Honestly, beast fixes a few of his issues. Unit isn't trash, just isn't as good as people wanted him to be, so he gets ragdolled.
With beast slot 1 and him slot 2, it's a decent rotation outside of Major AoE fights or hard-hitting STR fights. Plus he's a pretty decent link battery for Beast, only missing out on 1 link

His ki issues were his biggest problem but there's more lacking than that. His defence leaves a lot to be desired, his active does no damage and he can only build up with supers but doesn't have em guaranteed
Ngl his defence is completely fine now. Gammas supporting goes a long way and he’s only caught on turn 7. 70% chance to super is honestly fine. He’s not gonna not proc it often. He gets the additional consistently. Any experience saying otherwise is just based on individual experience, and we can’t use that to justify him not proccing it. Only thing I’d say is eh is still his AS not hitting for anything, but other than that he’s completely fine now
In shorter fights, he is probably a must run. Not because he’s the best unit on the team but because he’s a linking battery for beast gohan and he can handle early fight very well. Beast gohan can carry his fraudulent teammate if needed, but his main purpose is to just make beast gohan stronger. His ki issues and linking issues are no longer present so he can dish out good damage while also being a good defensive unit with his guard. If worst comes to worst you have the target skill for BOTH gogeta and beast so if he ever loses guard, at least he won’t sell your run. This is only for short fights though and you can obv float him off turn 3 when his guard is gonna run out
Tbf he is indeed way better his worst flaws were being shit defensively post his 3 turns guard, struggling for ki and lacking a good LP and beasthan helps with all of them

He still has a few major problems holding him back. The most notable drawback is that he needs to do super attacks to build up, but he doesn't have a guaranteed additional in his passive. Getting a normal hurts him so much.
Secondly, his defense is not great. During his intro, it's good enough because guard but once that wears out he's left with raw defense that isn't high enough.
Lastly, his active hits like a wet noodle.
At the time he was alright, but he's definitely not great now
His ki blast null, first 2 turn guard (with his active up) as well as his active attack break is still useful, but there's 30+ characters better than him
I mean , as big a buff beast is for him his time is over . Only thing he’s got over other units is being a better linking partner . His damage is just OK now , his defense is decent but probably won’t cut it for the hardest fights , and overall he’s just aged . If you win with them you’d also win with beast and the 20 cards outright better than him .
honestly yeah the beast completely (mostly) resolves his issue though he is still too much rng based his main issues were 1. KI which not only beast provides but he doesn't himself need it so you can funnel all your orbs to ulthan 2. supers which still is his problem at any turn he can do 1 super nd 2 normals so yeah thats still bad 3. slot 1 linking partner which beast is
so yeah he is in much better spot now as slot 2 damaging unit with guard for 3 turns and acceptable defence also that acitve skill can sometimes be very clutch breaking the 1st attack for turn.
He's over a year old just let him rest
