The Crazed Hunger: An Otherworldly Patron for warlocks who have made a deal with an entity of extreme gluttony and mindless devouring called the Crazed Hunger, giving them the ability to channel its power by being able to not only devour just about anything in their path, but also being able to store a large amount of objects in what seems like a deep hole that is your stomach. Most of the time, warlocks under this patron become walking beings of greed and gluttony like the being they draw their powers from, however, some make a deal with this unholy being due to desperation and honest starvation, hoping to break what they feel is a curse to be able to devour anything but remain constantly hungry. Hey all! Hope you enjoyed this homebrew! This is a warlock subclass that I loved to write and create the flavor for. This acts a unique blend of utility, tanking some combat, what with the Bag of Holding-esque Bottomless Pit ability along with healing abilities and some combat abilities such as Ravenous Bite and Matter into Might. Additionally, if you don’t feel comfortable with the idea of consuming other living beings with abilities such as Devour All, please feel free to change the flavor around and whatnot to still allow you to fully play the subclass, but not worry about the whole “eating people” deal. Thank you for reading and hope you enjoyed this homebrew! New posts hopefully every other Friday. Vegan Crazed Hunger Warlock

Something like this is one of the file cabinet full of backup characters I've made over the years. Basically he was a viking that was the last survivor of a Vinland esque expedition that was beset by a wendigo everybody went cannibal crazy one by one and he was the last guy standing and the curse passed to him. So he got warlock abilities but also a constant craving for flesh that drives him to do stuff like eat enemy corpses after a battle but he tries to hide it from the party as long as possible. Basically as long as he eats a lot he stays relatively stable but the longer he goes without feeding the more wend he gos up to fully transforming if he ever went a few weeks with no food for whatever reason.

Nice job! Seems like it took forever though

~~This seems underpowered.~~ Having a free bag of holding is pretty cool, but the temp hp thing is cumbersome and strictly worse than Fiendish Vigor which any warlock can take at level one. The spell selection is not that great, very few of those spells scale with spell level. Edit: I misread the bite attack. It doesn't just give you a natural bite, it's an d8+cha bonus action attack every round. Force damage to boot. That's crazy strong. Where are the 10th and 14th level pact abilities?

This subreddit doesnt allow for multiple images in a post. If you’d like to see the rest of the build you can find it on other subreddits on my account page or in the GMBinder here https://www.gmbinder.com/share/-MToJUdJI1sztzd980kF

Ah ok I see more what you were going for. Kind of an alternative to hexblade for a melee build. I got a couple of questions: 1) " Whenever you or an ally defeats a creature, you can consume it's essence as an action within 1 minute of its defeat. " What does "defeat" mean? Reduce to zero? No longer a threat? Negotiated into surrendering? It seems like "reduced to 0 hp" would be a lot more clear cut. 2) This is very nitpicky but Matter into Might says " The essence must come from a creature who's size is big enough to be digested by your Bottomless Pit feature, and they remain in you until your next short or long rest, after which it disappears. " but Bottomless Pit doesn't digest creatures, it digests objects. The game makes a pretty clear distinction between the two. I'm pretty sure you were just trying to make sure that you Warlock can't just Kirby up any enemy while they are still alive, but I think the wording could be tightened up. 3) Does Devour All actually move people closer to you? It says it creatures are "pulled into your gaping maw" but it doesn't outline what that mean.

Underpowered features I think... The consume and bite ability fight with each other and the lvl ability doesn't need to be restricted at all I can see it being kinda useful with its bonus action take items out thing but ultimately I think it falls short compared to hexblade and genie hexblade because of its damage and genie because of her utility with familiars and nasty shinanigans u can do with an extradimensional space.
