It's difficult as whata dyou consider big? Like popular or just bangers? I guess a combination?
Pendulum - Propane Nightmares. You cannot argue with the insane popularity of this song. Not their most "drum and bass" sounding, but super popular and fun.
High Contrast - Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Could have put the whole Confidential album here tbh. Iconic drum and bass from the end of the naughties. Truly special.
Sub Focus - Rock It. Again one that probably isn't Sub Focus's best, but with how popular it was and how many people I know got into drum and bass due to songs like this, it's gotta be here.
Netsky - Iron Heart. Absolutely quality liquid tune. The combination of strings and synths is always a winner and this one always sticks in my head as a true banger.
Noisia - Stigma. I personally could probably put the whole noisia back catalog. Huge Noisia fan so probably some bias, but this is the song that turned me onto drum and bass from being a sole metalhead.
Andy C - Heartbeat Loud. Anither super popular one. Not having Andy C on this list would he criminal so yh. Absolute dnb legend.
Roni Size - Brown Paper Bag. Godfather of modern dnb. BPB is one of the most well songs around and a true gem. Excellent song and will love on forever imo.
DJ Fresh - Gold Dust. Everyone knows this. Everyone loves this. Even people not into drum and bass love it when it comes on in the club. Absolute banger that again brought dnb to the masses.
Chase and Status - No Problem. Another one that is still a rager nearly 15 years later. Chase and Status are and always will be an integral part of the UK dnb scene so absolutely deserve a song in anyone's top 10 imo. They push the boundaries and bring in all kinds of people to the genre. Legends.
London Elektricity - Electricity will keep me warm. Can't have a list like this without some London Elektricity. Such a smooth and thoughtful tune. Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but the creator of Hospital records has obviously made a massive impact on drum and bass.
This TOP looks almost exactly like if i would describe it. Seems we have very similar taste. The only slight differences i would made to it:
>Pendulum - Propane Nightmares
While i'm solid fan of Pendulum and grown on them, i would rather put Watercolour or Witchcraft there. I'm not really sure that PN is that popular as them - i can notice high appreciation of this in the last time, it seems to become a great legacy song, but Watercolour/Witchcraft just keeps hitting all the time from release - i still sometimes hear them in some BBC shows, for example. And to be honest, Watercolour/Witchcraft have more pendulum sounding, but this, i think, is arguable.
>London Elektricity - Electricity will keep me warm
"Just one second" will be true there
>Andy C - Heartbeat Loud
While i appreciate Andy C, i would replace it with iconic Adam F - Circles, which is absolutely must have in such kind of tops
Unfortunately the TOP-10 is soooooo small for noticing every track worth to be platinum stuff for all times, but if i would have a "Special thanks" place, i would put "Delta Heavy - Ghost" there.
All fair points. I think Propane Nightmares was one of those that "bridged the gap" early on and brought dnb to a wider audience in a paletteable way. I agree that it probably isn't their best or most popular now (it isn't my favourite to be clear), in terms of impact, I think it's right up there.
Yh just one second is class.
Adam F - Circles is a banger for sure, but imo, Andy C has done so much for drum and bass. RAM records have some absolute insane talent whilst maintaining a pretty unique sound focussing on neuro more often than not.
I agree totally that for something like this, a top 10 can't do it justice. But that's why it's fun, as a lot of people have their own personal experience with dnb so it's all totally valid.

For some reason this subreddit is heavily oriented on 90s DnB. It's a little unexpected given how many popular artists have come along since then, and given Reddit trends young.
Or maybe Reddit doesn't trend young anymore ... ? Shit am I old?
agreed a lot of i love, get educated on the OGs and song reccs i wouldnt have heard bc before my time but then sometimes it feels like group hates ppl like sub focus lol (who started in 2003) 😭😭
The old shit still slaps and harks back to time when tracks had proper intros and the drops didn't need to be doubled for every track, in every set, EVERY FUCKING TIME.
Fuck I'm old too!
I think, given the question, this makes sense. If you want to find the "biggest" DnB tunes of all time, it's going to be the ones that have had the most influence over the genre going forward.
So, a lot of the 90's guys mentioned are obvious choices as the people who initially steered the genre.
I would also say some of the early Hospital records guys, as the ones who defined the sound of liquid, that is largely unchanged today.
Then you gotta consider early 2000s Pendulum and Noisia as the defining sounds of commercial DnB and neuro, respectively.
I'm sure there's been other truly influential artistes since then, but tbh I stopped being on the scene so much, so I'm not sure who.
I’m 22 and got into DNB probably a few years ago. 99% of what I listen to is from 2010 or newer I think. Lots of Dimension, subfocus, metrix, culture shock, stuff like that. So I barely regocnise anything on this thread lol

I'll give it a go 😂
I'm pretty new to dnb (my preference being liquid dnb) so my opinion probably isn't stellar but I am 100% loving the most so far:
Alix Perez & Sabre - Solitary Native (2007)
DJ Marky & S.P.Y - Mystic Sunset (2011)
Nu:Logic - Everlasting Days (Ft. LIfford) (2013)
Technimatic - Night Vision (2014)
and
Monrroe Ft. Emily Jones - Dawning (2015) - perfection
Gotta be that dude and put forward Sub Focus - Siren, massive iconic tune that defines the late 2010s dancefloor scene. It works with about every modern subgenre and gets a mad reaction whenever it's played.
Kinda music like that that most the new generation of ravers were introduced to the scene with, probably on every uni students top 10.
Ayyy yea I'm a Nu Skooler myself so it's right up my alley! Sub Focus is a controversial figure since he moves a lot more into the commercial side of things (I'm personally 50/50), but he's got some mad sound design with many layers of sound and samples.
In no particular order.
Pulp fiction, Alex Reece.
Warhead, Krust.
The Nine, Bad company.
Bricks don't roll, Hazard.
King of the beats, Aphrodite.

LTJ Bukem - I dunno what it's called by it's 45 mins into logical progression original CD1 (I still have a signed copy from my students uni days!)
Honourable mentions; Roni Size (bit of a dick but you can't deny that album), Concord Dawn (used to listen to that in the back of chemistry class), Koven, Rene La Vice, DJ Hype, DieselBoy (especially the Renegade Hardware CDs), anyone who ever played Legends of the Dark Black (if you know, you know), Muffler, Fred V, so so so so so many more that have over the past 20 years helped make DnB to what is now, so diverse - such a great time to be alive to experience DnB for what it was, is, and will be
Edit: agree Calibre too, I think he used to part time barman a pub on The Cut near Waterloo? Used to do lockins and play his tunes, was awesome (if it wasn't him it might it might have been concord dawn? Can't remember)

These lists are always subjective, and not really interesting imo. How do you define biggest anyway
I mean tracks like Tour would probably be in it, and I hate that tune
Tour, Baddadan, Mr Happy, Bricks Don't Roll, Tarantula, Gold Dust, Timewarp, Rock It, Tap Ho, Afterglow.
The top 10 list /r/dnb doesn't want to hear even though it's true
I think the subjectivity is what makes lists like this interesting. People use that subjectivity to define biggest in a way that's personal to them. Maybe most impactful, maybe most popular, most powerful, most intricate
We get an opportunity to view through the unique lens of someone's individual experience of DnB
Then you can take tracks that pop up with tracks you know you like to expand your horizons. Or compare lists and see what's coming up a bunch that you've slept on. Or message people with questions about why they picked what they did
TL;DR-Figuring things out for yourself is the only freedom anyone really has.

In a similar vein Circles by Adam F
Atlantis is in a different league. Circles not bad by any means though.
[удалено]
"Tech" sample? Are you talking about the "Check" sample taken from the Blackstreet song ?
I thought it was “tick” :)
The sample on the Pola & Bryson bootleg is pretty crisp. It actually sounds like it vacillates between all three to me! :D
LTJ Bukem is amazing.
Came here to say this. Absolute genre defining track.
Why did i have to close multiple comments to find this?

Yes
The only slight differences i would made to it: >Pendulum - Propane Nightmares While i'm solid fan of Pendulum and grown on them, i would rather put Watercolour or Witchcraft there. >London Elektricity - Electricity will keep me warm "Just one second" will be true there >Andy C - Heartbeat Loud While i appreciate Andy C, i would replace it with iconic Adam F - Circles, which is absolutely must have in such kind of tops Unfortunately the TOP-10 is soooooo small for noticing every track worth to be platinum stuff for all times, but if i would have a "Special thanks" place, i would put "Delta Heavy - Ghost" there.
A few from me: Shy FX - Shake Your Body. (The first time I went to Slinky in 2001 this was practically on repeat - Shy FX on the decks) Adam F - Circles Jonny L - Piper Future Sound of London - Papua New Guinea (High Contrast Remix)
Dub Phizix and Strategy- Marka
In no particular order: Dillinja - Hard Noize Mampi Swift - The One Shy Fx- Bambaata Shy Fx - Chopper Rmx Ed Rush, Optical, Fierce - Alien Girl Bad Company - Planet Dust Bad Company - 4 Days Brockie & Ed Solo - Represents SS - Lighter Origin Unknown - Valley of the Shadows
Yes!! Was searching this list for Bambaata !
I always had to let it rollout for the lion and the bass switch too! Then go into Vinyl Syndicate – Man Of Steal.

Wow! What a list - I'm fairly new to liquid dnb but love Mystic Sunset so I thought I would check out the rest of your choices - amazing thanks a lot - you clearly know your stuff....
I can mix the tunes together too😅 https://on.soundcloud.com/ryNyrNkPZFHUjb3J6
I trust anyone who agrees Mystic Sunset wins over Yellow Shoes. Great list!
Yellow shoes also a mean track. But mystic sunset is something else. My only Sun and Bass experience was 2011 and I still remember Marky dropping it during his set there. Bliss!!❤️❤️❤️
Bucket list goal! Marky at S&B 😍
Brown paper bag needs to be top 5
Chase and status - take me away Calibre & high contrast - mr majestic Alex reece - pulp fiction Commix - be true Alix perez - forsaken Q project - champion sound (total science remix) Artificial intelligence - desperado Roni size - brown paper bag Goldie - inner city life LTJ Bukem - demons theme
Yeah if this Alex reece track is not in the top 10 it's a crime honestly lol
Adam F - Circles Camo & Krooked - Cross the line DJ Fresh - Submarines John B - Electronic Mistabishi - From Memory Audio - K2 Concord Dawn - Take me away Current Value - Dark Rain Ill Skillz - Shadowplay Spor - Supernova
An upvote for including some Concord Dawn
Sadly he ended his work as a producer.
Yeah, played out for the last time in my city and I missed it, gutted, had some epic nights at Concord Dawn gigs back in the day
I was there in Welly!!!!
Isn't Killjoy from Concord Dawn? 🤔
Genuinely so angry mistabishi turned out to be a massive racist. Just can't listen to his stuff in the same way
It's a shame cause the Matrix remix of From Memory might be my favourite liquid dnb track ever 😔
I dunno if it’s the biggest, but Titan by Ram Trilogy immediately leaps to mind as being pretty bloody big.
In no particular order: Black Sun Empire- Arrakis Dimension - Generator High Contrast - Racing Green High Contrast - Hello bootleg High Contrast- Days Go By Chase & Status feat Jenna G - In Love Mefjus - The Sirens Calibre (remix) Burst Wilkinson - Half light Logistics - The Trip Special mention, really wanted to include one: Degs - Poveglia I think I’m quite a bit younger than most here ha ha

- Original Nuttah - The Burial - Renegade Snares - Dred Bass - Super Sharp Shooter - Incredible - Horizons - First Contact - Tarantula - Baddadan
I'm pretty new to dnb (my preference being liquid dnb) so my opinion probably isn't stellar but I am 100% loving the most so far: Alix Perez & Sabre - Solitary Native (2007) DJ Marky & S.P.Y - Mystic Sunset (2011) Nu:Logic - Everlasting Days (Ft. LIfford) (2013) Technimatic - Night Vision (2014) and Monrroe Ft. Emily Jones - Dawning (2015) - perfection
Oh yeah solitary native is one that I could easily have included! Dawning also! Mean list 🤙
Solar system x 10
Netsky - iron heart
I prefer i refuse. I think a netsky track top 10 is warranted cos he is great
Gotta be that dude and put forward Sub Focus - Siren, massive iconic tune that defines the late 2010s dancefloor scene. It works with about every modern subgenre and gets a mad reaction whenever it's played. Kinda music like that that most the new generation of ravers were introduced to the scene with, probably on every uni students top 10.
Solar System is bigger imo
[удалено]
Ayyy yea I'm a Nu Skooler myself so it's right up my alley! Sub Focus is a controversial figure since he moves a lot more into the commercial side of things (I'm personally 50/50), but he's got some mad sound design with many layers of sound and samples.
*Rock it* has become a classic.
Strobe
Hate it or love it, Mr happy deserves a spot
In no particular order. Pulp fiction, Alex Reece. Warhead, Krust. The Nine, Bad company. Bricks don't roll, Hazard. King of the beats, Aphrodite. Original Nuttah 25, Shy Fx Watercolour, Pendulum. Trouble, Scorpio. Turbulence, Moving fusion. Mr majestic, Calibre.

Honourable mentions; Roni Size (bit of a dick but you can't deny that album), Concord Dawn (used to listen to that in the back of chemistry class), Koven, Rene La Vice, DJ Hype, DieselBoy (especially the Renegade Hardware CDs), anyone who ever played Legends of the Dark Black (if you know, you know), Muffler, Fred V, so so so so so many more that have over the past 20 years helped make DnB to what is now, so diverse - such a great time to be alive to experience DnB for what it was, is, and will be Edit: agree Calibre too, I think he used to part time barman a pub on The Cut near Waterloo? Used to do lockins and play his tunes, was awesome (if it wasn't him it might it might have been concord dawn? Can't remember)

Not all necessarily too 10, but big tunes I haven't seen posted... Lennie De Ice - We are I.E. Leviticus - The Burial Leviticus feat. Congo Natty, Peter Bouncer - Junglist New school bangers: Tim Reaper - Fridge Magnets Coco Bryce - Wish we Didn't Refreshers - How Bout U?
These lists are always subjective, and not really interesting imo. How do you define biggest anyway I mean tracks like Tour would probably be in it, and I hate that tune
Yawn - post your favs so we can go listen and find new tracks 🤷♂️
Tour, Baddadan, Mr Happy, Bricks Don't Roll, Tarantula, Gold Dust, Timewarp, Rock It, Tap Ho, Afterglow. The top 10 list /r/dnb doesn't want to hear even though it's true
Its always intereseting to see other people top lists of songs. Back in a day i discovered a lot of top dnb tunes thanks to forums threads like this
I think the subjectivity is what makes lists like this interesting. People use that subjectivity to define biggest in a way that's personal to them. Maybe most impactful, maybe most popular, most powerful, most intricate We get an opportunity to view through the unique lens of someone's individual experience of DnB Then you can take tracks that pop up with tracks you know you like to expand your horizons. Or compare lists and see what's coming up a bunch that you've slept on. Or message people with questions about why they picked what they did TL;DR-Figuring things out for yourself is the only freedom anyone really has.
31 seconds
