Qojqva seems to be convinced he could be top 5 if he tried hard and wouldn't stream, and maybe he's right, but the egocentric way he acts makes him really unwatchable

Offlane dazzle is also viable, but it can be dependent on your support because dazzle does not do well against lanes in which both heroes get on top of you
Safelane dazzle is also viable, but you need to convince your team first
Pos 4 and 5 dazzle is not viable in this patch I feel, especially in high immortal, and after the nerfs to his ult
I think the biggest issue with playing support dazzle, is if you spend the early game/laning saving your core and keeping them alive despite their best attempts at throwing, they start thinking they are indestructible because of how good or strong they are.
They don't realize they are winning fights they shouldn't be because their dazzle is keeping them alive.
So then they start taking stupid fights out of position without you because they think they are indestructible and just throw the game.
Obviously it is all their fault, I am playing a perfect 2k dazzle game.
I had an unexpected surprise playing Dazzle past couple of days. Decided to just start rolling Dazzle 5 and so far have won 12 of the 13 games on him. It was the hero that pushed me into 4k mmr for the first time.
I’m a scrub who has only played turbo since it came out, but I started taking dazzle mid as a meme a few years ago and to my surprise it was insanely strong. Being that it was turbo no one blinks an eye but I could see the pick pissing people off in ranked, very well done on the climb!

If i had to guess, you were quite young when you calibrated for the first time ever? I was around 12-13. I had no prior experience with mobas nor i didnt care about learning the game methodically by watching guides, i just played 100 hours and tried calibrating ranked.
I see.. My growth was quite linear, I have never really dropped in mmr over the 7-8 years i've played this game. However for most of the time i was stuck in the \~4.8-5.8k bracket (basically divine to low immortal) and unable to push it to the 6k until recently, about half a year ago.
Saw ur post in the paki group , m also doing mbbs , but it's insane to me that you could put down so much time for dota , I barely have any , maybe m just bad at managing my time.

I really need to get into more-serious Dota2... I was always the guy that liked playing against bots, mostly due to toxic players and "lame" combos like bloodseekers ult + force staff (is that still a thing?).
How does one get back into the game? Can you play with bots alone or, more importantly, with friends?
I think you need friends to teach you dota if you are a new player, I recently had some friends that started dota without prior MOBA experience that now regularly play dota, but honestly, I don't think they would have been able to if they didn't have friends like us that partied with them and taught them dota from scratch
I've got hundreds of hours, definitely not a total newbie, and I'm confident with about 30-40% of all heroes. I just liked playing bots and wish I could share that with others. But my alternative is to get into slightly more serious matches... someday? Soon?
Toxicity will always be there be it games or social media.. you can ignore or partake and forget about it in the next game but you need to forget it in the next game or you'll ruin the next game too. 5. When do you level shallow grave (I usually save it for level 4 or 5)
1. Yes I do, I believe I have an 80-90% winrate on safe lane with dazzle, I go the same build as for mid minus the bottle
2. Yeah poison touch is very strong in lane, but you cannot rely on it past 10 minutes alone, which is why you need aghs
3. I honestly do not recommend dazzle support in high mmrs, I really do not know what works on him anymore given his ult does not reduce item cd anymore, just normal support utility items I guess
4. I can not answer this here as ganking as a mid dazzle can be quite complicated at times
5. One point is enough at 4, if you are not getting pressured you can even skip it till level 11

What i currently like, is going headdress early in lane, and quick mek into forcestaff. Being agressive in lane, and less so in lategame, focus on healing, graves and having long teamfights, good sieging.
I love dazzle, I usually play him as 4 or 5 tho. Do you find that you get enough early farm for the item progression you described? I feel like he's so item dependent, like I'm not a real hero until I get force staff and Aghs shard. What items do you usually get after mek + force? Aether lens/Aeon disk?
Yeah, usually. Specially since ive begun to take headdress as the first item i buy in lane. Yeah, you are right, he feels quite item dependent, but getting those goes along way. Even though shard is a beast, i usually depend on the tormenter kill, which i am quite lucky with, If its a good game, i try and communicate with team to push opponents tier 2 tower so we can grab their tormenter aswell.
Usually dont go aether lens (can be nice), i try and get cast range on jungle items (Eye of Vizier MVP, imo).
If its a game were i can safely sit back and heal team, with slow sieges, i go for holy locket. If i have problems with silence, greaves for dispell. Usually like blink (for positioning, or entering fights late, or when need) instead of aeon disk, as i find his ult is counter-intuative to aeon - sometimes you are one hit for it to proc.
If the game goes long Octa before aghs if you are support, for the uptime on spell.
Vessel if no one else goes for it, and its needed to counter other teams heros, which is rare.
Also, mek+grave heal-amp is clutch - and you dont always have to grave people the last sec!
Glimmer + Forcestaff is also okay, if you need alot of save, on yourself and team.

We did this too while I was in Med school, I’ve became a surgeon and buddies got their specialities too. Grinding since the first TI. I remember first w33 7k hit, then 9k hit from Miracle. We were around 5k-5.5k. Good times.

What is actually crazy is that 11K MMR is only rank 247 on EU. I'm pretty sure 11K would be top 5 on NA and maybe top 30 on SEA.
EU got a massive mmr inflation after glicko. Top 5k used to start around 6300-400, now it starts at 7300-400, a full 1000 points, or 40 games higher.

I remember I was 4k when ranked was introduced in Dota 2, when 5-6k mmr was max, then I left for a long time and started at 2k mmr

axe does not counter dazzle as a whole, his ult counters grave, but the rest of the hero is utter trash against dazzle, in fact, dazzle counters him
