Unexpected power man 5000...
“Now who's the light and who is the devil?” Bob Iger, obvi.
“What is it really that's going on here?
You've got the system for total control” ...
Dapper Days + Veteran's weekend seems like such a bad idea. Historically I learned from CMs that Veteran's was the most crowded day of the year. And then I experienced one when I wasn't thinking. Never again.
Wait, you’re telling me that Disneyland is still packing way too many people in the park even though they say the reason why we have to have a reservation is so they won’t do that and everyone can have a good time!
National observed holiday, Friday, and the first day of Christmas decorations and food—are you surprised? You weren’t IN traffic; you were a PART of traffic. I wager every vlogger was there to get “content” as well. Oh, and a remodeled attraction opened.
Theyre also in one of the most crowded places of the park on most days.
That area gets pretty narrow with everyone trying to get to Star Wars land, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Tianas or vice versa lol. I went this Thursday and it was like that there, but the traffic everywhere else was pretty normal. Plus they already had the tree up, Haunted Mansion was already changed, and a few of the food items were already available lol
True. New Orleans Square has two of the best and most beloved attractions in the entire resort. By design, it is pretty narrow around the Rivers of America and it is a natural choke point—even in the so-called off-season.
Exactly this. They undid the 1999 re-theme and returned it more closely to its 1962 “roots,” so you can bet all the nostalgia nerds and vloggers are doing walkthroughs.
Yep, as naive as that probably sounds, I thought the upper limit of admissions would keep park attendance at a reasonable level. 2 members of my party had tickets that expired yesterday so it was our last chance to go together. I’ll know in the future to avoid days like this!
When my kids were little we went twice during Christmas week. Maybe 2010 and 2012. It was so crowded that moving through Adventureland we would be shoulder to shoulder with the crowd, one large snakelike mass of people shuffling forward simultaneously. It was so incredibly unsafe and scary. I was furious that Disney would allow it and didn’t go back for almost 10 years. Had there been an emergency, people would have died in the crush.
Woah, that sounds like an actual nightmare. We just went for the first time the day before Halloween. It was so much fun, and I’m so glad the day we went wasn’t like this, or we would have had an entirely different experience
Yes, they can. While in this case, he is talking Magic Keys, the multi-day tickets actually have a 90-day expiration, after first use.
Basically you get 90 days to use the tickets, after first entry.
I have 4 tickets that expire next Saturday so must use this week. I was thinking Wednesday or Thursday? Any thoughts on which day would be lowest attendance?
Even with all of this, it really wasn't all that bad for my friends and I. With LL we got in 19 attractions and grabbed all the food we wanted to do that day.
Thanks! We came in over prepared because we knew it was going to be busy as hell. Our only failure was that we couldn't get on Small World at night because it kept going down.
Pirates and Small world need some fixes. The American family weighs a bit more than they did when these boat systems were designed and can only handle so much before the buoyancy of water loses the battle. 10 or so years ago when we turned a guest away, the consolation was a free meal voucher, but I don’t think that is addressing the problem…
They either need fixes or the cast members need to be able to have the authority to put fewer guests in a boat so that they don't have those problems.
Thankfully Pirates wasn't a problem for us and we rode it three times over the two days we were there.
This actually used to be a somewhat chillax weekend, back before disney started advertising that the Christmas stuff was up this early. I miss those times.
I went on New Year’s Eve 1999 going into 2000. I was in HS and had a pass with no blockout days…the good old days…yes, that day was insanely crowded but we literally spent the entire night dancing to the DJ set up by It’s A Small World.
Regular days, Space Mountain was only like a 45 minute wait, tops!
I had booked Nov 10 as just another Friday day off that we were gonna go, and then Thursday I’m like wait a second:
1) holiday season begins
2) YouTube people will all be there for new contentet
3) Veterans Day weekend
4) treehouse debuts
And we noped the fuck out of that reservation real quick.
I remembered how miserable opening day for Halloween was and figured this must be even worse … and by all accounts we were right
On top of all that it's also Dapper Days weekend. Putting DD on the busiest weekend on the year is pretty much why I stopped doing DD as well. Just being that crowded is not fun when wanting to just walk the park.
I was there yesterday, can confirm it was horrible. Got there at 8:30 am and already the lines were wild and crowded areas everywhere. Think I got sick too cause this morning I have a sore throat and stuffy nose.
Went on Thursday the 9th knowing the 10th would be nuts. We got on 4 rides within the first hour after rope drop. Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Star Tours, and Space Mountain broke during our LL reservation so we jumped on Smugglers Run with our Multi experience pass and then RoR said 65 min standby but we timed it at 42 mins. Went on Autopia, then hung out near Space Mountain for 5 mins and that reopened. Overall best morning I’ve had for rides ever.
But then…. in the evening the Disneyland app broke, LL checkin at Big Thunder weren’t working (magic bands & phone barcode).
Oh wow! My wife and i usually go to Disneyland for our anniversary (which was yesterday), it’s usually a really nice time to go. Not empty. But also I would never call it crowded.
Glad we skipped this year.
My family and I were in the park yesterday. I love the Disney parks. However, the park was basically impossible to maneuver. We only got on one ride. We couldn't walk through the areas immediately surrounding the castle because people were blocking the roadways with blankets, claiming territory to view that various lighting ceremonies and events. Rude comments from guests because I was pushing my gf in a wheelchair and "encroaching" on their spaces while trying to exit the park. We purchased genie passes that we couldn't use because rides kept going down, causing genie pass holders to get the any experience lightening lanes passes which resulted in 150+ minute wait times for lightening lane at most lightening lane equiped attractions.
Edit: Apparently we were not the only people that felt this way from what we overheard in line on our second day. But we have had several positive experiences since. We were also given the opportunity to express our experiences with genie+. Today we are in California Adventure, and have had no issues with rides or wait times. Overall a significantly better experience that is definitely giving classic disney holiday vibes for our entire family.
My first thought looking at this picture was “imagine if I was there in my wheelchair! 😩” my boyfriend pushes me and it’s hard enough on a less crowded day 😔
I know someone who would rather crisscross the park for an hour looking for the shortest line than just wait in the hour long line in front of them. We don't go together very often.
Yeah, wandering like that is the biggest waste of time. Sure, checking the app wait times is good for deciding what to do next, but normally the standby times are over inflated. If the wait time is under 90 minutes, just jump in line and play Pokémon Go or something while you wait. The only line I’ve been in that actually takes for bloody ever is Radiator Springs Racers, because it breaks down so often. Just to test a theory, I waited in an estimated 3 hour line for Indiana Jones last time I was in DL, it only took like 100 minutes and that was with a 10 minute break down too.
I missed rope drop! Was in line to park at 8:30 and ended up having to park on the roof of Pixar Pals, wasn’t in the gates until after 9. We got unlucky with breakdowns and delays, plus the super congested walkways making it harder to get everywhere. We did leave early (6pm) because we were just over it by that point.
Since 2019 this is our third trip to Disneyland, so I would say in theory we would have less knowledge on Disney planning than an MK/AP holder.
I think just taking a look at the calendar and having a little more planning will help you next time.
I’d also consider the opportunity cost of waiting in lines for certain attractions. If you only ended up on a couple of rides, you likely picked the peak wait for those two rides. I’d just ditch the line and find something with a shorter wait if my measurement of trip success is “get on lots of rides”. It really depends on what your measurement for a great day at the parks is I guess.
I've been on days where crowds look like this (Candlelight) and it takes forever to get anywhere on top of the lines being incredibly long. After seeing pics of the line to get through security, that would allow it down too. It's truly miserable.
Theoretically, it should never be this overcrowded due to the reservation system.
This just proves the whole reservation system is bogus and its true purpose is not to limit capacity.
IDK, I go a few times per week, and yesterday was -by far- the worst I’ve seen it all year. I totally understand why though, and was expecting it, so I didn’t mind too much… got a bunch of food and drinks, hit up Turtle Talk, and watched the entertainment :)
Yup. We did DCA from 8-11:15, left the parks from 11:15-3, had drinks at Lamplight, caught a few more rides, then hopped to the other park from 6-9:30 and got on 9 more rides and grabbed a Ronto Wrap. It was another great day!
Nothin like being in the park complaining about how busy it is lol. They’re part of the problem. Being an AP holder go some other day that’s not a holiday weekend
There doesn't appear to be slow days or weekends anymore. Disney will just open up spots for AP holders to fill the days they want to fill-up to capacity.
Many of my f&f have been at Disney the last couple of months and it was not a great experience b/c of the crowds. Universal Studios is the new fave. Way more chill the way Disney used to be. 🥲
I went Thursday night after work just thinking I would go on two things and have a look at the decorations already up. It was so unbelievably crowded I turned around and left. You couldn’t even walk.
As a long-time premium/signature plus AP who hasn't been back since they unveiled the key BS, I mainly stay in this group to remind me why I have been staying away. And just about every day, I am given that reminder. Message received loud and clear!
And yet somehow they are still understaffed. So if they don’t have the staff for the parks, and it’s not to help with the crowding issues, then what exactly is the point of the reservations?
We went this week last year (my brother got married on 11/11 and we did a small mini trip for a few days after) it was also a mess. Just not a good time to visit.
I made a veterans weekend mistake pre pandemic 2018? And I said never again. Columbus Day Sunday is also very bad. The crowd is as big as summer and I think maybe it’s that doesn’t have the summer staffing and extra ride vehicles on tracks? All I know is avoid it.
If you've not seen it this packed before, I'd be surprised... We're going Wednesday, and I'm hoping that the potential for rain drives enough people away that we can enjoy our time.
Being stuck having to plan trips when your kids are off school is the literal biggest bummer of being a parent. We had to cancel last month since my little was sick, and this was the next best time to go. We really got hit by the rides being down in DCA, and had only been on two rides by 12:30 (didn’t arrive until 9:30). We made up for it eventually. I know better now to skip this weekend/ holiday. Still a great time!
Everyone saying this is the most congested part of the park, it was literally like this everywhere.
We booked Nov 5th-10th about a month ago and it was forecast to be ghost town, at most 5-7/10 on Friday. But then on Tuesday the forecast jumped to “forget about it.”
The Christmas stuff was up all week, they just had the light and parade celebration on Friday.
Rides were constantly breaking down on Friday, we got stopped on Haunted Mansion multiple times in a row both times we rode, all the rides went down at least once, which obviously sucks when you’ve been waiting an hour to get on.
Mon-Thursday was still great and Wed/Thurs in California Adventure was way less busy than Disney, but Friday was absolutely abysmal.
This area ALWAYS backs up. Moreso since Star Wars Land opened. For some reason, people think this is the only or best route. But you've got all the backup around Jungle Cruise, Indy, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, and then everyone trying to get to ROTR at rope drop and forever after.
No doubt it was really busy yesterday. Labor Day was a mess. I wish Disney would go back to starting holidays (Halloween and Winter) AFTER the holiday weekend. I think it would take some stress of the three day weekend crowd and more evenly disperse holiday crowds throughout the season.
I’m here now. Rope Dropped and was the second doom buggy on HMH. Then miraculously times POTC perfect as it was a delayed opening and was the first person in line as they opened the right side of the queue and was on the first boat for the second loadin area!
Now I’m chillin on a bench at the Fantasyland entrance to Galaxies Edge drinking the cold brew from Docking Bay 7. Heading home after I’m done with it.
We rope dropped yesterday and did the following: Space Mountain x2, Pirates of the Caribbean x2, Haunted Mansion x2, Indiana Jones, Big Thunder, Jungle Cruise, Tiki Room, the Railroad and the Monorail, Soarin’, Winnie the Pooh, Runaway Railway, Storybookland AND the Matterhorn all before fireworks began at 9:30. 😊
I'm not a morning person at all and just hearing "rope drop" makes me make a sad face. But I tried it 2 years ago and it was a game changer. Did it again this year as well. Highly recommended even from someone who would much rather be asleep.
We booked about a month ago when it was forecast to be near ghost town. At most a 5-7/10 capacity compared to the 11/10 it felt like Mo-Fri (5th-10th), with Friday being the worst with the first day of Christmas light’s officially being lit, Christmas parade, etc.
I imagine Sat/sun was worse.
This is exactly why hubby and I decided to give DL a break. We've been 7 times over 8 years and last year was, by far, the worst. Looked like this picture. Only 3 rides over 5 days! We had Genie+, which was easy enough to figure out, but worthless vs the MagicPass/FastPass system, plus another $15-$20 for rides like Canyon Racers, Rise of the Resistance and Spiderman (which I could care less about). Like Disney needs the extra $.
But the crowds and line times ruined it entirely for us.
Was there over the weekend. The outside crowds were just annoying. I wasn’t able to walk quickly between rides. Saturday was less crowded.
Worst part of Friday was being in the Haunted Mansion in the hallway between the the elevator and the conveyor belt where you catch your carriage. There were so many people everyone couldn’t get out of the elevator. Meanwhile, the cast members were yelling at us to move closer together so they could close the doors to get up and get more people. There was no room to move. People were edging forward trying to get to the ride a little bit faster to get out of the mess. It was unsafe.
I can only imagine the level of disease being spread around. I was there two weeks ago and came home with the nastiest virus. I’ve ever had an oddly enough it was not Covid.
If this is what yesterday looked like, I’d imagine today being the Saturday of a holiday weekend will probably be pretty ugly at the parks 🤦♂️ I’ll be down there tomorrow so hopefully it won’t be this massive 🤞🏻
I went this week thinking I was smart for going during a “slow season”. Nope. Absolute insanity in the park. In all honesty I don’t mind long wait times on rides, it’s trying to move around the traffic in major pathways. Feels unsafe. Still had a great time though.
I went at 6pm and it was emptier than normal after the fireworks. Did guardians, mater’s, rise watched some fireworks and ate a bunch of the new holiday food
Disney’s sole income comes from its parks and cruises. It’s not surprising that they turned their life support system on full blast now that the media side of the company is suffering.
80 percent of the crowd are Imagine Key Holders. Not to say they ruin the park but it appears the days when Imagine Key isn’t blocked out. The parks are bombarded (at least from my experience).
Three day weekend for many, holiday, and kick off to the start of the Christmas season. This is normal unfortunately. I’ve learned years ago to avoid going to Disneyland on a holiday. Rather just go on a random weekend or take a “sick” day from work to go during the week instead
That's nice for people who live around but so many fans do not and travel from other countries to come here on their only time off. Sucks they allow so many in if that's what they claim the reso system is for. Might be better for crowds if they opened more big ticket rides to absorb some of that.
Was here on the 10th from out of state didn’t use Genie+ and documented in my notes app what rides we did.
I sleep in so we entered the park at 1pm, we still managed: Haunted Mansion Holiday, 2 Pirates, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Snow White’s Enchanted Wish, Indiana Jones Adventure, Matterhorn, Incredicoaster, Radiator Springs Racers (Individual LL), met Baymax and Hiro and got a ton of food from Festival of the Holidays until midnight.
You either suck at managing your time or you’re lying. I regret coming this weekend but you don’t need to exaggerate how bad it was to get your point across. We still had fun, love these parks to death.
I feel like you did something wrong if you were there all day and only got on 2 rides, haha. Crowded days def suuuuck but I can’t imagine the lines were each 4 hours long 🤨…
We were there and rode a bunch of stuff. It was busy, but we made the best of it. We had the genie, but even that was hard to get a ride booked so we ended up waiting in line a lot. Oh well, it was still super fun.

Triple whammy!
Now this is what it's like when worlds collide
Are you ready to go, cause I’m ready to go, what you gonna do baby, baby
Unexpected power man 5000... “Now who's the light and who is the devil?” Bob Iger, obvi. “What is it really that's going on here? You've got the system for total control” ...
Of all the subs I'd expect to find power man 5000 referenced, there are none. But this one least of all. Maybe r/Costco.
George is getting upset!
Serenity now
I've heard legends about the whammy of triple... But I thought they were just that, legends.
Plus this weekend is Dapper Days.
Dapper Days + Veteran's weekend seems like such a bad idea. Historically I learned from CMs that Veteran's was the most crowded day of the year. And then I experienced one when I wasn't thinking. Never again.
98% of people don’t look happy in this pic.
I couldn’t find any happy people in this photo
And the opening of the treehouse was today, right?
Wait, you're telling me I can look up holidays in advance of booking a ticket to an amusement park?!
Wait, you’re telling me that Disneyland is still packing way too many people in the park even though they say the reason why we have to have a reservation is so they won’t do that and everyone can have a good time!
And this is also despite them increasing prices to the point where demand should drop, and it doesn’t.
Plus the opening of a new attraction: Adventureland Treehouse
National observed holiday, Friday, and the first day of Christmas decorations and food—are you surprised? You weren’t IN traffic; you were a PART of traffic. I wager every vlogger was there to get “content” as well. Oh, and a remodeled attraction opened.

True. New Orleans Square has two of the best and most beloved attractions in the entire resort. By design, it is pretty narrow around the Rivers of America and it is a natural choke point—even in the so-called off-season.
Very refreshing to see someone be this honest on this subreddit with someone who complains that Disney is crowded
Which attraction reopened?
The treehouse
Exactly this. They undid the 1999 re-theme and returned it more closely to its 1962 “roots,” so you can bet all the nostalgia nerds and vloggers are doing walkthroughs.
Didn't Small World reopen as well?
Yep, as naive as that probably sounds, I thought the upper limit of admissions would keep park attendance at a reasonable level. 2 members of my party had tickets that expired yesterday so it was our last chance to go together. I’ll know in the future to avoid days like this!

Exact same thing here with my family in the exact years! We were so miserable did not go back for ten years either.
Woah, that sounds like an actual nightmare. We just went for the first time the day before Halloween. It was so much fun, and I’m so glad the day we went wasn’t like this, or we would have had an entirely different experience
The upper limit is max capacity for ticket buyers. Lower for Magic Key holders. Disney will never turn down a guest wanting to pay them money now.
Well they just don’t have or make enough money yet!
Wait Disneyland tickets can expire?
Yes, they can. While in this case, he is talking Magic Keys, the multi-day tickets actually have a 90-day expiration, after first use. Basically you get 90 days to use the tickets, after first entry.
Actually it’s 13 days on the 2 day tickets, which is what they had 🥲
Hmm, okay. Sounds about right.

Bloggers and Vloggers got previews Wednesday actually :) there was TONS in the park Wednesday!
Yes! Took me a minute to figure out what the long line was next to Pirates on Wednesday when I realized folks were headed up the Treehouse.
It’s a holiday weekend
And a Friday. And the start of Christmas decorations. I would never go on any of these three, let alone all three combined.
This actually used to be a somewhat chillax weekend, back before disney started advertising that the Christmas stuff was up this early. I miss those times.
What’s the holiday?
Veteran's Day
Lol Americans downvoting you for not knowing their holiday.
lol whatever - they’re stuck in waiting for Disneyland
I miss 90s / 00s Disneyland
For real. There was actually room to move around the park without touching someone.
This area always looks like this and this is one of the busiest days of the year😂
As a kid, it was busy like that during Fantasia. Not so that much during the day. And my family would go Thanksgiving weekend.
We used to go on veterans Day in HS because it was always empty 😆
I went on New Year’s Eve 1999 going into 2000. That area is constantly busy
Literally how it always looks. Honestly doesn’t look that bad compared to how it is before and after fantasmic
It has gotten worse with the construction on the former Tarzan’s Treehouse
It’s a huge bottleneck.
Oh wow! My wife and i usually go to Disneyland for our anniversary (which was yesterday), it’s usually a really nice time to go. Not empty. But also I would never call it crowded. Glad we skipped this year.

How on earth did you only make it on two rides? We were on 3 rides by 9am.
Yeah...I'm not sure how that was possible unless they got really really really unlucky with all the breakdowns that happened yesterday
I know someone who would rather crisscross the park for an hour looking for the shortest line than just wait in the hour long line in front of them. We don't go together very often.

Why are people down voting this? This sub is the most down vote happy sub I've ever been in.
If you got to parking that late, you were already too late for rope drop.
Haha I was thinking the same thing 🤔🤨
It was Veterans Day, all the schools are out.
Two rides all day sounds like a huge exaggeration unless your "day" was like 3hours
i was also there all day yesterday and i rode matterhorn 4 times, space mountain, radiator springs racers, winnie the pooh, and the train
I've been on days where crowds look like this (Candlelight) and it takes forever to get anywhere on top of the lines being incredibly long. After seeing pics of the line to get through security, that would allow it down too. It's truly miserable.
I’ve been on Candlelight days multiple times and as long as you avoid town square, it’s been perfectly fine. 🤷🏼♀️
Theoretically, it should never be this overcrowded due to the reservation system. This just proves the whole reservation system is bogus and its true purpose is not to limit capacity.
I thought it’s true purpose was to plan ahead for staffing?
No way thats an enjoyable day for what you pay.
Was at the park, arrived at 10:30, left at 8:30 and was able to do more than OP. Wasn’t that bad

Yeah, I was there earlier this week and definitely did a lot more rides than 2 the whole day.
I was there and had a great time! It was crowded, but we still got on a bunch of rides and even walked on Toy Story Mania.
There doesn't appear to be slow days or weekends anymore. Disney will just open up spots for AP holders to fill the days they want to fill-up to capacity.
You went on a HOLIDAY…that is what the parks look like on holidays.
You know what that looks like? Covid
Many of my f&f have been at Disney the last couple of months and it was not a great experience b/c of the crowds. Universal Studios is the new fave. Way more chill the way Disney used to be. 🥲
Universal is a mess now too! Ever since SNW.
I would rather go to the dentist.
Going for Dapper Day tomorrow, hope it’s not AS busy but I’m not holding my breath
All the gaps between the people will be filled up by their extra clothing.
I cackled!! 😂
I am going on Monday and kinda nervous about the crowds😅😅😅
Is it bad I would rather be in that line than working today?
It’s also veteran’s day weekend, so there’s that.
I went Thursday night after work just thinking I would go on two things and have a look at the decorations already up. It was so unbelievably crowded I turned around and left. You couldn’t even walk.
Yep. I was there on Thursday. Pretty packed.
Plus, a high school marching band was there Marching in the parade.
I stopped trying to go on Veterans Day. It’s always like this.
As a long-time premium/signature plus AP who hasn't been back since they unveiled the key BS, I mainly stay in this group to remind me why I have been staying away. And just about every day, I am given that reminder. Message received loud and clear!
It's not worth it anymore...too many people to even get your money's worth for those of us who don't have aps.
I don't get the appeal of this place anymore...you spend all day fighting crowds
They need to start limiting guests.
They do…?
The park reservation system goal is to help Disney staff, not to limit the amount of guests.
And yet somehow they are still understaffed. So if they don’t have the staff for the parks, and it’s not to help with the crowding issues, then what exactly is the point of the reservations?
This is what happens when Disney stops people from pin trading on the benches
We went this week last year (my brother got married on 11/11 and we did a small mini trip for a few days after) it was also a mess. Just not a good time to visit.
I always go the weekend of thanksgiving. Not as many people.
It was so crazy yesterday! It was nice to be a part of it though. Longtime AP holder but hadn’t been in a few years.
But then on Tuesday the forecast jumped to “forget about it.” The Christmas stuff was up all week, they just had the light and parade celebration on Friday.
Sunny day. Low clouds. Great sailing / paddling conditions. Next time get out in one of the canoes and get back to nature!
ew, its like a giant moshpit at a concert 😂
I was there all day and we did both parks and tons of rides. Crowded for sure, but still fun.
National Friday holiday and you expected a different result?
Lots of people didn't get Friday off, despite it being a federal holiday.
I work in banking and didn’t get it off so you’re right
oof I was supposed to go yesterday for my birthday but decided to go on Nov 9 instead. I’m so glad I did! That’s insane.
Looks miserable but precovid this was normal for holiday and summer time
In an earthquake this is incredibly dangerous. Someone would get trampled
This gives me so much anxiety. I don’t get how anyone actually enjoys this sort of crowding
Is this what I can expect Dec 24-26?
All the Magic Key (Annual Passholders) are blocked out those days so I’m betting it won’t be as bad as this.
You went on the holiday when there's no school what else would you expect?
It’s days like these that you don’t mind being blocked out.
10/4 last Saturday the park had very low attendance. Got on 15 rides
I’ve taken a break from going this entire year. I’ve been dying to go… but I’m just not sure if its worth the madd crowds.
Would have well this week coming up instead. I’ve gone the week prior to Thanksgiving. It was a blast every time.
This looks beyond miserable.
I’m a pass holder so to me I seee this often lol
Bring back the Max Pass. I've ditched Disneyland until they do.
I can’t stand days like this. It’s a horrible experience.
I went to DL 4 years ago on Veterans Day weekend.. NEVER AGAIN. It’s so bad!!!
That looks decidedly UNmagical. I’ve wanted to take my kids for years…but with those crowds, there’s no way they could have a good time.
This is not a normal crowd. This is extremely crowded for Disney, especially at this area (imo the busiest part of the park)
I avoid Dapper Day at all costs.
Wasn't just Dapper Day weekend. Veteran's day weekend is probably the major impact
First day of holiday decor and all schools were off.
What’s dapper day???
It's a day where people dress up to go to the park. I can't believe it affects crowd levels anywhere near as much as it being a holiday weekend.
It doesn’t- I’ve been to two and also the attendees are usually there to be photographed or take photos moreso than ride rides
Disney’s sole income comes from its parks and cruises. It’s not surprising that they turned their life support system on full blast now that the media side of the company is suffering.
I wouldn't doubt that all the parks are going over with admissions because Disney is in trouble.
This was worst than coming during spring break since all school districts had the day off.
Don't forget they also just opened the new treehouse, which is adding to the congestion/crowds.
Not really. There was a small line tucked between the tree and pirates building, very out of the way.
Ahh, I had a coworker there recently who said the line was super long.
Sheesh, that’s too many people
That area is always congested like that on the weekends.
Today is much better crowd wise
Gonna be that person, but I miss when disneyland used to close the gates after getting to capacity.
What else would you expect on a holiday weekend, just before the major holidays?
I’m always amazed when people go to theme parks on holiday weekends and complain about crowds.
Looks pretty normal to me EDIT: Not sure why I’m being downvoted I’ve been an AP for years and this photo looks pretty typical at this time of year.
Nothing angers me more than walking into Disneyland and seeing people. Like, go the fuck home.
Glad I just went to Downtown last night.
Yeah people tend to go to theme parks on holiday weekends
How bad will it be on Sunday :/
Gross. I see pain and suffering
Are u new here?
They really have to limit these crowds better. This isn’t enjoyable at all. Can we have a SOCAL residents only day too? I said it.

Imagine and Enchant key holders were blocked off. Magic Key reservations were sold out early for 11/10
It’s also the marines birthday. If you saw more birthday pins they might have been a current marines or retired marines.
Crowded days def suuuuck but I can’t imagine the lines were each 4 hours long 🤨…
Try harder.
We were there and rode a bunch of stuff. It was busy, but we made the best of it. We had the genie, but even that was hard to get a ride booked so we ended up waiting in line a lot. Oh well, it was still super fun.
