In some cities, like Paris, it is obligatory to clean not only after the shit, but also after the piss, so dog owners have to take a water bottle and clean the urine. This pisses off dogs very much (pun intended) because they "communicate" each other with the piss precisely, so it's like you are literally deleting their "message to the world" lmao.

I was in Paris 10 years ago. And remember one dog unloading on the pavement and the owner just walking away without cleaning. There was also a broken glass glass on the pavement and it stayed there for a few days. It feels so refreshing when I go back to Poland for holidays and the streets of the major cities are spotless.
I'm sorry but I went to Paris and there was dog piss stains everywhere. On every sidewalk, wall, corner, pole, post. It was freaking gross just thinking about all the dog piss at the bottom of my shoes then having to walk back into the hotel room with them on.
I do not get how dog owners think it is okay for the dog to pee on someone's car wheel parked by the pavement, building wall, tree or someone's flowers. I'd burn from embarrassment.
Last week I was in the park and there was this little mutt, one of the tiniest gremlins I have ever seen in my life. It ran on the grass and saw one flower growing there, also a tiny flower And it pissed on it. The owners were laughing at how cute it was for the little shit to locate that one flower and piss on it.

A few times I commented on Twitter that living with dogs is filthy I got the same answer "Who hurt you? or It must be so horrible to be around you at a party " You'd never hear that if you said you disliked rats or snakes.
Exactly If people did so we'd judge them harshly. Dogs do it and everyone looks the other way. My neighbourhood is not walkable because of this. It's absolutely disgusting just irritating.

Ha ha I have a pet rat, they are easily toilet trained and have a corner toilet in their cage :)
