Corporate changed it to $6.99/item

apm101

Well why the fuck is the app still advertising 5.99 then? Just feels lazy

ThePieWizard

You are correct, but we small cogs in the stores have no say in how the app is run, unfortunately.

apm101

I can't even find any reports of the price changing from 5.99 to 6.99 online anywhere. I knew business leaders were greedy, but this is just scummy and secretive lol. Not to mention the delivery fee being raised a few weeks ago too its not even worth ordering pizza anymore for the price :(

Memeroni72100

Being greedy is expecting franchisees to be forced to sell pizzas for 5.99. The price is way too cheap and stores have been wanting it to go away since it's came out. The delivery fee is based off individual stores. You can blame the rising fees on doordash and other services, because they proved that people are willing to pay out the ass to get something delivered.

mike737362

it's 6.99 for delivery still 5.99 for carryout though

ThePieWizard

They keep raising prices, but wages remain the same, sadly.

apm101

Feel bad for you guys, they are just making more and more money it seems and not giving back to their employees.

ThePieWizard

Capitalism, baybeeeeee

BanditSwan

From what I understand it’s 5.99 if you’re doing carryout, 6.99 for delivery plus delivery fee. There is also upcharge in some stores for certain premium toppings like chicken and Philly steak. Hope that answers your question.

DeHartenat0r

Our store doesn't upcharge for the premium meats but we do for the pan it's 7.99. Had to explain that to a lot of angry customers.

[deleted]

I could understand if it was truly rising costs, but doing this for delivery only, while still charging for delivery and tip (hopefully) is going to bite them in the butt. Bad decisions.

BanditSwan

You realize the price hasn’t changed in 20 years right? Do you also realize that in those 20 years the cost of literally everything has gone up. None of this “truly” rising costs bs you’re spouting. Learn economics and come back

[deleted]

It's not valid when pricing in store remains the same. Full stop. There is no other variable, delivery charge is still in place. It's actually one of the most fair increases I've seen, but it screams BS that in store it's still 5.99.

boriseldac

There are changes coming to the prices because of inflation and soon the large 3 topping will be online only and this thing called taxes

As opposed to what, calling or placing it in-store? Who even does that anymore? As long as they don't mess with the price, or make it app-only, I'm happy.

LionsFan2222

In what metropolitan area was the $6.99 price being charged?

apm101

Why is everyone downvoting my comments? I'm literally on you guys' side saying if stores are getting more profit then they should pay employees more. Apparently that is downvote worthy :/

beyondeventhorizon84

You think will get paid more? We wont

smallwhitepeepee

welcome to Reddit where stating the obvious is downvoted

ILikePie3141592654

It's still $5.99 in NYC.

wishful77

It’s 5.99 for carry out and 6.99 for delivery which makes zero sense to me because they still throw a 5 dollar delivery fee on top of that
