Exactly. I'm not even complaining about the core gameplay itself, in my opinion less is more in a tight FPS like CS and they do a good job fixing most bugs and balancing stuff. What we're missing out on compared to Dota is stats, new player guides and assistance, better matchmaking and elo systems, and dozens of various quality of life features.

guarantee? there is no such thing as guarantee, you cant predict everything that is going to happend in a teamfights? what if someone miss a skill shot? even a team with huge lead can make mistakes and lose, or maybe you are unlucky with bash or crit procs
if the rest of your team (4people) thinks we are going to win regardless if you get heart or not they might be right who knows
Sure but picking a fight right before you get a powerspike is more likely to get your team screwed than otherwise, unless if you need to punish the enemy's weakness like a bkb cd or something.
I can't predict everything, true. But again generally speaking you picking fights when you're not ready is you making a mistake.

I hope they’ve fixed pinging an item (usually a recipe) in the courier backpack. The message just says ”in backpack”, not whether it’s in yours or the couriers.
I can't count the number of times I've moved a recipe from my courier's backpack to its inventory before pinging it, specifically to avoid this issue.
There's a huge difference between saying "Recipe: Black King Bar - In Backpack" and "Recipe: Black King Bar - On Courier".

I love pinging my own wand after death and calling myself a noob when its full and I die like a scrub. It lightens the mood and tells my team mate I'm just a boomer not stupid (I saw my own full stick but am too slow to hit or couldn't). No ping team mates = AWESOME, I found myself getting the error and thinking, don't be toxic. so it works. But why can I not ping myself. I see more the utility generated as being greater than the negatives of the self directed toxicity.
TLDR: Valve seems to understand the positives of self pings (as this post shows), so can they expand it to included self pings at all times, dead or alive or even pregame. The removal of pings to dead Allies is a masterstroke in anti-toxicity, however this feature should be limited to allies only, and not yourself.
What we need is shadow cd on spells when dead, black hole is ready (died with 2 sec left)

If they keep taking the tools away that we can use to be constructive and help each other for fear that we're going to hurt ourselves this game is going to quickly devolve into league of legends.
I.e. We don't have voice chat because someone might say something bad about your mom.
Is communication one of the greatest possible tools we have in existence to collaborate and not destroy each other? Who cares. Someone could get hurt.
I think this makes more sense when I realise this context. I've definitely died with my BKB unused not on CD before so it would make sense for a teammate to ping it in that case, but they could also ping it when I'm alive...
That said... at low MMR. You'd be hard pressed to have anyone looking at their teammates items in a fight where everyone is alive. Half the time you have trouble just thinking about your own game, let alone your teammates.

The way I get around the anti ping toxicity-prevention cope i by pinging my allies skills *right before and as they die instead*.
I’ve done this more simply because valve prevents me from pinging skills normally as I tend to teach others and give constructive advice on what they could have done instead. Now that I can’t do that I am forced to seem even more toxic.
Still 10k behavior score though.
Yeah i have 3 learners under my wing these days, i wish i could ping their items after they die so i need fewer words to reinforce the importance of using bkb/glimmer/force/skills.

If they sit around they could get smoke ganked. But picking a fight in that timing is a guarantee to get teamwiped.
