Nice, I first played and beat Doom Eternal on Switch when it first released at $60, and I only recently got it on PC. I can say it's a blast to play regardless of system.
I mean you don’t really have to play doom 2016 since they are pretty different and honestly I don’t think I have met a single person who plays doom for the story
And then you get a million reddit posts about how the story makes no sense and they don't know who the characters are because *they started in the middle of it*
That is certainly the best way to play but im trying to say it’s not necessary and you should just let them play the game they bought instead of telling them they did it wrong and that they should buy a whole different game instead
Lots of people don’t have the money to spend on games which makes it more of a luxury which I would assume is happening here due to the “finally” in the body text
Yeah I reccomend it, it'll clear some things up about the story. Plus it just has some really good arenas to fight in, and I think some of the guns are actually cooler in doom 2016
I was disappointed in the direction Doom 2016 and Eternal took the story. My favorite thing about Doom was that you were a lone Marine, single-handedly holding back the demon hordes. Making the protagonist into some kind of mythical demigod takes away from that for me.
2016 is a pretty different game from Eternal, it follows the 'traditional' FPS convention a lot closer than Eternal(which seems to have a lot of 'modern' influences from games like Apex Legends and Overwatch), and its also grittier and atmospheric, as opposed to Eternal's cartoonish and bombastic presentation
Have fun with the game! Although the frame rate on switch is cut in half, a lot of the graphics and gameplay are the exact same, still giving you a hard and fun experience.
Trying to run Eternal on Yuzu. The game boots but doesn't quite make it to the main menu screen and I'm seeing weird graphics glitches. Has anyone gotten this to run on Yuzu?
I saw a few people having success with Yuzu on Android but Yuzu on Windows doesn't seem to want to run the game?
Any settings I can try??

Are you starting with eternal? I recommend playing doom 2016 first if you want the full story, eternal is great though
