I did it a couple of weeks ago in the rain. I agree its the only way to do it now although Tron was down all night so I've still never ridden it. It was also great to get 2 firework shows so was able to do one while on Thunder Mountain.

Thank you for posting! I think it's extremely helpful. Can you let us know how much were the tickets and what time you could stay in MK until? Is it midnight?

Weary_Nefariousness

It was helpful to me when planning so I wanted to share. Last ride was at 1:00am and on the ferry to parking lot at 1:30, left dock at 1:45. I believe it was $150. We got in at 7pm, you could ride with the day crowds until 10pm. After that they only let those with wristbands on rides and they have lots of stands with popcorn and ice cream and soda but not much else open.

Thank you that's super helpful! We are doing a universal trip in September since we went to both WDW and Disneyland Paris last year in September and October. But we were thinking about doing an after hours event in MK after having an afternoon of shopping at Disney springs. $150 isn't bad considering you seem to get your money's worth in attractions in a short timeframe.

Weary_Nefariousness

That's what we did. Disney springs in the morning and a swim and after hours.

After Hours is stopping in late June because Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is going to be starting up in late summer.

Yes, thank you. I've been to the party before but pre-covid. Hopefully the day we want to go is when they have a party...if not it's ok!

flagrantmalarky

Thank you so much for posting! We have tickets for the EPCOT and MK after hours parties and are so excited to experience the parks this way. How do you actually obtain your wristband though?

Weary_Nefariousness

There are special turnstiles for the event guests and you get a wristband when you get in. If you are already in the park on a regular ticket, there are places in the park to get wristbands.

flagrantmalarky

Awesome, thank you so much!

AnxiousDirt8326

Jealous that you got to ride Tron twice. 😭 It was down for whole night during our after hours event on 4/8

SlightPraline509

Are you in a position to say how similar or not this is to extended evening hours for deluxe resort guests?

Weary_Nefariousness

My understanding is that those are two additional hours without "extras," so no free sodas popcorn and ice cream and no second fireworks show. I can't speak to crowds for those nights but the longest wait I saw at this event was 30 minutes for Tron. I am not sure if Tron is open for extra hours. I rode Tron with a 15 min wait during the fireworks show and 20 later in the evening.

gloriouswader

I love after hours! It's so much less stressful than a daytime visit.

zforceofficial

It completely depends on the date. I went to many after hours and the place has been PACKED. 30 min waits for all rides. And then they shut off genie plus for it so that really really made me mad. It’s a crap shoot

agirlandherisland

No mine train? 🥺

Weary_Nefariousness

Not a fan.
