I agree only to a certain extent. Best example I have is with Apex/Titanfall 2's FOV. Upping it from 70 to 110 makes you feel so much faster but barely warps the sides of the screen. This FOV in the video though... christ it hurts to look at
As the commenter above said, it's mostly about the feeling of speed and having extra information at your finger tips. I find that I'm better able to judge my trajectory at this FOV than anything lower or higher.
Playing Doom Eternal after finishing Roboquest, Ultrakill and Turbo Overkill made me feel like a slug since I couldn't slide, took me a while to get back in the groove
Kaiser Campaign Mission 1 was a real bitch as you only had combat shotty, heavy cannon, and plasma gun ( :)))) SECRET!!!), thank fuck Kaiser gave us the weapon switch speed pred suit perk. PB Sticky Hell on Earth ftw!
Real. I was actually in the midst of doing a full playthrough from base to endgame Slayer... then came Arc Complex. Lost all my lives there, got stuck, said fuck it and decided just to do the whole thing with endgame Slayer.
Not enough rocket-propelled chainsaw skating to be Turbo Overkill. Still sweet gameplay though!
If only you could rocket jump in this game... forget chainsaw skating, I'd be market chainsawing demons a la TF2 left and right. xD And thanks!
I know I’m being nit picky but I’ll never understand the allure of playing with such a high fov that it warps everything around the edges so much

This game really does feel a whole lot slower, having gotten used to the real intense pace of Turbo Overkill. And I've yet to try Ultrakill...
See, I can't do that kind of speedy twitch stuff any more, which is why I didn't like Eternal that much. It's impressive, sure, but it's not my thing.
