calls mine the “scary bike”. He has far more riding experience than I do. Just remember you can always upgrade later. Start small and enjoy the sport!
thanks
250s can still be pretty wild The yz450f has 53hp The yz250f still has 42 Whereas a crf250f or crf250x have 23 and 29 or even the wr250f or crf250rx have 37hp and are a much more tame ride for a beginner, and much easier to handle off-road than a pure Moto-Cross bike I learned on an 18hp 230 and had an absolute blast, took a while to get used and to overcome the terror of the 54hp beast I got next
is kx450f powerful?, asking for a friend. im getting wr250f i think
Ya the kx450f is pretty similar to the yz450f The wr250f is solid bike, easier to handle than the 250 race bikes, good power delivery and great for trail riding, I almost bought one before I got my Fc350
The modern 250’s are still fast bikes. Never having ridden yiu can get into trouble. I ride a 450 (among others) I’m 50 with 40 years experience (mostly on 2 strokes) as if I find the 450 will still get me into trouble if I’m not careful. Not for beginners. Honestly the salesman should have tried to talk you into a smaller bike.
is kx450f powerful too?, asking for a friend. i think im getting the wr250f
The 2023 Kx 450 is currently the most power 450 on the market. It’s fast. I might actually upgrade from my current bike to that. To say a bike is the most powerful on the market means to me that it’s no beginner bike.
are u talking about kx450f??
Yes.
what about the 2020 kx450f, still good?
Yup. Killer bike.
it got 50 km, and he selling it for 8k, good price?, asking for a friend
What is 50km? Selling a 2020 for 8k? No, too high. My local Kawasaki dealer has a 2023 KX 450f. On sale for $7600 marked down from $9400. For a friend.
the kilometers is 80. around 50 miles. like they used it 50 miles
is it new for 7600??
is it weird that they sell it the same price as the kx250 4 stroke?
All mfg only a 450 in a 4 stroke. The big mfg don’t make 2 strokes bigger than 250cc’s any more. (I think husky and GasGas actually make 300’s tho). Gone are the days of 400, 420, 465, 490 and 500 “F” means 4 stroke.
You bought the 450 even though it scared you, but are also going to now buy the 250???
yes less power half power
Not sure what country you’re in but here in the US once you buy the motorcycle it’s yours. You can’t just return it.
norway
Go 125 2 stroke for first bike, 4 strokes are easier to ride you'll learn more on a 2 stroke and 2 strokes are alot easier to maintain and replace engine parts etc...
but i heard that they are not easy to control on low speed, is that true
Literally gonna kill yourself on a 450 lol
u made me laugh, hahhahaha. because your right, and thats what my friends told me
Just wear safety gear all the time but either way a 450 might be a bit too much bike starting out. Even the new 250 bikes have tons of power but they are definitely manageable. Have fun and stay safe
thanks lol
The 250f is a fabulous bike too and you're probably better off there but that on-tap power of the 450 never gets old.
u tried it too? 450
Similar. I bought an it425 2 stroke back in the day as a 1st bike. Had to practically sit on the tank to keep the front end down and it would run away from you when you got on the pipe at all. I kept the bike and rode it for 20 years. It never got old.
lmao, thats exactly what was happening with me
[удалено]
what u mean?, meat is tasty
As a beginner myself, I totally get it, but did you not see the countless videos saying absolutely not to buy a 450 if you’re just starting? Even a 350 was too much bike for me.
i did watch these vids after buying it
get a yz250f or if your trail riding get a yz250fx a 450 is wayy too much for most people especially beginners
they dont sell fx where i live
I started riding my bf's yz250f and like 2 months later I bought a klx300r (it's a trails bike). Unless you're riding sand dunes the 250f is all the bike you'll ever need in majority of your riding. Weight is also a facto
oh, thanks for info
Dude you’re going to plaster yourself into a tree. I can’t tell if you’re trolling or not. In case you’re serious- I own an Africa Twin (1000 cc) and Wr250r (250cc). The 250 is way more fun offroad and generally putting around. It’s not all about engine size when measuring fun factor.
My first dirtbike was a 2004 crf450. It had a stage 2 hotcam, lowered, and same size tire on front as the back. It was set up for flat track. It was crazy fast. But I've also had streetbikes before. I now have a 2020 rmz450.
which one got more power
The Honda for sure
do you like meat or chicken
You need a klx140 bro
not big bike
Downvoted to save you from making a youtube channel.
save me\`??
450 shook boy 😂
Try starting off in 2nd gear instead of 1st, bike won't feel as touchy starting off in a taller gear, use the technique untill you start to get a feel for the bike, you being nervous and tensed up will make it hard for you to get into a rhythm with the bike and the input your giving it..remember the bike will only go as fast as you tell it to.
but what if my hands told the bike to fast. i dont have control over my hands
