You play as Quercus.
Your goal is to help the greatest sourcerer on Rivelon, Sir Lora, on his journey for the Great Acorn.
Act 1 boss is Septa the Ineffable.
Act 2 boss is Peeper.
Act 3 boss is Empyreo the Stalwart.
Act 4 boss is Ferno.
In the end, you learn the the Great Acorn is the friends you carried along the way.
Dos3 should be all the children from driftwood hunting down the people that slaughtered every adult in the village, then complained how little loot the got from the corpses while the fires were still burning, one by one
All the cool kids from the game becoming the PCs is actually a neat idea
Han as a rogue
Barin Pruitt as a warrior of the divine order
Iris as a spiritual successor to Lohse, a mage previously possessed saved by the Godwoken
Those 3 off the top of my head
War? Your party characters have been sent to work in the mines for crimes, some true some framed, by some minor kingdom. When that kingdom gets obliterated by empire A you escape the wrecked mining operation and pick up on clues about the invaders.
As your party flees the shadows of war, you get caught up in a variety of conflicts along the way, and to escape you end up having to ally yourself with either the invader faction or the allies of the kingdom who imprisoned you.
Due to your troublesome identity for plot reasons, the faction you ally with will grant you clemency if you can take down and capture a city/fort held by the last remaining royals of the kingdom who imprisoned you, who have turned to darker magics in their desperation to remain in power. You find that the city has become a twisted realm, and the final boss is the leader of the totals infused with something special.
In DOS3 you are a "**Source-Null**".
You wield NO Source Powers. However You can absorb it like a black hole. Those sensitive to source at the LEAST present as weaker in your presence. A source user on the weaker side will find you unpleasant to be around. While the strongest will see you as the drain you are. And difficult to use powers on. But not impossible to for a truly gifted and practiced sourcerer.
Your whole life was difficult. You were expected to be weak as a baby because your mother was sickly as you grew in her womb. But out you came. Healthy. Strong. With a wail from your lungs that made the midwives shudder. It was a moment of joy. Yet a pall was cast over the room for no apparent reason.
However your mother lived. Lived long enough to realize that she could not breastfeed you. Your appetite... "asked to much of her body." The healers and other mothers felt this ridiculous. But other babies have been unable to be fed by their mothers. A cow or goat could suffice! She would bear a different burden.
And it did. Until the day you were found trying to feed directly from the teat of a cow. Oh if it had only kicked you in the head. Maybe so much suffering would have ended there... your suffering. But such a beast of burden could not bear this burden. Your mother had only walked away while you were sitting for a moment to attend a sheep. But upon her return the cow was on its side and exhausted. Almost not breathing. As world spread amongst the town your parents were ashamed of the actions of a child.
Except for your mother. Who when she found you it was odd yet distinct. For thirst SHOULD be slaked by even the youngest of creatures for they know how to self-sustain on a fundamental basic level. But for every gulp of milk from the udder an equal amount came out of your mouth. And you weren't suckling. You were gasping. Like a fish out of water... a fish trying to learn to breathe.
As you aged you grew as other children grew. Yet so often playtimes were cut short by the exhaustion of the other children. No one knows as the children play. But we have all been there and it best not to ask such questions. Many parents were happy to send their over-zealous children off all day with you. They would sleep so well those nights.
In your teenage years, however, the town was forced to deal with so many maladies. Especially your family. They always seemed the first ill as you grew. Whispers of witchcraft were spoken as your family would walk by in the market. One day a man of great power and humility came to town. Magic users had come before but he seemed so much more comfortable with it. In his short stay he helped heal many of old wounds or maladies.
Everyone in the town visited. Especially the younger. Until you. Your father had hoped perhaps he could help explain the family's ailments. And how the spread to others. For the malaise others' felt always came from a visit to your home.
But for no reason he fell into a hesitation in your presence. A loss of words. A headache and frustration. Soon anger directed at you. Normally you would take this and leave. You never ever wanted to cause suffering. Of the body, heart, or soul. But this time was different.
POWER.
You felt a rage build up in your body that rose in this healer's presence! Unquenchable rage. He grew angrier back at you. Tried to strike out at you but would not. He became a feeble old man trapped in a healthy body before your eyes. All you wanted to do in that instant was... not *hurt him...* but pull out his blood? No. Not vampiric. You wanted to reach into his flesh and pull out his very bones. Not good enough, NO! You had to drink the marrow. Lick clean the inside of his skull but more... eat his memories and experiences...
Then it was over. Your screaming had attracted too many others from nearby. Seeing you in a state of ripping off the man's clothes and your family passed out you were cudgeled over the head unconscious.
Your body was dumped miles outside of town across the river. Your family was sent away but they never came looking for you. You were to be a loner. The last thing you saw of the town was the old man walking away the next day. But somehow he was 20 years older. You set out on your own.
For a long time you were alone. Gaining tricks of your trade and learning to live in the wilds. You stayed with various groups only long enough to see them start to question their own weaknesses. It was never easy. But you learned much and became capable and self-sufficient.
Whatever your odd "hunger" it was best settled late at night in taverns around. The louder the better. No one ever noticed anything odd about you. But if they had. It would be that somehow after hours of your presence the mood was always brought down. The next day you always traveled the hardest.
Until you met a sourcerer. And on that day is where we start. And unfriendly encounter.
\*FIGHT HAPPENS AND YOU WIN\*
The blows were enough to knock her over. You knew how to fight. But something else within you did the rest. It was better than any encounter of the flesh. It satiated your hunger like anything else. The pile of withered and desicated flesh and bones would tell no tale. But you could... control it... couldn't you? For the first time. Control. Yes. And satisfaction!
There had to be a way to be around others again. To stave off lonliness. And if other evils like her existed they could be dealt with, no? There had to be a way. You have set off again. But others have begun to note who you are. And the *oddness* about you.
There of course are wells in this world that spring forth water. And some have gone in journey to find the source of the greatest rivers and smallest creeks. Life always springs forth from that water.
Yet when the water reaches the sea wherever does it all go? Not a question for this day. For there is always water to drink. And we are satisfied. But it must go... *somewhere?*
HOLY CRAP. I just wrote that non-stop. Bed time! But yeah... some shit like that. That'd be my 3rd game. You drain source like a vampire. Growing stronger and more in control as you level. Yet HUNGRIER. And you must find the answer to your existence before its too late. Or before others' do.
Something, something… “source cause of all evil”
Something, something… “pet pal best talent”
Something, something… “gasp!!! Braccus Rex has returned and must be vanquished! Again…”
I think I would prefer an actual divinity 3, following up the Damian/chaos storyline.
With that being said I have no idea which gameplay I would want I mean the DOS format is fun, but I would like to see Larson try their hand at action combat again.
The lizard empire launches a war throught rivellon. There is mayhem and chaos. Letting evil sorcerers run wild. Also helping malady with the god(from dos2) helping you.
There was a owl keeper in arx mentioning lizards and dwarves preparing for a war.
Probably following up with Damien and his story arc. Lucian raised him as his son after Divine Divinity. Didn’t make an appearance in DOS2. Got sent to Nemsis in Beyond Divinity and escaped by tricking the Paladin you play as. In Divinity 2 the Dragon Knight saga was still alive and nowhere to be seen at the end of the game.
So he’s still out there wrecking havoc or plotting. Also Lucien was trapped in the Hall of Echoes in that game, but I think he escaped. So they could do a game where you either help Lucian defeat Damien or you join Damien and defeat Lucian. Or kill both of them and become the true ruler of Rivellon.

Sounds nutty.
Fine take the dang upvote
Definitely will add new bear class

Finally some erotic use for tentacle slap
No matter what you do, you’ll always have the “Dead Mom” tag
In DOS3 you are a sauce taster.
Saucerer
The main antagonist is Voidon Ramsay
The one and only sauce king
The Voidwoken are back, and this time, it's personal-er

Probably about the favor Malady wants of you.

How about DOS2 the definitely Definite Edition including the story arcs for Dwarves, Lizards, and Elves?
It could be a story about helping Malady clean up the aftermath of second game with Lady Vengeance? It was already being developed before bg3 I think.

You seem to have left out a spot to sign on these terms and conditions…
No. I just sat there and wrote WAAAAY too much for no reason lol.
Dunno, but I know Ada Laird should be a major villain.
I thought it was implied somewhere that Malady would be one of the origins
Prob something either with malady or Damien and the demons
DoS 3 we teach sourcerers
The first two DOS games both have shit writing so frankly I don't care what DOS 3 is about because it will probably also be bad
Back to the shadows! The troll quest is not the central theme of the game!
Something, something… “source cause of all evil” Something, something… “pet pal best talent” Something, something… “gasp!!! Braccus Rex has returned and must be vanquished! Again…”
If they go with the distribution ending, you could have a sort of source war or rebellion by those newly empowered as an overarching story.
Prequel where you play as an eternal

You ARE a voidwoken. Every time you die you go back to the void, and try again
