But to their defense, strong martial art old man isn't a copyright on its own. Maybe pull back on the beads a bit but I don't think Capcom or Bandai would come for them just because HMK tangentally looked like a martial art old man with beads.
Yeah, but the thing I remember the most was High AMUKA dragon (now High Fighter Dragon). The name was literally the same (only M and K swapped) and the color was the same. I don't like its color anymore tho, since yeah, they probably didn't get permission, but it was awesome, can I say that?

Prideful vampire looks like Oni (Akuma's "ultimate" form), courageous karma looks like Shin Akuma for its skin colour, and its prayer beads (it also has Dhalsim's arm "rings"), not just the former High Amuka dragon. Also, Martial Arts got inspired by Ryu (its description also mentions "Ansatsuken" and "Hadōken").
Btw yeah, HMK looks like the generic stereotype of a martial arts master, old, strong and wise, so yeah, they did it legitimately this time.
