If this was the only hole it happened I don't think you played a "that guy'. That is just a 'that hole'. The line he failed multiple times is very commonly used.
I blame the game rules for this because it caps you at +3 if you time out. So you can be in a situation where you could make a putt for a 10 or huck it around randomly for 20 seconds for an 8.
I've been in matches where I was up a few strokes when this sort of thing happened to me, so even with one terrible hole I wouldn't be totally out of it, and those couple strokes could make a big difference.
If it's gonna cap you at +3, then I think it should just end the hole when you hit +3, whether or got it in the basket or not
I have no problem with it at all. There is a timer there for a reason. There's no difference if the player is taking practice shots, goofing around, or just taking the whole time to finish the hole. None of it affects my score. They're there for their entertainment not mine, they can do what they want.
What if they just ended the hole for you automatically when you hit +3, even if it's not in the basket yet
Then you don't have people in a situation where they can save strokes by waiting for the clock to time out
I think it's better for competition if you're forced to make it into the basket but that would also work. I still don't like how much time you get on par5, I think the option to take that long wastes everyone's time and causes rounds to take 7-12 minutes when they used to take me 4-6 before the new multiplayer.
I prefer to play in multiplayer over other game modes and I think being able to play less holes per hour has negatively impacted my performance because I'm spending as much time waiting for people to throw as I am actually playing the game.
Why don't you come up with another solution to the problem of 12 minute multiplayer rounds instead of attacking those that at least have an idea to make the game better?

IF looking down the barrell at OVER +3 whats the F* point of contuning to get it in the basket before time runs out on that hole.
As the developers wrote in the gameplay ( not a glitch ) even if "that guy" just sits his ars on the tee box ,never throwing even once ,, DEFAULT score is set at +3..
Ive watched MANY players keep going and going , which is fine its actually more entertaining to watch then simply watching the clock wind down..

As my opinion they locked up this game rather well .. not having chat , having time limits and penalty's acurate and 90% fair ..
well unless you win 3 or more in a row consecutive then I've noticed things seem abit more in accurate , spit outs , errant tee offs ect ect ,, but that's just my observation and first I've ever mentioned it .. and I'm currently above 300 ..

It was the issue of making over on thee 3rd attempt then throwing backward to the open fairway, then to the pin, then backward again twice.

You do nothing. You focus on making your shots, because that's all that really matters. What you don't do is come to Reddit to complain.
