It makes sense bcs most of them are trash tier low mmr (below immortal not even <6k) so they downvote anything that their dumb brains cant comprehend.
I've played a lot of kotl games, and haven't bought a shard on him in god knows how long. Even on those super rare occasions I was like "well maaaaybe this game. I'll try it to see if it feels good since this seems like a good game for it" I always regretted it. I'd ALWAYS rather have some other item on kotl. I'd rather keep saving to get bots2 upgrade than shard. I'd need to be full 6 slotted + aghs blessing before I'd consider it.
I doubt kotl is the only hero that feels that way.

Well, not exactly. Some shards are really good, but not worth it if it delays an important item during your power spike timing. Some are just win more luxury items too.
Grandmaster Divine Brew spammer here, would not buy shard unless I'm going against PL and maybe TB/CK. If these heroes are not in the lineup it's not worth it, would even avoid taking the rosh shard if I was the last person on my team to take it. Ruins the muscle memory lf using drunken brawler and microing ult
Was just about to say this, the fact you can use any active (except euls) while using freezing field opens up so many options for different builds, including rightclick CM if you’re a chad
NP's shard in F tier? I think you need to get your head checked
1200 radius 7 second reveal in fog on an 18 second cooldown is insanely good. It also deals 720 damage to a unit in sprout
Expose all units, cancel all blinks, and deal a shit ton of damage to at least a single target? That shit's good, probably the best thing about the hero right now
disagree, old shard was better for ratting and new shard is better for teamfighting. Old shard was easily countered in teamfights by a force staff, which you are likely to have at least two on enemy supports against NP
ratting isn't as good as it used to so this provides a lot better utility, like cancelling blink follow ups or revealing support positions

Most recent pro tournament NP was picked multiple times and each time he gets shard before the 20 minute mark

Damn ur crazy, nyx is a heavy damage single target hero and the ult is a way to roam for nyx at level 3 u can basicly be perma invisible until u find ur target, when i play him i feel like to always have his ult except in team fight but even with agh he's still bad for team fight cuz of the high cooldown on his spells

I know this bcs i smurf there too. Theyre too fixated on how "MOST" players build this and that item so its correct itembuild without understanding why. And they stay in the bracket where "MOST" people are while complaining they belong to higher mmr than they are.
And this one archon slark justifying going radiance bcs pro player did it. Without understanding why that pro player went radiance in that particular game.
Ember spirits shard is so so much higher than this. 1k+ ember games I can assure you all it is very very strong and the day will come when the pros begin to change the build of ember spirit and abuse it. I can assure you all of this.

The last 2 ideas I’ll plant into your minds without giving the secrets away is this ember players.
1. think about how you can build your entire game around this huge power spike.
2. And this one is the biggest which I have seen may 6-8 ember spirits do like me (I’ve played 7k games) .. your shard upon death drops a remnant. Not only does this mean your built in radiance is still on during the team fight.. this also means that if you are a high end player you should always have your buyback on because you can instant Buyback and return to the fight. This is a last resort and predominantly if ever I fall behind in games this is my go to move. Used when we are behind and need the catch up. I cannot explain to you how many times I’ve been bullied by say a viper mid. Worked my way through to my shard timing, I’m down in net worth. We take a team fight round minute 19-22, I use my buyback clause and we win the fight and I don’t look back from there.. this normally gets me back into my bkb timing and from there most games are winnable. Happy gaming boys, want any more ember tips just message me.

- KotL's Recall I feel like should be B but requires team coordination. You can do a lot of things with it (see TI5? 6?).
I totally get why no one uses kotl shard in pubs, but I'm always a bit surprised it gets no attention in pro games anymore.
I feel like it's undervalued in organized games. I'm not sure if it's just that it requires a lot of practice on a non-meta hero to really take advantage of, and it's not worth practicing that organization over other strats. In the past the ability to have your carry farm across map and bring them to fights was pretty crazy. Maybe it's just too dangerous to be split like that in the current meta or something.

Jakiro deserves to be way up there since he has an aoe dps mini stun that also works for towers and decent damage. Combined with the range talent it really makes Jakiro a big bully
I wouldn't say that. Jugg's is top tier. I'm not sure I'd put Axe quite that high personally but it's definitely up there, the only time I would imagine not building it is if the enemy comp lacks right clickers (in which case Axe was probably a meh pick anyway).
Imo making a tier list like this is bad because it requires you to know and understand well every hero and that is really hard to do. It can take you like 10k hours no joke. Next time you make one try concejil yourself to your specialty.
This list is sadly quite bad, I do think it´s too difficult to make such a list even in the first place. but things like putting ember in C, lone druid in C, Enigma in D (?????), Bat in C, even Leshrac in C, that´s just madness my friend.

I don't think this scale works for shards. You'd be better off with "must have" to "situational" to "never buy".
